Never heard of "Barstool Sports". Doesn't sound like a musically inclined group...more like regulars at a Sports Bar. However, they seem to have fairly discerning taste....although Adam should have been No. 1! And, BTW, who WAS No. 1? Can't see him on the page.

It says "rankings....obtained from the ULL". What is the ULL?

University of Louisiana at Lafayette = ULL?

I saw this list elsewhere, too, and #1 is Elvis. I don't know what ULL is either, but these kinds of polls and rankings are just good fun, IMO. There's no particular criteria. It's just who the people who "voted" decided they liked. It's great to see Adam right up there with some great singers! It shows that no matter where you happen to be, people do know Adam Lambert and they appreciate his amazing talent!

Dee R Gee...I checked it out further, and discovered that this list may be more legit than I originally realized. It turns out that the ULL...University of Louisiana at Lafayette...is a national research institution, noted for very high research activity, and "the data" for the top ten list above from ULL is most likely quite legitimate.

NICE for Adam! I'm sorry I was somewhat misleading and dismissive of the list in my first remark above. It's the name "Barstool Sports" that tripped me up! But research is research!

Thanks, Nanbert! I was pretty dismissive of this thing at first, too. Sounded like guys in a bar drinking beer and swapping opinions. But from what you found, it seems like there's something to it. Always love it when Adam is grouped with very respectable company!

I don't care who's on a top singers list as long as Adam is there.

One notable that is missing is Freddie Mercury. The list defines them as "of all time". I suspect data collected in the UK would tell a different story. Also, this list includes pop singers...not classical. It also has to be confined to more recent times, when radio, movies, recording and TV made those voices "more accessible" to everyone, i.e. within everyone's common experience. Even so, I'm not even familiar with everyone on that list.

I wouldn't get too upset or too elated about this ranking. Whatever the source is or what the criteria are, these kinds of things are only the opinions of a handful of people. It's nice to see Adam on the list, but it really doesn't carry any weight in the big picture. I am more excited about his own projects that are coming up and how successful they will be. That's what counts to me.
