Oh my!....Cute outfit and shoes, but much more appropriate for early/mid-teenagers...with less "mature" figures....and definitely NOT appropriate office/business wear!
Frankly, it's SO wrong/improper on so many levels...IMO! Am I being an old fuddy-duddy?
1. I agree that the outfit is cute; 2. Only for teenagers? I wear dresses like that one all the time in the summer, and I'm 37. Only heard compliments when I wear them. 3. It's not an office, it's radio. Different rules.
And speaking of rules, they changed a lot since the mid-Century, and I'm surprised that you're still being surprised ;)
Jola...I'm happy for you that outfits like that work for you. You must be very cute, slender, lithe and youthful appearing for so many compliments.
Agree with you that it's NOT an office, but radio....and undoubtedly falls under different rules. I realized later that I was wrong about that. Sorry. Thanks for pointing that out.
Also, thanks for pointing out that I AM an old fuddy-duddy....but you have to admit that there are certain classic rules of style, taste, appropriateness....and manners...that STILL hold true....or should... even in today's "anything goes" society.
The word "classy" comes to mind. And I guess I'll ALWAYS be surprised to see less and less of it these days. That's not just an "age" thing.
And I STILL think that outfit looks "little-girl cute"... IMO. Sorry if that offends you.
Jola....P.S. Do you ALSO wear those "matching" high-lift sneakers with your "dresses like that"? Just wondering....since I was talking about the "TOTAL OUTFIT", of which the shoes are a very STRONG component.
There's nothing wrong with a simple summer sundress... in the right environment
