Here is what it said on the Oh My Rock God website (his Dad has cancer but don't know how long they have known about it):


"During LP's ustream currently on and back off and on all night; he informed us that Tommy's father is very ill and Tommy has left to go to be with his father and it's looking not good per LP; Tommy WILL NOT be at tonight's show in Portland; so please send love and light to Tommy and his family via twitter, facebook, etc - ALSO, look for a donation to start from LP on twitter/facebook for donations for a drum he's signing and the rest of the band/crew to donate money for the oil spill and crisis in gulf. Also, tweet @joancmurray (LP's finance) and tell her how much LP loves her and can't wait to marry her - those were his words!

In fact, don't hate me even more, cuz I have to say that there are a few GREAT "reviews" on last night's concert over there... and a tip to be on the lookout, in the vids that show up, for some great body roll demonstrations from AL himself, cuz apparently he wasn't happy w/ his dancing w/ Brooke, so he went more font and center stage and did a demo???...OMG :!)) Anyway, someone on MJ's said something about Tommy hoping to be back on GNT by the San Francisco show... OBVIOUSLY, this is just a little blurb from a blog, no real credibility whatsoever, that goes without saying, but thought I'd throw it out there w/ a disclaimer.

Our prayers and thoughts go to Tommy and his family. I am sure he will be back as soon as he is able. The pic by the way, was taken when the crew went over seas, and Tommy wasn't able to go to one of the countries, because of something to do with his passport.That pic is very touching showing how much love Adam has for his friends.

If Tommy's Dad has cancer, didn't he know his Dad might become very ill before he went on tour with Adam? Did the tour managers not have a back-up plan? Did they not anticipate this?
I wonder if that is the entire reason Tommy left?

Will keep Tommy's dad, Tommy & the entire family in my nightly prayers. I wonder if this condition was kept from Tommy so as not to upset his going on the tour & maybe Tommy just found out about it because his dad got sicker. I don't tell my children EVERYTHING about my health. Just when it becomes NECESSARY! Anyway ... GOD Bless the Ratliff family & give them strength!! AMEN!

It is possible that Tommy found out after the tour had already started. So even if Tommy knew his father could get very sick I'm sure it wouldn't change how upset he would be. Either way Tommy would still choose to leave because family comes first.

@ 9:47, As someone whose own Dad passed away from cancer, I can tell you there a lot of variables. My dad died 11 months after being diagnosed after chemo and radiation. You live on faith and hope all during that time. My husband also at that time had brain surgery for a tumor. Family still has to take care of all obligations but always put loved ones first. I assume Tommy was aware and also had faith and hope. He also is surrounded by loving, understanding glamily that also most likely knew. There is a backup plan for emergencies. Monte will pick up the slack as Tommy did for him when his twins were born. There is no contest as to what is more important, family or a concert and I think as caring fans we all support Tommy, will miss him at any missed concert, but have to think of him first and foremost as I'm sure Adam and glamily are doing. I'm glad that he is surrounded by Adam and all to give him strength and comfort. The picture above says it all, so loving and touching. Tommy will be back and we will be glad and very happy to see him. He's not going anywhere else and he needs this time. funbunn40

Very sorry to hear of Tommy's Dad's serious illness...my thoughts and prayers are going out to him and his family....His family is the most important thing right now and hopefully he is spending time with his Dad, no matter what the outcome may be....

and to MGF, gosh the more you can learn about Adam's goings and doings, the better....I have another website that I frequent as well, its okay...

Your dad has to be so proud of who you are, and what talents you have. May God take you into his open arms and give you all peace and strength.

Thank you MassGlamFan and funbun40! I appreciate that. Funbun, you know from personal experience how one can be diagnosed and told they only have a short time left. Many years ago I had an uncle that died after experiencing what he thought and was told was a prolonged flu. Finally they checked him out -found cancer and started him on chemo right away. He passed away 2 weeks later. Tommy needs to be with his family.

I will be at Thunder Valley which is in-between the 2 concerts in SF. I can't wait! Anyone else here going?

I am sending all my love tonight to Tommy and his family. I just hope they all (Adam, band, dancers, and crew) know how much joy they are bringing the world. I have never seen anything like it. My husband went through a horrible battle with this monster cancer. Although he worried more about me than himself, he suffered terribly. The show has a magical effect on people because they GIVE love when they perform.Unconditional,accepting,pure. I went on after his death as we have to, but trying to figure out my meaning in this world just seemed somehow out of reach.Doubts,regrets,( why was THAT important??) what could I have done differently? Nothing, nothing would have changed the inevitable. I have been drowning in my own thoughts. The show I saw was a turning point for me. I felt the love and hope for us all. Now it is time for us to give some back. If you pray, pray for these entertainers who give us their souls every night. If you don't pray treat someone that you meet with kindness. This world is ripe for a movement of love and understanding. I saw elderly people, children and a lot of folks in between absolutely enchanted with this show. I am a total fan. Thanks Adam and co. Maybe the picture is from the day he found out his father has cancer. This is not just a hug hug, it's an "I'm so sorry" hug. Look at the serious look on Longineu's face.

All the love and prayers out to Tommy and his family. Tommy has brought alot to the Glamily and I consider him family. A few nights ago I was watching a video of him a fan put on this web site that zoomed primarily on Tommy and he looked so sad and it hit me that something was wrong. I know they perform in very hot venues at times and thought he might not being feeling well. He never once looked up. I am sure Adam and the rest are just 100% supportive of Tommy and will welcome him back when the time is right for him. This is when all the positive energy Adam speaks of works wonders. Let's ban together and do that for Tommy by sending him our well wishes for his Father tonight. You are so loved Tommy you too have a fan base of love!

We all know how important Tommy is the the Glamily Band...Adam so wanted Tommy in his band that he Changed from Lead Guitar to Bass Guitar on Adam's request.....sadly The Glam nation will not be the same without Tommy...but saying that Adam will as always put on a great show for you Lucky Glamberts....
