Few artists can articulate the meaning of songs with such flair and facility. It speaks to an intelligence that is responsible for his capacity to interpret songs as well, the emotional intelligence required to plumb the depths of anguish and pathos, and to create the riffs and palettes that make the songs he sings textured with the tenderness or the fierceness he imbues them with. I never thought singing could involve so much intelligence in its artistic expression until I was able to hear how Adam's wit and sensibilities imbued songs so that they became not just entertaining, but riveting, moving, touching. Adam's power in this regard is almost otherworldly.

Have you heard "Can't Let You Go" - I had to listen to it more than a few times before I could listen to it without, (initially sobing), crying, as it walked me through past pain of my own that I have not even thought of in many years. It is the most powerful song I have heard in many many years, if not ever. It, I am sure, would be difficult to translate to a live performance, but, if it can be done, I sure hope Adam includes it. Also, find a way we can buy it or at least download it here in the US. Please!!! Please!!! Please!!! It leaves absolutly no questions about Adam's range, execution and pure vocal ability. Unsurpassed!!!!!

Adam conveys so well all the raw emotions that emanate from the songs of his FYE album. Adam, we do FEEL the lyrics of each of your tracks because we know that you pour heart and soul in each one.

Broken Open is my favorite track on the album and I hope it gets released as a single so we can see a video for it.

can i just say to all Adam fans who spent their time Voting in the time 100 poll....it was such a FIX....SOME of the papers in the UK are saying Lady Gaga won IT?????? and no news reports from anywhere have mentioned Adam.......this is so wrong and why i will never ever trust the american press...its disgusting!!!!!!!!
we voters spent hours and hours voting and they cannot even mentioned Adam,s name
THIS IS WHAT WAS SAID
Lady Gaga and Ricky Gervais are among the celebrities who "most affect our world", according to a list published by Time magazine.
The eccentric pop star was called "an inspiration to other artists" in an appraisal written by singer Cyndi Lauper in the US publication.
Gervais made the list after hosting the Golden Globe awards and the success of his animated comedy show on US TV.
Oscar winner Sandra Bullock and Simon Cowell were also featured.
Saviour of pop
The X Factor and Britain's Got Talent judge was praised for having made "an indelible impression on global pop culture".
Also making the final cut of 25 was Twilight star Robert Pattinson, musicians Prince and Sir Elton John, as well as talk show host Oprah Winfrey.
She has made the list every year since it was initiated seven years ago.
Taylor Swift has scored a string of hit records
Kathryn Bigelow, the first woman to win the best director Oscar, made the cut, alongside fellow director James Cameron who she beat at the Academy Awards.
Grammy Award-winning pop star Taylor Swift was also on the list and one of the youngest artists.
Fleetwood Mac star Steve Nicks, writing in Time about the 20-year-old singer, said she was initially reluctant to perform with her at the Grammys due to their age difference.
"But her little face just lights up like a star, and I couldn't say no," she said.
"This girl writes the song that makes the whole world sing... It's women like her who are going to save the music business," added Nicks.
Time magazine's annual list of most influential people also had categories for leaders, heroes and thinkers.
IT IS SO UNFAIR ON ALL OF US!!!!!!!!!!!!!! and ADAM

Anony 10:47--beautifully written. With Adam, we are dealing with a man of high intellect. He demonstates that quality each and every day. His focus will be music and entertaining for many years, but I hope someday he will venture into other artistic (and yes, maybe political) endeavors.

Bec - Can't Let You Go hit me like a ton of bricks. My husband and soul mate died suddenly and I can't let him go. My heart, my arms my body want him back in my life. Adam's voice tears me apart in this so lyrically perfect song. I know where you are coming from and I know that I am not alone. Thanks :)

Adam has a beautiful mind (and yes, it's packaged in a beautiful wrapper). I could listen to him talk, pontificate, for days on end.

I hear you anonymous 11:26. I just love to hear Adam articulate what the songs on his album are about (or about anything for that matter).

I love his look here, too. He's the most beautiful human being, inside and out, I have ever seen.

I understand your frustration. I'm not sure if Lady Gaga has really affected ANYONE, even a little monster, as deeply and life-changingly as Adam has forever changed so many.

Adam is so generous. I hope he always stays that way, though.

I found this poem on the about how Adam affected one person. It's profound.

"World Full of Glitter", by Paula Jensen

For far too many years, I fought a kind of war
A conflict where my "soul" was what I was fighting for
A battle with self, with society, with "God"
ALL of which made me oblivious and a fraud
My world was empty, colorless, and flat
Most of the time, it was all just an act
Unknowingly believing in things that were told
I willfully accepted rules that were callous and cold
Call it conservatism, call it tradition or faith
Looking back, it only led to constant judgment and hate
I tried to be something that most people viewed as "right"
Happy in the light of day, yet suffering at night
I believed in it all, and tried to be faithful
Always feeling shame, if I found it questionable
Forcing myself to think that I had the "truth"
And if I would just follow it, my life would be smooth
I found happiness in thinking that I knew the "plan"
When all I really had were the creations of man
Living my life on the concept of fear
Believing that someday, harsh judgment was near
But deep within me, I knew something was wrong
I felt depressed, repressed, and far from strong
The questions began, and the change grew within
But during this time, I believed it was "sin"
So I hid from the world, never letting it show
Pretending to agree, so no one else would know
I lived with what I thought were standards and rules
Even though I knew, subconsciously, I was being a fool
Until a certain singer caused me to wonder
Why a nation would ridicule and bring forth a thunder
Over someone's bold choice to be his TRUE self
Not putting his differences high on a shelf
He had unquestionable talent that could not be denied
But when I voiced that I liked him, I seemed to be eyed
By those around me who would judge him a "sinner"
But I knew in my core he was only a winner
So I made a new vow ,and then made a stand
I would truthfully say what I thought of this man
He had the right to live as he believed and wanted
With this new understanding, I went forward undaunted
I opened my mind and truly let myself believe
That this world needed love without forced boundaries
Unconditional love that would include ALL voices
Regardless of their preferences, beliefs, or choices
So I left my religion, tradition, and faith
And with my husband behind me, we made our escape
Now this world isn't filled with what others call "litter"
I look at it today as a world full of GLITTER.
