This is the Toys For Tots charity event. Oliver was there, too. It seemed really casual without a formal stage. Adam looked and sounded great, IMO. I like that brocade jacket. It looks very beautiful close up. Gotta say I like that pic of him with the other two guys. The cumberbund is a nice accessory. Kind of sleeks up the look. And then of course there's that bit of hair on the forehead but don't get me started. LOL

Agreed, Dee R Gee.... Adam has a great sense of style and color coordination....as nicely displayed in that outfit (coat/shirt/cumberbund). He also looks very handsome in that photo. It was great that he participated in that event.

Adam is in London doing the Lorraine show. And maybe other things, too, who knows? He is wearing a HUGE long quilted winter coat (Rick Owens) and is shopping with someone. Must be cold in London! The Lorraine show should be fun. He has done her show several times before, I think. She loves him.

Can't wait to see Adam on Lorraine.
Maybe the guy with him is security.

Adam is #16. Check it out. Honestly I like the current look better. There have been many hotter Adam looks in-between, but they're only comparing these two. Judging from my immediate reaction, I'm thinking I will be liking every change as they come along. He owns my celebrity heart no matter what.

No Adam on Lorraine yet. I guess they'll announce when he'll be on pretty soon. I wonder what he'll talk about or promote? Maybe something we haven't heard about yet?

Great news! Something to looks forward to. Hope he has some interesting news. I'm sure he'll talk about Starstruck, but maybe there's more he has to tell us.

Dee R Gee said...

Just saw pix. He's doing prom for Starstruck all around London. Can't say I love the bell-bottoms, but he's wearing a nice regular jacket and belted pants and looks pretty darn good to me.

BTW , the guy on Cover Bands who's doing Ozzie Osbourne looks and sounds just like Ozzie. Can't wait to see that episode.

Patria said...

Ha hah hah! I was loving the shirt, it's unique and looks good. Then I saw the bell bottoms and let out groan.

I'm really luvin' Cover Bands and will miss it so much. Think there are only 2 more episodes.
I wish I had a way to personally thank Gelly for making them available to me.

Patria said...

Okay guys, link from Gellys feed. Hope you all can see. Even the bell bottoms look better than the pic I originally saw.

Those bell-bottoms are Gucci so I guess that gives them from cred. Love that big old "G" emblazoned on his belt buckle. Not crazy about the pants, but I do like this slim jacket and the fact that his waist is exposed and looks quite good.

Starstruck is getting lots of promo. I hope it's a hit show and gives Adam some good media attention. The UK loves him.

My gosh, it happened again that all this week my “wifi and internet” both were not working for me. Since Adam made this surprise Charity event appearance I couldn’t comment anywhere on my social media sites! I tried to but no words and sometimes images weren’t coming out, just a blank page! Aaaargh! Today I’m here but I see my wifi is flickering right now again. Maybe from these storms and tornados etc., or interferences from neighbors? Thought I was going to miss Adam last Wednesday on Clash…Bands super windy (about 60 miles per hour winds and a tornado 20 minutes from my house), but I am safe and I didn’t lose power either so I did see Adam! Phew!

This morning I wanted to see any video of Adam from the Lorraine show but it’s not available in this country, boohoo. Also before my wifi and internet messed up I read on Twitter from another Glambert regarding Adam’s Fan Club site. The fan club site responded to her saying they are doing changes and aren’t accepting new members currently. I renewed back in September so I hope I’m still accepted, plus I had ordered earlier his calendar. They also said there will be surprises in the fan club site in the early part of 2022! 😍

My favorite part of Clash of the Cover Bands is when the band members express how much they appreciate the opportunity to work with the experts.

Did Brian May just message that he has COVID? Looks like he might.

Dee R Gee said...

Yes, he has it.

Patria said...

Sounds like it is behind him. Here's a quick find about him as of less than an hour ago.

https://variety.com/2021/music/news/queen-guitarist-brian-may-tests-positive-for-covid-1235137671/

Dee R Gee said...

Yes, I hope it's behind him now and that he is recovering well.

Patria said...

If this kind of thing has to happen I prefer to hear about it after it's resolved. I don't need more things to worry about.

Nanbert said...

Poor Brian! That information about COVID by him was a bit ambiguous....can't be sure whether he still has it/is pass the worst/is finally cleared of it. Thank goodness he seems to be doing well enough to write about it. My first mental image on reading this was Adam and Brian hugging on meeting on the red (blue?) carpet at the ITV ceremony...and wondering if Adam was exposed to Brian's COVID then!

BTW, that's the first time I've seen one of the COVID tests thing-a-ma-bobs. My first thought was... OMG, Brian's pregnant! Ha! Sorry!...My weird sense of humor is not improved by this long period of COVID isolation!

Also, the information on that Variety article seems partially incorrect, saying that Freddie, Brian and Roger "founded Queen", giving the impression that they all three started out together at the same time. But, my understanding is that Brian May, the originator, added singer Tim Staffell, and then added Roger Taylor to become an established band, named "SMILE". When Staffell left, Brian and Roger took on Freddie as pianist and lead singer. Then, soon after, at Freddie's urging, they changed the band's name to "Queen"....a somewhat different sequence of events than implied by Variety.

Interesting note...in my research, I discovered that one of Queen's songs, that I really LOVE watching Adam, Brian and Roger perform together at the end of the runway, "Doing Alright" was originally a "Smile" song! And it DOES always make me smile!

Dee R Gee said...

I love "Doing Alright" too. It's sweet and tender and lovely. Perfect for Adam's quiet yet powerful voice.

And thanks for the recap on the origins of Queen. So many bands morph their way to stardom. It can take a while for it all to come together perfectly.

Nanbert said...

I LOVE their harmonies....almost angelic at times!...and their evident affection for each other. They seem happy to be performing together....and makes me feel happy watching/hearing them! Each one is indispensable to the whole....like a three-legged stool! (Sorry, not a very glamorous analogy....but it's strong...and works perfectly!)

Nanbert said...

More trivia..... I learned about "Doin' Alright"....I read that Tim Staffell, the early "Smile" singer, who co-wrote the song with Brian, still receives some royalties from the sale of the Queen album that the song was later recorded in. I like that!

Dee R Gee said...

Well, Tim Staffell deserves every penny of the royalties he gets. It's a great song.

Posting the link to "have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas" was going to be my last post until after Christmas. ha ha I should have known it was wayyy to soon.

Merry Christmas Nanbert. And to all the Glamberts on this site. Also to the lurkers.

And stay safe. I'm worrying more about that than ever because I have one family member that insists covid vaccinations are not necessary. He cannot be avoided at family gatherings.

Dee, who won Clash of the Cover Bands?

Dee R Gee said...

Patria, I did watch the Cover Bands finale last night and I was pleased with who was chosen as the BIG WINNER. But I hesitate to disclose it because some markets (Canada, for ex.) doesn't see the show for another week. On another site I visit, someone revealed one of the weekly winners and some people were upset that it was revealed before they could see the show. I'm sure the winner has been announced on the news in a number of places in the media. If someone else wants to post it here, I'm ok with that. The winner was a very good choice!

Patria said...

The winner of the season is Karen Hestor paying tribute to Dolly Parton. It's now all over twitter including the whole show. I'm glad I didn't have to pick, so many, (not all) were really good. I'm hoping for a season 2. Fun show.

Dee R Gee said...

Thank you! I thought she did a fabulous Dolly Parton! There were others who were very good, too, and some who were just so-so, but I really enjoyed show. Hope it gets a second season.

Great video out there of Darren Criss and Adam in the studio recording the Man With The Bag. It's so fun to watch. Adam is such a lovely person to work with.

Saw on FB a couple fun "music coach" videos are out there, too, analyzing the vocals in the duet. Little Christmas gifts to enjoy!

Nanbert said...

Dee R Gee...tried to find the video (on Youtube) of Adam and Darren in the studio you described...no luck. Can you...or anyone...post it here for me? I'd love to see that.

I'll try to bring it here.

Hurray! Works for me, too! Thanks so much, Dee R Gee. That was such fun to watch...and they seemed to be enjoying themselves. Hardly seems like work.

Dee R Gee said...

Yeah! They work so well together. I wish they'd do more projects together.
