Great Article on Adam Lambert's Successful Career!

Adam Lambert's single "Whataya Want From Me" reached platinum status in the U.S. yesterday with sales totaling 1,051,000. The song is charting in the top ten in seven countries and is #1 in Germany. Lambert's shared the
good news on twitter." "Great news ladies and g's: Whataya Want From Me has gone Platinum in the USA! Thank you so much for supporting me! I feel so fu**in lucky!"

Lambert's album "For Your Entertainment" is gold in the US, New Zealand and Singapore and double platinum in Canada. Lambert is currently in Europe experiencing an enthusiastic reception for the upcoming European release of his album "For Your Entertainment. Most would say that Adam has had a whirlwind of magazine covers, awards and accomplishments since the end of Season 8 of American Idol. Although Adam is not struggling as suggested by American Idol producer Ken Warwick Lambert's rise to superstardom is complicated because he is breaking all the rules and establishing his international success his way.

Adam defied those that dictate that an album must be genre specific. The conventional thinking is that in order to create an image for branding and marketing purposes, and so that DJ's know where to place you on their play list a recording artist must choose one particular genre and develop a fan base. Any change should only be considered after a few platinum albums and many successful years as an entertainer. Adam defied that rule.

Unlike other new artist Adam is a mature and seasoned professional singer who had a thirty million household laboratory in which to test the appeal of his multi genre vocal dexterity. Adam knew that he could convincingly belt out everything from "Brigadoon" to "Whole Lotta Love". Why should Adam be boxed in artistically when he has the vocal chops to compete in multiple musical genres? The coherence in Lambert's album is his voice; he is gifted with one of the most technically beautiful voices in the history of the music industry.

Adam defied the longstanding paradigm of concealing sensitive personal information until you are an established star. Gene Simmons suggested that Adam had ruined his career with his honesty. Adam is not only unfiltered
about his sexuality but has also exposed his past drug use and details of his experiences with women. Some PR experts would suggest that if an artist must make personal revelations they should wait until they are well established, as did Elton John who after selling millions of albums alluded to bisexuality but then transformed himself into a celebrated gay glam-rock icon.

Right out of the celebrity gate Lambert became involved in two scandals. First he was the victim of the American Idol voting outrage when Matt Jordan a rogue AT&T executive helped bring in 38 million Arkansas votes. Lambert was deprived of his victory and many perceived Lambert's loss as a mandate for the suppression of the LGBT community. Second, Adam" AMA performance triggered a stratospheric social media response that reverberated across the globe with mixed reactions. In the US Adam was no longer an American Idol but a naughty boy. Around the world Adam became interesting.

Adam's success has only just begun. He did not enter the recording industry and sell 8.3 millions albums like Susan Boyle because his success will take a different route. Even though Adam has broken all the rules he is an extraordinary entertainer. The emerging legend of Adam Lambert will spread and grow. Many have yet to grasp the depth and the magnitude of Adam's talent.

On American Idol no one was ever more versatile then Adam or took on such difficult covers. Who had the vocal chops to sing Michael Jackson, Mick Jigger, Freddie Mercury, Steven Tyler, Bono, Sam Cook, Smokey Robinson and Robert Plant? Adam, rather than copying them, belted out their songs with his own signature. When Adam sang on American Idol sometimes he was just so much better than anyone else and other times he was ungodly better than everyone else. Season 9 pales in comparison.

Now preparing for the Glam Nation Tour Lambert will be displaying another level of artistry. There may very well have never been a better live performer. You feel the static electricity the minute Lambert takes the stage. It is not just his otherworldly vocal gift it is his spellbinding presence. Lambert over six feet, fit, groomed and glammed is a strikingly handsome man.

Physically Lambert engages every element of his being in the interpretation of a lyric. He darts his eyes or thrusts and grinds his pelvis for added emphases, but every move refines the interpretation and there are
endless interpretations to anything he sings. Lambert is an old time storyteller constantly retuning his tale. Lambert is mesmerizing and addicting. If you see him perform live you need to see him again. The magic he creates on stage will be his ticket to becoming an iconic international success. Just like every great entertainer Adam Lambert will break all the rules and do it his way.

I absolutely love this woman!! She conveys everything the Adam Lambert fan wants the world to know. Kerry, once you have enough of these articles written, please anthologize them, and sell them as a book (the physical entity, not just a downloadable e-book). Trust me - it will be a bestseller!

Wow, thank you Kerry and 24/7! This another great article that Adam deserved to have! Right to the very facts of how Adam as of today!

I am HUGE fan of Adam and ALWAYS will be, but even I think that was rather OTT and was obviously not written by someone impartial.

"There may very well have never been a better live performer".

HOLY CRAP! Pressure, much?

Hah, Kerry Kolsch is a nutcase that gives other Adam Lambert fans a bad name. She needs a reality check, badly.

Thank you Kerry for a positive and honest article about Adam. Poor journalist resort to negativity, "misquotes", false facts and exaggeration to lure readers. It is a shame people who write sleazy articles can not learn from Adam and be open and HONEST. I am glad the world has the opportunity to enjoy the multi-talented Adam Lambert! He deserves all the adulation he is receiving. Again, thank you Kerry!

Terrific article! Adam will become an international star with his talent, charisma and great looks. His performances are electrifying and once he pulls you into his aura, you are addicted, mesmerized by what he can do vocally and visually. Adam made me "want to listen to music again" and gives me "fever" whenever I see him "strut" his stuff. We are witnessing an individual who is on the verge of rock super stardom and taking all of us along for one glittery ride!

I totally agree, there is being a fan and then there is just being an obsessive weirdo without a life. I think KK most definitely falls into the latter category.

Adam is way too cool for obsessive fandom, he wouldnt get it and i'm sure he just thinks she & her articles are a bit weird.

Why the need to call a passionate person, an obvious Adam fan, a nut case? I've seen Adam perform 5 times now and I will see him every chance I get. I sing live and am blown away with how he sings all his songs in a new way each time you see him. I can't tell you how hard that really is and 90%+ of vocal artists do not mix it up as he does. Did you catch how the Black Eyed Peas sucked on Idol and had to resort to using vocal enhancements. Adam needs none of that and is an absolute inspiration even when he goofs up which is not often. Yeah he's human!. It's nice for a change to have someone with a positive bias for a change. Adam inspires people in a feverish way like Elvis & Michael Jackson have and we haven't had that level of excitement in an artist (not going to count Bieber) in a long time. I'm along for the ride and hope it's a very long one!!!

Hi Kerry, thankyou for this reaaly lovely article on our beloved ADAM !!!

re time 100 poll
can i just say to all Adam fans who spent they time Voting in the time 100 poll....it was such a FIX....SOME of the papers in the UK are saying Lady Gaga won IT?????? and no news reports from anywhere have mentioned Adam.......this is so wrong and why i will never ever trust the american press...its disgusting!!!!!!!!
we voters spent hours and hours voting and they cannot even mentioned Adam,s name
THIS IS WHAT WAS SAID
Lady Gaga and Ricky Gervais are among the celebrities who "most affect our world", according to a list published by Time magazine.
The eccentric pop star was called "an inspiration to other artists" in an appraisal written by singer Cyndi Lauper in the US publication.
Gervais made the list after hosting the Golden Globe awards and the success of his animated comedy show on US TV.
Oscar winner Sandra Bullock and Simon Cowell were also featured.
Saviour of pop
The X Factor and Britain's Got Talent judge was praised for having made "an indelible impression on global pop culture".
Also making the final cut of 25 was Twilight star Robert Pattinson, musicians Prince and Sir Elton John, as well as talk show host Oprah Winfrey.
She has made the list every year since it was initiated seven years ago.
Taylor Swift has scored a string of hit records
Kathryn Bigelow, the first woman to win the best director Oscar, made the cut, alongside fellow director James Cameron who she beat at the Academy Awards.
Grammy Award-winning pop star Taylor Swift was also on the list and one of the youngest artists.
Fleetwood Mac star Steve Nicks, writing in Time about the 20-year-old singer, said she was initially reluctant to perform with her at the Grammys due to their age difference.
"But her little face just lights up like a star, and I couldn't say no," she said.
"This girl writes the song that makes the whole world sing... It's women like her who are going to save the music business," added Nicks.
Time magazine's annual list of most influential people also had categories for leaders, heroes and thinkers.
IT IS SO UNFAIR ON ALL OF US!!!!!!!!!!!!!! and ADAM

Taylor Swift save the music industry?????? Are you freaking kidding me????? this is outrageous! We need to start a petition and condemn this act, we all saw Adam finished @ #6 and his name needs to be amongst those mentioned on their website. Lets do it people. We can't just sit and watch while they rip off people like that. They did similar thing on Idol voting (season 8) and now this? I say ENOUGH is ENOUGH. And I hereby announce that as of today I'll cancel my TIme magazine subscription.

KERRY KOLSCH, thank you for the nice write up!
btw, i have read your E-line book "ADAM LAMBERT SECOND TO NONE", i felt good after reading it (it is full of facts).

Dear TIME magazine,
I am stunned and saddened to not see Adam Lambert on the list of top influential artists.I am trying to decide if this is just an incredibly incompetent oversight, or a deliberate boycott of one of the most phenomenal artists of our time. For weeks Adam Lambert was in the top 10 of the ENTIRE 100, and you're trying to have us believe he didn't get enough votes to even be MENTIONED?????? Give me a break. I thought we lived in an awesome country where our most talented could rise to stardom and the most influencial magazine in America would herald the rise. TIME Magazine is no longer top in my concept of our country's publications, and this travesty will be shared with hundreds of thousands of us who watched it happen. At parties, at concerts, in discussions of music, your magazine will be corralled into that group of stupid businesses, whose narrow-minded attempt to control America only resulted in making themselves look like old ladies clutching their pearls in fear of sexuality.

Anonymous said...

to anon above 1:07, well written, please send this letter to time magazine please. i will do the same. it was so upsetting, i can't believed they did not even mention adam's nomination as if he did not exist.

Anonymous said...

anon 6.23....what a nasty person you are from this remark it is clear to see you are not a true adam fan!! you have insulted alot of True adam fans by your remark!!!!!
how dare you shout at us fans that voted non stop for adam on the time poll...........please leave this wonderful adam lambert 24/7 site! we do not want your rude remarks!!!
why dont you spend your time writing to the times about the injustice towards adam,
you stupid piece of shit!!!

I am Kerry Kolsch. Although I am flattered that you post my articles, the proper way to do it is to post part of it and provide a link. Thanks for all the positive responses for those of you who gave them. For the record I am not an OTT fan. I do not twitter Adam, write fiction about him, write or speculate about his private life, and although I have seen him in concert and at the Highline Ballroom and plan to go to the Glam Tour I have never even tried to get his autograph. I just think he is a great entertainer. I did get real damn mad when I found out that he lost on American idol because of cheating. For those of you who do not know, I have written a book titled “Adam Lambert Second to None’. In that book I expose the events that occurred in Arkansas that changed the outcome of season 8. Those that chose to deny that the cheating took place would rather call me names than debate the facts even though my book provides pictures of the events including AT&T set up at Watch Parties and giving away phones. There were many other activities in Arkansas that created an unfair advantage for the top 13 contestants. My research is documented and supported with 40 pages of sources, photos, links to the local media and confirmed by marketing research experts. Rather than getting away with calling me crazy I challenge anyone to debate me on the facts or if you can’t successfully discredit the facts do yourself a favor and shut the hell up.

Since WHEN does America "ignore" Adam. He's at the front of entertainment news all the time, and his CD went gold here; his single platinum. Yeah, he didn't win Idol. Big deal. Taylor Hicks did, and where is HIS career? Singing Beauty School Dropout in a traveling Grease show. Move on from whatever preconceived notions any of you have about AI and its voting process. It's rather obvious who the real winner is from the public response to his music, AND Adam doesn't just have his music, but all kinds of other options in what promises to be a long career. What does KA have besides mediocre guitar skills, a lackluster voice, and covers of songs already done? Don't look back....Adam hasn't.

Before Adam went on his first overseas promotional tour, the people who came onto this site and left comments were all really warm-hearted, kind, respectful, and sincerely loving toward one another.

Then someone snarked about Emmaline, who used to write wonderfully articulate posts (especially for a young teenager), and now she never posts anymore.

Now there is so much unkindness, name-calling, nationalism, etc. that I almost cannot believe these are Adam fans.

What we love about Adam is his kindness, warm-heartedness, inner beauty, etc. (along with all the other things we adore about him).

Whoever all these new fans are, please either go back to what you were doing before you started coming on this site - or - emulate the man we adore so much and his positivity and Enlightened Beingness.

You're giving Adam a bad name, as well as all of us.

Dear Kerry Krolsch

Its nice to be a fan, but a bit sad to spend all your time researching and going ON and ON about who won a TV show. Why not spend your time campaigning for a charity? Or helping at your local animal shelter / old folks daycare centre / kids club etc.

That is what people like myself and some of the anons above are suggesting. Being a fan is one thing. Getting obssessed is just sad. And such a shame.

Adam's great. But he's not the messiah or something. He shouldnt be the only thing in your life. Thats the impression that a few OTT people who post on here give.

re anon 12.30 pm.......why bother to write this comment????????? surely any postive article on Adam should be admired and not lambasted!!!
i am sure Kerry has plenty of other things in her life,
Our love for Adam at times is out of our control,Adam has stolen our hearts and it is so hard not to think of Adam 24/7 hence this 24/7 site.it is harmless fun to have an Idol to cherish!! and it is VERY RARE to ever find one as Adorable as Adam..he has sweep all of us off our feet with his Fantastic Talent, stunning Voice,Charming Charisma and Adorable Looks. We all need to Dream at times,we live in a at times VILE world full of Hate,Money and Greed !!!!!!
What is so wrong to have a desire to Love a Wonderful Human Being as Beautiful as Adam,
I really feel you are being so mean with your comment to Kerry and all the Fans of Adam that have found Adam to be such an Important Person in their lives, you come across rather cruel,
I have four cats that i adore loving Adam has not taken away any of the love i give my beautiful felines,
i am wondering if you are a true adam fan yourself!!!!!!!! why be nasty it is so uncool!!!

Kerry Kolsch again, If Adam's win or loss was a shallow issue I would not have written a book about it. Many in America and the world for that matter believe that Adam was deprived of his win because of bigotry. I believe that thought sets society back and I know it is not true. Adam lost because one state cheated. The second is is that we were lied to by corporate America. How many people invested their time, money and emotions into voting for a contestant? Those people were cheated as well. I believe those are serious issues. I have always done pro bono legal work and my next book I am working on is called "Concepts of Liberty". I am an Adam fan but I have a full life. The book is an e-book now but will soon be out on Amazon.
