I found a couple of poems I wrote regarding Adam carrying Freddie Mercury's torch. The oldest I found (June 2016) and an updated version (Mar 2019).
I'm bringing the 'torch' poems back because I feel Adam is no more carrying Freddie's torch as a substitute; Adam in fact has integrated himself into the Queen/Freddie legacy on his own terms and style. I know Adam is very proud to carry Freddie's torch, otherwise he won't be saying it night after night. But now, I feel he also owns a large part of the Queen legacy as Dr Brian and Roger put it...'he is one in a billion voice'. So I shall not be extolling anymore Freddie's torch poems.
Regardless, I still have huge appreciation, respect for Freddie and Queen; music geniuses, so creative.

Not to mean Adam is a stand-in for Freddie but in reality, Freddie did pass his torch to Adam, the last runner of the Queen Relay team and Adam lit the Queen cauldron which unexpectedly flared up till this day. A sad quirky story prompted by Adam's Gucci bag...

Dr Amorph, a brilliant doctor who specialised in the healing of mental disorders was walking down the street. Suddenly, a man ran up to him and without warning grabbed his Gucci bag.
Hey! That's my doctor's bag ! Give it back to me, I'm on my way to treat a delirious man who told me on the phone he wanted to die.

The man turned round, smiled and confessed he was the man on the phone. Goodness gracious ! The man introduced himself as Moh, an immigrant from a far-off country and found life unbearable in his new city...people trampled on him as he was slow in his movement due to a limp he suffered as a child; instead of walking, he looked as if he was wobbling side to side.

Hi Moh, glad to meet you...Moh returned the Gucci bag to Dr Amorph and invited him back to his little one-room apartment across the road. They sat down on the couch and Dr Amorph started examining his patient, listened to his heartbeat, whoa!
Dr Amorph took out a syringe and a vial of serum, injected it into Moh's arm to lower the blood pressure which was causing the mental hypertension.
Moh calmed down and brought out a cup of tea for the doctor. Everything seemed fine on the surface, then, Moh morphed...his hair dropped off by the handful and his eyes shone a luminous green; little by little he turned into a bald-head, green eyed alien...his ears grew smaller leaving two round holes and he started to speak in a nasal robotic voice.
What happened to the real Moh...Dr Amorph didn't look surprised as if expecting this grotesque outcome due to the medication....
He was himself an Alien ! in the human form. ! Why was he doing this?

Dr Alien was from another galaxy and had been living among humans on Earth for a long time, mingling with them; they trusted him cuz he was able to heal them of their migraines, anxiety, depression and other chronic mental disorders. Dr Amorph used advanced therapeutic technology that targeted the human DNA to change and restore the malfunctioning molecule to cure seemingly incurable diseases.
So what's going to happen to Moh? He would not be able to go out or meet people in his altered appearance. Moh begged Dr Amorph to return him to his original state. Dr Amorph calmed him and said his hair would grow back and his eyes would return to normal; minus the chronic migraine.

Meanwhile, since Moh looked like a green alien, he decided to take him to his galaxy. They got into Amorph's car and drove to a far-off remote desert where his flying-saucer lay covertly under a huge bush canopy. They got into the flying-saucer and zoomed into outer space through a time portal. Within minutes...arrived on Dr Alien's planet. The flying-saucer floated through a pitch-black tunnel at the end of which a gigantic dome opened up into a vast expanse of ether, Dr Alien's laboratory ! Wah, so sophisticated, surrounded by weird looking equipment; dim hollow passages leading further into the dome labyrinth. Moh was simply dumbfounded...also had difficulty breathing due to the thin ether. Dr Alien then lay Moh on an operation-table and experimented on him; he took samples of Moh's blood and kept them in vials lodged in minus 1000 degrees nitrogen to preserve it. Moh was awake all the while but was not afraid cuz everything seemed too strange to be scared, moreover Dr Alien did cure his migraine, like a miracle.

What are you going to do with my blood samples, Dr Amorph ?

I have hundreds of DNA samples in my blood bank and I study them to see how by altering the DNA, I can cure all kinds of mental diseases which I specialise in, because mental diseases ruin not only the person but their family and friends. Moh was highly impressed by the alien advanced medical science.

Lo and behold, as they were walking out of the laboratory, Moh saw himself in a mirror...he couldn't believe what he saw, not only was his migraine completely gone, he looked 10 years younger! the handsome lad he once was ! Moh was really touched by Dr Alien's ingenuity and brain. They got back into the flying saucer...
Hold on a minute Moh, I forgot my doctor Gucci bag !

When they got back to Earth, Dr Amorph drove Moh to his apartment. A crowd had gathered, they were gesturing for Moh to come out...someone had seen an alien leaving his apartment. Moh then calmed the crowd saying, that alien was him and introduced Dr Amorph as an advanced alien doctor who cured him. Some welcomed him but a group surrounded Dr Amorph and shouted: Alien ! Alien ! And pushed him to the ground, started assaulting him. Dr Alien then took out a vial from his Gucci doctor bag, drank its contents. Within seconds, he disappeared leaving a little puddle of green liquid on the ground...
Moh was really sad to see him go like this and waved at the sky to bid him a safe journey home to his galaxy. 🪐 👽🤢

Moh, it's me Dr Amorph.

Moh was so surprised by Dr Amorph's reappearance and what a great relief; he couldn't sleep all night after Dr Amorph suddenly disappeared.

So happy you are back, Doctor.

I came to check on you...a follow-up to see if your chronic migraine is really healed; I always do that with my patients, regarding my medical procedures.

I'm okay Doctor; but not sure if I want to be turned into an alien again, was scary. As you can see, people will capture me like what they did to you. How do you make yourself vanish in broad daylight?

Moh, for all intents and purposes, I did not leave at all, I do not abandon my patients. I was standing right next to you, to make sure they didn't attack you too.

But I didn't see you and so waved to the sky; thought you might have returned to your galaxy.

I was enveloped in an invisible alien bubble caused by the vial of serum that I took; an ancient alien defence mechanism which I use as a last resort; it has ramification, like may not be able to return.

Thank goodness, you're okay Doctor.

Doctor Amorph opened his Gucci doctor bag, took out his stethoscope, examined Moh...pronounced him...
