Well, looks like we're off on another romance. I hope it turns out for the best....for both of them, if possible. But I'm a Glambert, NOT an Oliverbert, Javibert...or whoever else turns up... and dearly hope that fans won't get too bogged down in EVERY DETAIL (youthful appearance! pearls! rabbits! visas!) about Adam's latest "flame"!
Hey!..... they're both just attractive, adult, single men...doing what attractive, adult, single men do! We don't even know if they are being exclusive! At least give their relationship a year or two before "descending" on them....or you might make their "fishbowl" unliveable! JMHO
Nanbert, Thank you for the comment. You're absolutely right. I understand that we are interested in all aspects of Adam's life but this is really indecent. If we look at Adam's Instagram, the post with the most likes and the most comments is where he shows up with his new relationship. Far ahead of his posts on his professional activities and his foundation. I am really disappointed with this attitude.
Adam is very happy with Oliver. He shared his happiness with his fans. We are happy for him! Yes, I do like such a post much more than many of his fake (= overly filtered pictures) or the ads for his projects. That doesn’t mean, I‘m not interested in his professional activities. But Instagram is about pictures. Adam could post a cute pictwith his dog and it would get more likes than most of his other posts. That’s how Instagram works.
And by the way: Adam met Oliver online almost a year ago. They have been in a relationship for 9 months. It’s more serious than most people have noticed. Which is a good thing! I‘m a Glambert. But a curious one, who‘s interested in Adam’s professional life and his love life. Just so you know: I do move on, if a relationship is over.
But for now, this relationship is still fresh. I‘m happy that they can make it happen and that Oliver will move to LA this summer.
Well I am a fan of Adam for his music, his personality in short for his person. I don't care who he's dating. This is his business. Can you imagine if I should also be a fan of his relationship with Sauli, Javi and I don't know who else? I am happy that he shares moments of his life with us but I admit being very embarrassed by the infatuation for his romantic relationships more than for himself and his music.
We all like what we like and are free to follow Adam’s private life or not. I for one would find it embarrassing, if Adam posted his first picture with Oliver and fans would ignore that. Or worse: Post negative comments. This hasn’t happened.
Most fans are happy. This doesn’t mean, that we’re stalking them in real life. I follow, what is publicly posted on the internet, nothing more and nothing less.
This is in no way an accusation or an offense against those who are interested in the life of Adam. I am interested myself and it is he himself who has published photos and videos. I liked these posts myself and I'm not saying you shouldn't be interested. I'm just amazed that it interests a lot more than its music and other activities. My comment was not an insult or offense to anyone. I just express my astonishment at the number of likes and comments on his romantic relationships more than for himself and his music.
It doesn‘t astonish me at all. A personal picture reaches the hearts and interests of people easier than a professional one (if it’s a gone). This doesn’t mean, that Adamfans aren’t interested in Adam‘s music or other projects. But Adam has all kinds of followers. Many are Queen fans. Or allies from the LGBTQ+ community. And so on. Not everyone is interested in every professional project. But they are all humans and when he posts great personal news, people tend to like that.
Eloci... above you wrote that you would be embarassed ....
"if Adam posted a picture with Oliver and fans would ignore that. Or worse: Post negative comments. This hasn't happened."....
How can you say that? Surely you must have seen all the "negative comments" that erupted about Oliver after Adam posted their photos together, such as numerous complaints about his unusually youthful appearance, wearing pearls, liking "bunnies", and other nonsense!
I was solely talking about comments directly under Adam’s Instagram post.
Of course there are always fans, who complain somewhere.
With over 1800 comments on Adam's post I don't want to read them but I hope it's positive. Even though I know not. People can be so fierce on social media, they allow themselves things they will never dare to say to their faces. Adam is used to it even if it's not pleasant, unjustified criticism is part of his job and he knows how to defend himself very well. I hope that his lover is strong and that he will know how to protect him.
Oh my, Betty C.....this is why I don't have Twitter or Instagram. Too many people indulging in their unfettered "opinions" and judgements because they are anonymous. I hope Adam and Oliver can build a strong shield around their relationship... supposed "fans" can be devious and cruel!
It's nice to see Adam happy and content now with Oliver...and wishing to share their happiness with his Glamberts. Just be happy for them... and enjoy NOW with them!
Adam often says he's an open book. However, he is the one who writes his story. He is kind to share moments of his life with us. He doesn't need anyone's approval to live his life. Anyone can have their opinion but the remarks on the physique and other assumptions are really very inappropriate.
Nanbert so where did you see all these negative comments about Oliver if you don’t use Twitter or Instagram ? Just asking x
Angeladam...why do you ask?
Just interested nothing else as most comments are via IG or Twitter I only use IG haven’t heard any negative comments (mind you I haven’t really bothered looking) ,
Nice to see some discussion here on this thread..
About Twitter & Instagram: I have accounts on both of them. With Twitter, I do follow quite a few accounts, both as an Adam fan and many other accounts: News, other fans, and a fairly wide range of other Twitter accounts. One of the things one can do with Twitter is this: I only follow Twitter accounts that are factual and tell the truth about whatever subject they are covering. I do not follow fan accounts that disparage Adam. Or for that matter, that insult his friends and boyfriends. I'm a big Adam fan, and enjoy seeing what some of his friends are up to: some are incredibly talented. I also don't follow accounts that lie about what's happening in the world etc.. I like Instagram, with the same general set of rules for myself. If someone is rude to Adam it's actually pretty rare, at least from true fans of his. There are certainly comments sometime on news articles etc.. that may be less than positive but those people don't really "know" Adam as a person or as a performer. The vast majority of his fans are positive and kind and supportive.
As I've mentioned elsewhere on this blog, I wish Adam and Oliver the best. I know enough about Oliver to know he's a smart and kind man. And as long as he and Adam respect each other and find love between the two of them, I'm happy for both of them. Beyond that, I respect their privacy and also appreciate whatever they feel they can share. I was totally "smitten" with Adam way back in 2009 and no doubt will continue to be.
