Don't know where to put this, so I'll just say it here. "Playmobil: The Movie" was supposed to be in theatres in January 2019 .... I thought. Then I read somewhere that the company that was originally supposed to distribute it in the U.S. would no longer be handling it.

Then I read on the Playmobil website that its U.S. viewing would not be until August 2019.

And, finally, when I visited the Playmobil website again just now, and I looked up the proposed viewings.... there were 14 countries it was to be distributed in....and the U.S. was NO LONGER LISTED AT ALL!

What's going on? Is it possible that it won't be distributed in the U.S. after all? Very upsetting!

Nanbert...I have confidence Playmobile will be shown in the US.

I think they probably got a new distributor. That last playmobil movie made 400,000,000 or more just in theaters not mentioning pay per view, and then going to movie channels and DVD sales. They have changed the date of distribution quite a few times. Maybe they are still working for a new one but most likely the d distributors are already or will be replaced. They may distribute it abroad first then here I doubt it tho. Would make no sense not to distribute it the United States where it makes good amount of the income. There has been so much stuff about this movie I don't know. Adam announcing it means he got the greenlight to tell about it, but he never sId the release date. I've heard several release dates that changed but I don't believe Adam would have told us about it if not coming out here. May be a delay because of distributor but they probably already replaced them at least I hope so Adam has never said the date yet. I know Jan.18 was said but believe we can just wait Adam will tell us when. Pretty sure that movie was not cheap to make they have to recover their money. I would not get to upset I've heard over time different release dates. Not everything over internet is correct. The fact Adam finally got the green light to announce it says more.

Sunflower and Sue..... I'm sure you're right...my feelings, too. But can't help but hope it'll come to the U.S. sooner rather than later. Would love to have something DEFINITE to plan on/look forward to!

I agree with Sue. I think it's not uncommon for distributors to change. And this was an expensive movie to make. I'm sure that when the distribution details are ironed out, it will be released on a date that has not yet been decided. I'm sure it will be released in the US. Probably not before summer. Can't wait to hear Adam being the voice of his villain!
