Thrilling news this morning that Adam Lambert just announced on Instagram:  the "Side A" (part 1) of his new album VELVET will be released on September 27, 2019!

And, in advance of that, the first big single off the album, "Superpower," will be released September 4th!

AND: we have a photo of the album cover above and of the track listing below!

And... you can pre-order the album right now directly on the website of EMPIRE, the record company distributing VELVET, link below.  (We've repeated the link further on down the page, as well).  The pre-order price is only US $10.00 + $5.00 shipping + tax if you are located in California.

PRE-ORDER "VELVET SIDE A"

The full name of the record company is EMPIRE Distribution, Records and Publishing Inc. and is located in San Francisco.  Primarily a hip-hop label and established in 2010, some of the artists currently on their roster include the legendary Snoop Dogg, Tyga, Anderson Paak, B.o.B., and DJ Fresh.  EMPIRE has also previously released albums by Kendrick Lamar, Iggy Azalea, Jewel, SZA, Robin Thicke, Shaggy, Migas and Busta Rhymes.

As Adam is not listed on the "ARTISTS" roster on their website (yet), we are not sure if he is actually considered an official EMPIRE artist or if they are simply the company he is partnering with to distribute the album, as have some of the artists listed above.

Screencap for those without Instagram:

PRE-ORDER "VELVET SIDE A"
below is just a screencap of the order page; you must use link above to order

ALSO: Adam has put up a third IG with an audio snippet of, presumably, the new single (only available on Instagram at the moment; we will post YouTube when available).

Massive appreciation to glitzylady for help in creating this post!

Very exciting!!!!!! It's finally happening. Adam has got himself out there in front of a lot of new people with QAL. I hope Superpower is a REALLY strong song that grab everybody!

Dee and all: just added additional stuff -- track listing! And short promo video of album -- music playing may or may not be from single -- we will soon find out! Unable to put up a YouTube of the promo video as yet for those who don't have IG. :(

Actually, I am having problem today putting up ANY YouTube videos for any post -- I'm not sure if this is a YouTube bug or they have somehow blocked me from sharing for some reason. I was also going to put up a post of videos from the Columbus concert -- but can't! Hopefully can get that resolved soon.

Interesting that the three songs that are already out are on side b - gonna try and wait until the whole album is out before I listen, I just hope that the full album is out on cd/vinyl before the end of this year

Love the titles of the new songs! Very provocative! Hope we see some very visible, aggressive promo for Adam through the release of Velvet. He's pretty high-profile now with the QAL shows getting lots of press and reviews. Good timing!

Chris Walton, Adam did say side 2 will be out in 2020. Just wanted to tell you that because that's a long time wait to hear these songs and the album. He did say tbere would be at least 12 songs on the entire album. Cant wait for the song and side 1 album release.

I kind of like this gradual release strategy. It keeps the fans anticipating new songs over a period of time instead of the whole thing all at once. We'll see how it works! I am excited!

Oh, my! I have to make a confession about that album cover for "Velvet"....it's that great mass of green velvet curtains.

Everytime I see those curtains, I can't help but remember Carol Burnett walking down the steps dressed in her green velvet curtains (with the curtain rod still in them) in that "Gone With the Wind" skit on her show! Hilarious!

I bet I'm not the only one.
