"[Katy]Perry is the first onscreen talent to join the competition-series revival. As Variety reported last week, Ryan Seacrest is in advanced talks to rejoin the franchise as host, but no deal has yet been finalized. ABC had approached “Idol” season-one champion Kelly Clarksion about joining the reboot as a judge, but those talks were scuttled when Clarkson signed on as a coach for season 14 of NBC’s “The Voice.”
ABC has also held talks with country star Carrie Underwood to join the series, as well as fellow “American Idol” alum Adam Lambert. Perry and Lambert are both represented by Direct Management Group."

So it's Katy for sure so far. Still a chance for ADAM. I want it very much for him. It would be a great boost in many ways. Some have said that he may not be available, but I think if he wasn't available, he would have said so by now. Fingers crossed that it happens. Love my Adam to be very high profile!
Katy and .Adam would have great chemistry. Love .Carrie, but not enough personality, no offense.
Katy really likes Adam. Hope she has some influence in the decision. They'd make a great pair of judges. I agree about Carrie. Beautiful and talented, but doesn't have a dynamic personality. JMO.
I hope Adam is asked and accepts the job.
with Katy and Adam as judges I would watch the show For Sure. They would be perfect together :)
Remember... when Adam was a contestant on American Idol....Katy Perry was already a fan. She was playing in Vegas(I believe) during that time, and had a costume with a cape. When she turned her back on the audience, and held her cape out like wings....ADAM LAMBERT was written across the back in large script....leaving no doubt who she would vote for! That was great!
She and Adam together would add a lot of fun to the panel.
Perfect . . Adam and Katy . . now we need a couple of older judges . . I loved Kara . . anyone but Randy
My only concern is that Adam because of his looks. Charm and music knowledge might be a little too much competition for Katy. I'm sure she will have input . js
They would be a great combination plus Paula .. loved her on AI .. ADAM & his two lady fans!! Great show ... bring it on!! No snarky judges please!!

I liked Kara too & was disappointed when she left.
She wrote Adam's "Strut" which is a great song.
Interesting info...fluttsp...I didn't know Kara wrote "Strut". I looked it up, and was surprised that Kara, Adam and Greg Wells share writing credits for "Strut". I like "Strut".
You know, when AI brought Kara on as a judge, I had never heard of her, and often wondered what her credentials were for being there. Turns out she was a song-writer! Huh!
I liked her too.
