Very interesting 'behind-the-scenes' piece in Hollywood trade paper Variety on how the stunning visual imagery of the Queen + Adam Lambert tour came about, courtesy of London-based stage design firm Stufish Entertainment Architects.
Stufish is legendary in their own right for having designed countless magnificent rock concert stage sets for artists including Madonna, The Rolling Stones, Lady Gaga, U2, and Janet Jackson, as well as the iconic staging for Pink Floyd's The Wall Tour in 1980-81.
They have served as the sole set design company for Queen + Adam Lambert from their very first tour in 2014 and all the way through today for The Rhapsody Tour — and that includes the set for Q+AL's residency in Las Vegas last September, which I attended and was completely blown away by the sets & lights!
"...a marvel of technical advances that mix video imagery, lighting and kinetic sculptures to create a three-act narrative."
"...the success of 'Bohemian Rhapsody' attracted a younger audience with video-game expectations to the tour and upped the stakes for Queen + Adam Lambert."
"...the 3D video borrows imagery from the band’s albums 'A Night at the Opera,' 'The Works' and 'The Game' — and ends with the set’s virtual destruction."
Very first comment under the article:
"This Queen+Adam Lambert tour just took my #2 spot as the most visually-stimulating show I have ever seen (Sorry, but Roger Waters – ‘The Wall slides in at #1. But Queen, in 1980, is also #3) Kudos to Adam for making Freddie’s absence more bearable."
The Rhapsody Tour photos throughout this post are from the Stufish Entertainment Architects website which has a separate feature page for each of the Queen + Adam Lambert tours, all of which are filled with wonderful photos accompanied by brief commentary on the design for each show.

You're joking, Tess...?? Or no?
Roger Waters from Pink Floyd Lambert Outlaw! The Wall is an iconic song of this British band and I love it myself. I always sing it when I hear it on the radio. Lol
