Adam Lambert has slammed Donald Trump and his first 100 days in office, calling his term so far ‘a fucking mess’.
The American Idol star and touring Queen frontman has often been very vocal in his opposition against the Trump administration.
When asked about the recent landmark of Trump making it to 100 days
in The White House, Lambert told NME: “I think it’s been a fucking mess
really, and I think anyone who was on my side of the fence would agree
with me – but you know, I hope that we as a country can wake up.
Hopefully in three and half years from now, in the next term, can make
better decisions as a whole country. I hope more and more people will
step up and make the changes that we need to make.”

Totally agree with Adam. I am more horrified everyday. Vote in 2018, our lives depend on it.
He's right in with his assessment!
I feel Adam's pain, which I share with him. Sadly things will only get worse - predominantly for his voters who will still defend him and his appointees.
I do not agree with Adam. Also no matter who is president, we all owe him or her respect. JMO I am also aware Adam has fee speech, as I do.
I agree with Adam, too. I especially like his comment about people coming together and working hard to change things as they have become. The next presidential election requires unity and commitment. And as Allysa Mentor says, our lives depend on it.
I too, would love to see Adam sing with Led Zeppelin.
I think "fucking mess" is an understatement, but it will do for a public statement.
I'm with ADAM .. we are in danger as a country because the ones who are now in charge are out of control!! The pen wielding boss man in the Oval Office is always signing away some more rights that have been so fervently fought for by the populace in years gone by .. in comes an ex reality star who knows nothing about governing just likes to write his name with his bobble headed yes men who only care about the well being of the elite 1% & vote without reading what they vote for!! Well ... we may have freedom of speech but that's where it ends & unless something is done about it ... I fear for what tomorrow may bring for America & it's freedom!! GOD HELP America!!

I don't think criticizing someones work is naturally a form of disrespect. To be honest, respect shouldn't be connected to a certain position or status, blindfolded submission and obedience due to someones status/position is dangerous IMHO.
Go Lambert Outlaw! Well said!!!
Marion, I agee that blind submission is dangerous.
I think people including the President have to earn respect. Telling me I have to respect someone isn't going to change what I think inside myself. I do have respect for the office of the President of the USA but I've seen no indication that our current President has any respect for it. I'll be forming my opinions on the actions of the person.
You can respect the office, but not the man, especially since the man shows very little respect for others. At least we can take solace in the fact that Frances is now STILL a Democracy. Had the other one been voted in, they could be facing the resurgence of fascism in Europe which could not end well, given what happened in the late 30's.
I'm taking the high road on this. It's not President Trump fault, that his 100 days blanking mess. Blame on Democrats in Congress who has been stonewalling his agenda.
Uh huh.
Even though republicsns have majority in both the senate and congress. Those damn democrats!
Here we go again .. blame it on the Democrats!! Of course the Conservatives & the rogue Republicans in Congress have nothing to do with the voting ... Right?? The Democrats are not the only ones responsible ... we can also THANK the other intelligent delegates from Congress that are trying to hold back this flood of imbecilic mandates that are helping no one & hurting millions!! Come on!! JMHO
tess4ADAM(LAMBERT Outlaw)
Wow, I would have never guessed blaming the Democrats is the high road. I gotta definitely disagree with that.
I agreed!!:) I'm a proud Canadian and everyone has the right with their on opinions!:)
Who would thought that your new President in charge is clueless!:( Some people said that you need to give the new guy a chance but the problem is, he is not trying to unite Americans.
No matter if the voters are against with the President, he needs to make an effort and be humble reaching to every citizens in his country. He is the problem!!:(
"High road".........well I guess if all of your political information comes from Fox News and a certain person's Twitter account.
Not all my news comes from "Fox News" or "President Trump" twitter account. I made my observations from other news channels.
Adam uses my favourite exhortation; Wake up! I often use here when muddle-headed people provoke me.
Okay, firstly, nice photo of a composed smiling President Trump alongside two great Artists; now that's a combustive juxtaposition when they don't see eye-to-eye. Frankly, I like all three of them! Ranking order of like: Adam, Dr Brian, President Trump. Power-wise, read from right to left.
Yes, I'd agree with Adam it's a bit of a mess but that is true too for any a person holding the world on the palm of his hand. He has to take into consideration 360 degrees, matters that affect not only his own vast country but the world at large. So based on that ginormous responsibility/burden plonged on Mr Trump's shoulder, mess is relatively mild and acceptable.
Also, starting something on a new footing has to evolve to get it right; perhaps my analogy would be a waterfall hurling down a steep mountain, then fierce rapids before eventually branching out into calm tributaries. I've said before, I would give President Trump 1 year or so before I pronounce it mess or not.
In a year it will have snow balled from a mess into a catastrophe ... I don't know if anything can be done if that happens!! I just hope it never gets to that point!! Trump reminds me of a kid with a new toy .. first he enjoys playing with it until he becomes bored ... then he has to take it apart & find out what makes it go ... only problem is ... the toy can never be repaired so he just tosses it in the junk pile instead of asking someone to help him!! By then it is beyond repair so no one cares about it anymore!! Is that the future of America?? I sincerely hope not!!
tess4ADAM(LAMBERT Outlaw)
That's a good analogy Lambert Outlaw.
Here's mine. This country has drifted into and is treading deep ugly standing water that has no depths. We used our one vote to put Trump on land to save us all. Now he's helping out people like himself and poking the rest of us with a long stick to make it more difficult for us to get to shore.
Well said Outlaw.
Sorry Lam, I usually agree with your posts but trump is dangerous, as is pence. The whole idea of religious freedom is pence- he believes in conversion therapy. Adam is gay. You just cannot be a fan of his and still want to give the trump administration a chance. They are against everything he is.
Lam-My, I agree with you. All the decisions being made are from committees working on them and then presented to Trump. So far I personally have not been hurt by any of these decisions. The main one I would like to see, that most people have got wrong through fake news, is that Trump never said he wanted to get rid of all immigrants, he said quite clearly several times, he wants to send illegal criminals back to their country, and I say sends their wives and children with them, so that families are not separated. All other legal immigrants are more than welcome to stay and enjoy our country. The conversion therapy will never be passed, don't forget the liberals have a vote in that too.
Such privilege, Anne Marie. You haven't personally been hurt, thus give trump a chance.
That's deplorable thinking.
I hope you are personally affected, so you can see the shame in your words.
Good bye, everyone. I won't be back here. In these times, there is no middle ground. Those who support trump in any way, or give him and his administration as pass in any way, are deplorable, and IMO have no right to call themselves a fan of someone like Adam, who strives for freedom for all, rights for all, that all are equal. Shame on you for thinking trump is anything but who has shown he is- he assaults women, mocks the disabled, the list of things he is really is endless.
Shame on you for thinking because you haven't been personally affected, trump must be ok.
Has anyone been personally hurt, so far. I doubt it. Trump is not against the LGTB communities, so I see no changes there. The Supreme Court has voted for gay marriage, so that would be extremely hard to change. I feel very privileged to live in this country, and I hope a lot of things under Obamas ruling will change.
I totally agree with you Archie except that I will be back here. I hope you reconsider because the majority here (that I've seen) think like you. Trump supporters don't think beyond their personal experience and nothing will change their thinking.
Unless Ann Marie is in that top 1%, she will be affected very soon by Trumpcare, environmental issues, tax issues, safety issues, etc, rolled out by this present WH.
As far as I can see, Trump's "committees" are mostly corporate lobbyists, billionaires, Republican party loyalists, Bannon, Jared and Ivanka. Their policies are self-serving and will only be more so in the future.
Conversion therapy should not even enter our vocabulary, but the continued and concerted efforts to diminish LGBT rights is tantamount to that concept. To think otherwise shows total lack of perspective.
I want to add one more thing. Even if you are not personally affected I have absolutely no understanding how you can sit back watch other people being treated like they aren't real human beings. How cold do you have to be to watch others suffer at the hands of the 1%.
I'm proud to be a bleeding heart liberal.
@ArchieGoodwin
Please consider staying here. Your voice as a dedicated Adam Lambert fan is much appreciated.
"Has anyone been personally hurt" - for sure we will be. Should one have to wait until de facto our medical insurance escalates, have no medical insurance, have environment and food polluted through deregulation, corporations protected from lawsuits, banks deregulated for consumer protections, huge tax breaks for the rich - and then cry foul? Or should we behave in a democratic way and ask our govt for a semblance of ethical governance?
Yes, stay Archie.... we need right-thinking people here. You'll find discord whereever you go. That seems our lot these days, at least until the Trump voters finally realize that "THE EMPEROR HAS NO CLOTHES"... and is merrily signing away and giving away all the things that make life better, healthier and safer for everyday citizens... like US! Like the world!
Trump's version is "let them eat cake"! He is bringing more and more predators into our government! You hear about the "Russian oligarchy" now...but soon you'll hear the same about the "U.S. oligarchy".... at least if Trump doesn't get us all killed in a nuclear war before then!
A personal comment on the "Has anyone been personally hurt, so far." question/statement:
I have a son who is Adam's age, who is a hard worker, who works 7 days a week right now to make ends meet.. His employer (for whom he has worked for many years) offers health insurance but he couldn't afford the premiums, and afford to eat & have a place to live. He is married and has 2 children. As a result he had no health coverage for himself. A few years ago, he developed Type 2 Diabetes. And had put off some surgery that was not life threatening but much needed. The Affordable Care Act (aka as Obamacare) was a God send for him, and for so many millions of others in the US.. Certainly not a perfect system but also much better than Mr. T. and his cohorts would like us to believe. He can now afford to take care of his basic health needs. He is alive. He can also afford to eat and have roof over his head, and provide for his family. With the new proposed (but not yet finalized) Republican sponsored Health Care plan, it is entirely possible that he would either be kicked off the plan entirely or be required to pay a much more expensive amount of money "premium surcharge" because of his pre-existing condition. One of his young daughters is autistic, another proposed "pre-existing condition" that may require a higher premium surcharge. People who are "older" could also be charged much more. My sister in law has had cancer, another "pre-existing condition" and while she is currently stable, she requires some very expensive prescription medications, probably for the rest of her life, that could end up being much more expensive, not to mention the hideously higher priced insurance premiums because of her medical history.. There was a congressman who recently suggested (stupidly) that people who lead "clean, good" lives should pay less. Inferring that those who lead less than "good" lives should pay more to stay alive. None of the relatives I listed above with pre-existing conditions deserve to be treated that way. My granddaughter was born with the predisposition for autism (her mother has Aspergers, a high functioning form: Autism is thought to have a genetic component in some cases... She also has ADHD, another challenge for her. My sister in law leads a healthy clean living life, as does my son. We can debate this and so many more issues until we're blue in the face and angry at each other, but the bottom line for me, and I suspect many others, is that we as a nation need to have a certain amount of compassion for those of our citizens who are less fortunate in terms of health, income, etc..
That is only one of the many things that concerns me about the new administration, the way things seem to be headed in this country. I'm a quote/unquote liberal. I do keep track of news, and I do listen to both "sides" of every issue, every concern, every proposal.. I am very worried that we'll be going backwards, not forward, in a number of areas if this administration and the Republican controlled congress is allowed to go ahead with many of their proposals.. I was pleased to see that 2 of my state's Republican representatives voted "NO" last week re the proposed Health Care plan. They had big enough concerns about the plan that they did not vote party line. It remains to be seen what happens in the Senate. I do appreciate that this huge issue/proposal is being taken seriously and perhaps will be better fine tuned with the health and well being of US citizens in mind, and not just massive tax cuts for the wealthy..
And yes, I have to agree with Adam. I feel that Mr. T. came into the job ill-prepared with no real understanding of just what was involved, how difficult it actually is to run the country, both with the knowledge it takes and with respect for all of it's citizens.. I only hope that he's learning his way and we come out of this in one piece. All of our people.
Hi Anne Marie...good to hear from you always; and ArchieGoodwin for your response.
I'm speaking as an interested party largely due to Adam whom I follow. I definitely do not sense the real problems you are facing firsthand on the ground. But as Adam says we are still very much the same. For instance in matters of healthcare/insurance; this is a crucial universal concern. It's devastating to the poor and pensioners who depend a lot on government subsidies to alleviate their pain, anxiety, poverty that can be brought on by illness or unforeseen catastrophe, not knowing if a doctor is available or when the next meal may be. It's very frightening ! To gain people's confidence in his Presidency, Mr Trump ought to regard this with topmost urgency. And also education, just as crucial if not most.
With regards President Trump, I still want to give him a minimum of a year. Yes, he is treading on unfamiliar territory but he admitted it, saying is a lot more work than running a business. He makes mistakes but rectifies them efficaciously with advice from his very experienced team. His sheer power and a firm hold of world business/affairs give him a wide reach and solid standing as President of United States; as we can see, Presidents/Prime Ministers all over the world respond positively or visit him.
Finally, I don't think Mr Trump is against gay people, regardless if his other Team Members are. The final decision in all matters rests with him. I recall he walked out on stage so proudly using Freddie Mercury's 'We Are The Champions'...doesn't that tell you something? He could have used any other song...I think it's his way of expressing acceptance to the gay community. I also saw a photo of him holding the Rainbow flag on one of his meets.
I'd emphasise again I'm speaking as a concerned observer.
Lam-My... since you are a citizen of Singapore... NOT AN AMERICAN CITIZEN... you have been requested before by several of us not to pontificate on how we should run our country, and not to constantly extol what you consider the "virtues" of Donald Trump.
You cannot possibly understand all the ramifications of life in our country, and have no right to ram your opinions down our throats on matters that are very personal to us. This is only an interesting intellectual exercise for you...but deadly serious for us. You can take it or leave it.....we can't!
Read Glitzylady's story above for just one family's problems and worries that are in the hands of such a careless and self-absorbed man. And then, please be kind, courteous and considerate enough to refrain from further commenting on our politics.
Aha, the scared one! trying to clamp me down again and again, from saying things that are universal ! not pertaining only to your country! Healthcare, education, the scourge of poverty, minorities...these are universal issues and I am talking as a citizen of the world global community; therefore have every right to do so! You also do not have the right to tell me not to "extol" on President Trump; you are in fact violating my personal human rights to be able to express my opinions on Internet! Wake up! And take control of your own inadequacies!
Thank you for being so courteous and considerate! I expected nothing less.
@Anonymus8 you said it right, that Conversion-therapy shouldn't even enter our vocabulary. When I hear that I always have to think of the move "changeling" with Angelina Jolie, where they put these wire to her head and it makes me shudder!
Saying someone can't be "that bad" because one hasn't been personally affected is simple and short-minded...it's this sense of "as long as I have my comfortable chair to sit in, I don't see any reason to worry"
@Lam-My Inadequacies? ...in what aspekt of ther person are people critizising Trump inadequant? Inadequant in their health? Inadequant in the amoount of money they own?
Marion M....thanks for the defense....but beware... she stings...
"Inadequacies" was meant as a PERSONAL insult to me... her response to those who disagree with her...using juvenile bullying tactics...name-calling and insults... very "Trumpian".
'How can you say, ‘Brother, let me take the speck out of your eye,’ while you yourself fail to see the beam in your own eye? You hypocrite, first take the beam out of your own eye, and then you will see clearly to remove the speck from your brother’s eye.' ~ Luke.
Similarly, deal with your own inadequacies first rather than interfere and clamp me down all the time...intimidated Stalker! with increasing frequency.
Stalker story...
Pharaoh:
Someone seems to be following us.
Lam-My:
I don't see anyone.
Pharaoh:
You can't see but I can hear constant footsteps behind us.
Lam-My:
Okay, let's set a booby-trap; if someone is stalking, she'll be too engrossed and won't see the trap.
Pharaoh: How?
Lam-My:
Aha, I see a ditch in the ground; pretend to look inside Pharaoh, while I surreptitiously lay some long dried twigs over it.
Pharaoh: But she'll see what we are doing and avoid the pitfall.
Lam-My:
Wah, Pharaoh, you are real smart! No wonder your Daddy loves you so much.
Lam-My:
Okay, how about, you keep looking and scratching at the brink of the hole while I find something.
The stalker comes closer to see what Pharaoh is looking at in the hole. Whoa! there is a tarantula.
Wham! Bam! Lam-My comes from behind some hedges and lo and behold, with all her God-given strength, pushes the Stalker....down down she falls into the ditch.
Stalker: Help! Help! Tarantula is crawling up my thigh!
A passerby takes pity on the screaming Stalker and heaves her out of the ditch and flicks away the tarantula. By this time, Lam-My and Pharaoh have changed their course on the winding trail heading in the opposite direction. Yep, they shake off the Stalker with style!
Moral of the story: Thou shalt not stalk!
