Two great reviews of the Queen + Adam Lambert concert at the Amalie Arena in Tampa on Sunday, August 18, 2019 from the Tampa Bay Times and the Sarasota Post (with the reviewer from the latter newspaper seemingly a Glambert!).

UPDATED (8/20/19): Added reviews from Creative Loafing Tampa Bay and Boca magazine.

Tampa Bay Times:
Review: Queen and Adam Lambert delight
sold-out Amalie Arena in blockbuster Tampa debut

"...the impassioned Tampa crowd, who sang and danced and showered as much love upon Lambert as they might have on Mercury himself."
"As for Lambert, while he’s a gifted rock vocalist, he doesn’t exactly sound like Freddie Mercury -- and that’s likely precisely the point. Unlike Journey’s Steve Perry sound-alike Arnel Pineda, Lambert’s got his own thing going ... And there’s some Freddie in there, of course, but it’s more in his sparkle, his snazz, his ineffable Adamness."
"As veteran artists go, Queen and Lambert are surprisingly resourceful, spreading stacks of harmonies across a relatively tight six-man operation."

Sarasota Post:
Queen and Adam Lambert’s “Rhapsody” Tour
Rules Tampa at the Amalie Arena

credit: Vicky Sullivan / Sarasota Post
"Lambert has both the pipes and the flamboyance to pay tribute to Mercury and his music with respect and his own style. Lambert has been doing it since 2011!"
"Adam Lambert is in full, spectacular voice!"
"Another striking moment in the show is 'Who Wants to Live Forever' with Adam giving a hauntingly beautiful vocal run to one of Queen’s most serious musical renderings."
"'Show Must Go On' a Freddie tune that puts Lambert to the task of his vocal pipes and drama filled lyrics. This all seems second nature to Lambert..."

Creative Loafing Tampa Bay:
Adam Lambert isn’t Freddie Mercury,
but that’s more than OK for
sold-out Tampa concert

credit: Tracy May
"...one of the most celebrated collab shows around, as the group has been booked on an endless leg of international tours since 2011...it is indeed one of the top touring rock acts in the world."
"...Lambert unleashed everything in his arsenal — from his high-range on 'Somebody to Love' to humping a motorcycle during 'Bicycle Race' to coaxing smiles out of everyone in attendance (including Brian May) with his enigmatic charm..."

Boca Magazine:
Queen and Adam Lambert Play
Sold-Out Show at BB&T Center

"The event was an energetic one, with frontman Adam Lambert paying respect to the late Freddie Mercury, from his edgy facial expressions to an epic voice."

That he is Kim Moreau. In my opinion there no one like him and I doubt will see Adam's likes again. At least I will not. He so unique and yes what a performer and vocalist he is. So pleased more and more people are discovering the glorious talent and showmanship of Adam Lambert. Thank you for posting.

I like that "his Adamness"! I have family in Tampa but they didn't go to the show. My brother likes Adam but my sister in law not so sure. 2 great reviews!
