OK. OK. OK. OK. I didn't think Adam could top the Fantasy Springs WLL, but this one is AMAZING! I love how he laughs and smiles part way through. He knows he has both the men and women by the ..... :)

I'll be there tonight!!!!! Am so excited!!! Got a 'glitter tattoo' and my daughter's bringing lots of glitter make-up. We should be quite sparkly and will be up close to the stage -- after paying outrageous scalper prices, BUT worth every cent!

These videos are great! I really like WLL and I probably watched the Adam & Tommy Lick Clip 15 times.:)

I found a closer version of Fever from Suz526.

Yes, that WLL is awesome and is definitely right up there with Fantasy Springs, watched it earlier on youtube....Adam is so amazing with his ability to come out with a different version every single d*** time he performs that song...someday soon the whole world will get that....at least I hope so...

In the article from the North County Times (San Diego) one of his castmates from Wicked talks about the fact that every time Adam was able to sing the part of Fiero in the production, everyone just stopped dead in their tracks and listened to his amazing voice...and she said something else that I found interesting...She said the reason that Adam was not promoted to lead status, but remained an understudy and in the chorus, was that he could do more than one part perfectly and they needed him to remain there...which was in essence, one of the the reasons he became frustrated, went on Idol, and so we do have the powers that be at Wicked to thank for getting Adam to us... and thanking the Universe once again....

And happy the lick is back...

I was there last nite in the pit 5 rows back so could actually see him for the first time. Before always had lousy seats. So worth it to get up close. This will be short since have to get ready for tonites performance. Adam is beyond gorgeous! His voice was unbelievable! met so many hard core Adam fans and that was great. Allison was really bringing it to the stage but because she is an add=on, they started a half hour earlier than the tickets said so there were lots of empty seats. Too bad since she is such a rocker chick! I found Orianthis entire performance fabulous. She is such a great guitarist and every song is hard core rock n roll. I would go see her perform anyday! Her band members as well as Allisons are about 12 years ago but so cute and adorable! When adam left the stage after IIHY, the screaming, chanting, whistling went on for at least 5 minutes! fabulous! Adam then came back for WLL. "Beg, borrow or steal" to pay for tickets to see him and close up is sooo worth the scalper tickets IMO. I saw Leil a a couple rows back looking hot! Read tweets that Eber, Cheeks, Allison porter and other friends were there but I didnt see them. I cant tell you much about the band or dancers since it"s true what others have said. When Adam is on stage, you see no one else! I do remember seeing Tommys bright lipstick which I personally dont like - LOVE all the eye makeup but just not a fan of the lipstick and I'm talking about adam as well. One last comment for today is that I so seriously believe that Adam is not of this world! Continued tomorrow and hope I wasnt too long winded. Adamluv

Adamluv so glad you had a great time. It was my first time also in Sacramento (Lincoln-Thunder Valley) also.

Tommy tweeted asking everyone for a yay or nay about the lipstick and everyone was positive about it. I tweeted back that I was a nay but loved everything else about him...too much IMO. Thanks for sharing your thoughts about the concert!

Was at last nights concert. I was on the left side of stage 1st row of the circle section right behind the pit seats. I have been at that venue so my times but have never seen them let the pit people move out of their seats. They all crowded up against the stage. So the rest of us only saw Adam from the waist up. Out seats tonight are on the right side row B second 1. So we will get a better look tonight. I loved Allison and I could have done without Orianthi. My only complaint is that it was an hour between Oranthi and Adam. Way too long of a wait. There was also a 10 minute wait for the encore. People started to leave. And then we get no MW but a great WLL. Loved when he laughed and smiled. It was so devilish. Can't wait to see him tonight because who knows when I will see him again.

@Adamluv

Who can help but be "long-winded" when talking about Adam (I am constantly guilty of that...)....A few words can't possibly describe the feelings and I for one love hearing what you have to say....Thanks for sharing your experience, and I have to totally agree with your statement to "Beg, borrow, or steal" to get tickets to his show and I also agree that the price of "re-sale" tickets is worth the cost....at least once...to have the experience of seeing him really close...been there, done that..."Not of this world"...indeed...

I HAVE HEARD OF A GOOD TONGUE LICKING, BUT I DIDN"T THINK THAT WAS WHAT THEY MEANt, LOL

Anonymous said...

Adam's dad tweeted about the "sound problems" at last nights Costa Mesa gig. Said they needed to "kick the sound guy". Finally someone close to Adam notices and has put it out there that there are sound issues. I was at Warfield 1 and Thunder Valley. Both nights had sound issues...helium effect, to high of reverb on Adam's mic etc. I STILL HAD THE TIME OF MY LIFE, but it would be nice to get it fixed for the rest of the tour.

Just sayin'....

Anonymous said...

But so very strange ...have heard none of these sound issues on about 10 or more hours of watching all of last night's vids. Only beautiful off the charts vocals as always !!? And that is with very high quality ear buds that pick up every possible nuance or distortion.

HELP ME!! Somebody - HELP! I have been blinded!

Between the Adam/Tommy lick, and the over-the-top HOTness of WLL from this show, bruning hot molten lava poured out of my computer screen and seared my eyeballs! Damn you, again, Adam Lambert! Also think I've been electrocuted. I swear an electrical current ran right through the core of my body when I witnessed the fierce beauty and power of Adam in that WLL clip. Jesus. This man will be the death of me.

And what was I thinking, trying to watch these at work??? We're going out to dinner tonight, and I just couldn't wait. Taught me a lesson.

Ahem. Trying to compose myself now.

Yes - the sound issues! I heard them, in person, but have never noticed them while watching these video clips. So weird.

Adam sounded like he'd sucked a little helium when I saw him live. His voice was way more high pitched than I was expecting. He sounded like a boy. It was most noticeable to be when he was speaking. Really threw me off!

And Adamluv - SO glad you finally got to see His Royal Hotness LIVE!! Amazed you can speak so coherently today. Took me a few days to recover.

Thanks so much to everyone on this thread (and 24/7 generally, lol) for sharing - the links, the reports, everything! To Adamluv, I agree w/ glitzlady - loved hearing about your experience - you could have written 10 more paragraphs and I would have loved it all... write what you want, people can scroll on by if they become uninterested IMHO. And yes, glitzylady, hard to keep it short when talking about AL...I've held back a little bit in the past few days commenting because I find it so hard to be concise, LOL (and have been busy too, but I'm always lurking :)). Have so many thougts...but anyway, thanks to everyone for sharing!!!!!
MassGlamFan

ps. Adamluv - your talk about it being so worth it to get close is really having an impact on me...damn - I might check out stubhub...my husband will KILL me, but "Death by Adam" might be worth it :).

Hey Adam Fix - we were just posting at the same time, ha ha, just wanted to drop back in and say I LOVED your comment at 1:18pm!!!!

MassGlamFan

ps. Saw a lot of talk on MJ's about the "helium" thing...and something about hi-end earplugs used in the industry and that they help, IDK?????, just throwin' that out there

Janet said...

I never hear it in the videos but I sure heard the "helium effect" in Portland live when Adam talked. Regardless, the singing was perfection.

Anonymous said...

Same problem with helium sound effect in Charlotte !He sounds magnificent in the videos and like it should sound. When you see him live it's electric, but you know there is a technical distortion. It was very evident when he spoke, almost an Alvin and the Chipmunk quality that you knew was off.I hope they will finally fix it,especially for those seeing him live for the first time. It's a diservice to him, since his voice is so pitch perfect and rich. The air is electric and you will be transported to another universe. Your heart will beat faster and you have to remember to breathe. To see him live is a thrill of a lifetime. I also tweeted nay about Tommy's lipstick. Think it's too much with the eye makeup. Prefer light gloss on men and limits kisses with Adam.[would get all over himand mess up Adam's makeup. haha] Loved the soundchecks! WLL,"need to get laid" too funny and probably true, but not for lack of willing partners! funbunn40

Don't have any problem with the lipstick other than the fact that, yes, it may be an impediment to a nice yummy kiss :)... any boy or girl who has worn makeup even a few times knows what a mess a good kiss can cause on a full mouth of juicy lipstick...

...oh dear, and know I'm thinking of AL smearing his black lipstick at the Ryan Seacrest Rock My
Town concert at the Highline Ballroom last Feb during WLL... a concert during which he frickin' burned the joint down... oh damn, that lipstick smearing - still, to me, one of the sexiest AL moments ever... sh*t, all hot and bothered now... to quote Adam Fix - Damn You Adam Lambert.

omg that licking vid is unbelievably sexy!!!

Anonymous said...

2:16 and others who mentioned the voice distortion causing Adam to sound like Alvin the Chipmunk or Donald Duck. I heard it at the Idol concert in Dallas and again in the Denver concert. I know it isn't Adam as his accoustic numbers are perfect. It's the dam* sound engineers who are overpowering the base.

Adam must be aware of this issue/problem, right?? His dad heard this crap. Why don't they fix it? I'm assuming they use local sound people, or do they travel with them on the tour? I have no idea, but it's a major flaw that needs fixing. How does this get communicated?

Anything that distorts that beautiful voice makes me angry. Our friends who have been to other concerts noticed it as well. And ideas out there???

I've been lurking and adoring the videos and comments. I'm going to see the boys (and girl) in 10 days! After checking out stub-hub (and yes, my husband will kill me, too), I FINALLY decided on 2nd row tickets over the pit. I was just afraid the band would be up above my head or there'd be shoving. D'you think I made the right choice?

Anonymous said...

Another nay for the lipstick on Tommy - prefer the gloss. Love everything else.
And yes, think Adam needs to get laid! He is getting
more squirell-y with each performance haha
He would have to be pretty careful and selective tho..
I would of course be available - just offering..

There were a couple of songs in Seattle that sounded like chipmunks too, but I chose to enjoy the view. Funny, it was only a couple of songs, the rest we fine. What's up with that. I was mesmerized by him on stage. I know there were dancers up there, but I honestly never saw them. Only eyes for Adam. I was riveted, chipmunk voice or not. Waiting for my next go round in Puyallup, WA in September. Wish I could go to them all! This WLL --- W.O.W.!

Anonymous said...

In Thunder Valley I think it was only one or two songs that had the high pitch...the rest were fine. I also did the stubhub thing, but then needed to turn around and resell my GA tickets, but was able to sell them at a profit which made my row 5 $206 tickets only about $165. It was keeping me up at night thinking that I would have to stand in 102 degree weather to get the best spots in GA...NOT an option! SOOO happy I made the investment and now will never get GA if I don't have to. One thing to think about, there were quite a few people with earplugs in the very front rows around me and others were commenting on how they thought that was a good idea...just a thought. I don't know how I really feel about that though I really had problems hearing for about a day or so. What do you guys think about earplugs?

I think and hope Eber's tweet to Adam brings the problem of chipmunk sound to focus. Those of us on twitter could tweet Adam about the problem and he might get the message if he happens upon one of our tweets. I'll bet we aren't the only ones telling him though. I agree with other comments about it being fine on the vid feeds though...strange is right.

Has anyone else wondered why the lipstick? The thought crossed my mind that maybe Tommy might be using it as a barrier to the kisses???

Anonymous said...

@ 7:44, I definitely think you made the right choice!Just to see that expressive face and all of his glammy parts up that close will send you over the edge!If your hubby kills you, just make sure it's after the concert and you will go happy. Beans and brown rice is healthy and cheap. Take it out of the grocery $ and skip a few manicures and if hubby reaps the reward of the concert when you get home, he'll be fine! You on the other hand will never be the same. Your DNA will be reduced to glitter and you will forever radiate with a sparkely glow!! funbunn40

I agree w/ Adam Fix funnbunne40 - nicely said... damn, I just don't think I want to make the hubbster ticked off - he's a good guy... well, maybe I should just cross my fingers about my Cohasset tix - that venue is VERY small overall - don't have great seats but venue is fairly intimate overall and maybe I can see the glammy parts pretty well just because of that! (Speaking of seeing AL up close - had the funniest dream about meeting AL last night - will tell sometime).

@Pat July 28 11:40AM - thanks for your post.

@7:44 - lucky you - have fun!

oh and Adam Fix - about your 3:22pm comments - glad to know that I'm not the only one "obsessed" with that performance, and that lipstick incident. And what was so smokin' hot to me about it is that the smeared lipstick AND the smeared and runny EYE MAKE-UP is, um... something that happens when...um... a certain activity occurs, and somewhere down deep inside (no pun intended :)) I think that is totally what AL was giving a nod to when he smeared his eye makeup and lipstick like he did - that was always my feeling, and that was a main reason why I found it so sexy... that was my visceral reaction anyway, when watching the vid the first time, and many subsequent times, lol... probably reading too much into it, I know I know, but that was my take... anyway, a smokin' hot night that was for AL at the Highline Ballroom!

Oh poop, just lost my post. What I said was: MassGlamFan, that is a very sound theory. Hafta go back and check the pics. Can't think about it too long, tho' or I get.....kinda.....hot....

And for those of ya who said I made the right choice (row 2 over pit), thanks. And I already had to make a sort of "exhange" or "promise" to get the husband to go to the concert. (Of course, he'll come out a fan.) As someone said, maybe right after the show would be a good time to pay up.

Okay, back to check out those pics....
