JUST days after winning the final season of the X Factor last year, teenage singer Isaiah Firebrace staked his claim to be the next Australian contestant at the Eurovision Song Contest.
He will be up against another Australian television talent quest contestant at the Ukraine spectacular in May with former The Voice winner Anja Nissen chosen to represent her native Denmark this year.
He does already have a profile there with his post X Factor single It’s Gotta Be You reaching No 4 on the Finnish iTunes charts, partly due to the profile of his coach Adam Lambert there.
Many countries who feature in the Eurovision Song Contest stage their own competitions to decide their candidates.
