I retract a previous comment, that kiss is still a turn on :P

Two things that make me wish I was a gay man --> gay pride parades, and Adam Lambert :P

Anonymous said...

He should have performed at Gay Pride week in Montreal instead of Saint-Jean-Sur-Richelieu (it was this week, parade is on Sunday so it wouldn't have been a stretch at all!!)

Warning: for those who don't want to see da kiss on Fever... skip to 29 sec... hahahah

OMG! it's Suz526 again, very much appreciated... hugsx50 :))

Adam! you're sooooooo amazing!... in case you haven't heard it yet... like gazillion times... make it gazillion & one! :)))

crmhaske...I think Adam's management don't allow him to perform on gay prides..but yeah, I agree with you, the kiss with Tommy is such a turn on. I never understood slash until I found Adam.

Well ... it could have been down the street instead of 40mins away :P

The Musifest rocked. The show was great and the people in Pa. are alot of fun. Will def. come back next year if Adam is there. Here's to you Pa. friends.Hope to see you guys next year.I am from Ohio.

I was there 6th role. It's my first time seeing Adam in flesh, and breathing the same air as he was. It felt surreal. He gave it all. Unbelievable singing. He's got glitters on his arms. You guys probably knew long time ago. But I never saw. It was so cute. Met a pair of twin sister fans. Got very jealous over their signed picture book. Brought my Japanese Rolling Stone magazine, but it left the venue the way it went in unfortunately. The night is still sinking in. I'm so excited that I cannot sleep. This is my favorite site for Adam news. Coming here in hope to calm down. Gee, what has this guy done to me...

No problem with the kiss! Fine foe GNT , wouldn't do it on tv.[Don't think we're there yet, but making some progress with the double standard. Tommy looked adorable. No lipstick makes better kisses! Love Glitterbaby! Adam got a haircut and I love it. Nice that he changes it up. Love this look and love all of his looks! Thud! @0th Century Boy rocked. Like it better each time. Adam can do no wrong. He really knows what he's doing. Haven't seen Neil anywhere lately. These videos just make me want to get up and dance! funbunn40

Well, we all understand...Adam has that effect of turning usually clear minds to mush...happens to me on a regular basis....and I don't care what anybody says, still liking the kiss....20th Century Boy is my new favorite song (along with all of the others...) And agree, loving the hair.

This is a random post from a mother of two Adam fans. (I'm not familiar with Adam.)

My two daughters are going on the 19th and I was wondering if there's going to be anything I should let them know beforehand?
Should I be concern about anything in particular? Is this a hardcore concert?

Thanks in advance for any advice!

Love the haircut, new jewelry too, the rose colored pendant much softer then the chains. So glad that he is able to stay inspired and fresh ALWAYS!!!
He is from another planet though with those looks, moves and the talent!

INTERESTING, HE SAID TOMMY IS NOT GAY, THEY LIKE TO TURN ON THE FANS LOL, HOW FUNNY, PLUS HE GOT IN TROUBLE AT THE AMA'S, BUT GOT GREAT PLUBLISITY, AND DEFINITLY PUT ADAM LAMBERT ON THE MAP, WE ALL LOVE HIM, SO MUCH, AND I KNOW HE MUST BE TIRED OF WWL & MW, BUT WILL HIS CONCERTS BE THE SAME? EVEN THOUGH THE NEW SONG IS GOOD, WISH HE WOULD SING IS ANYONE LISTENING, GREAT SONG! THANK YOU 24/7 FOR GOING TO THIS DARKER COLOR, AND FOR ALWAYS POSTIIIING THINGS SO SOON, AFTER HAPPENING, YOU HAVE SOMEONE 24/7 FOLLOWING HIM!

Anonymous said...

OMG... as sexy as always. Thanks 24/7 and Suz526 so much. I really really love his hair down like this. So hot and cute at the same time.

This is off topic but has anyone read the post by Adam LARNBERT on twitter...i think i pissed my pants reading the first last few days of this account on twitter..though AL bro isn't impressed by this person..should check it out before twitter gets complaints of this guy being another AL poser and delets the account. btw not everyone will find this twitter poser hilarious but for those who do ..cheers.

Is anyone going to respond to the mother who is concerned about her daughters attending? I haven't been to a GT concert yet. I'm just going to say that what she saw here is as " hardcore" as it gets.

Anonymous said...

The mother from above, if you look at all of the videos posted here in this link you will see exactly what goes on. Adam might swear a couple of times and he might kiss Tommy, his bass guitarist but just because the fans love it...nothing going on between them. That is pretty much it in a nutshell. It is a great show and one that will never be forgotten due to his amazing vocals and showmanship. I am a mother of 2 teenage boys so I get your concern.

Mother of two. I have been to 3 shows. Your daughters and you will love it ! The kiss if he does is just part of the act and you won't even think different because it fits in with his show and the theatrics.
At first I didn't want him to do it because of the AMA backlash and I didn't want to see him get hurt again, or hurt his career . But IT FITS ! It is TASTEFUL !
On another note my husband kisses his brothers smack on the lips and hugs them of course it is NOT sexual at all. But we except that as a society.

Anonymous said...

Oh and I should have added to the last post his one brother is GAY!

Anonymous said...

To the Mom who's concerned. Not to worry...Nothing really earth shaking at the concert. The kiss is really for entertaiment purposed only. I saw the show and I thought the vocals, music, band and dancers trump everything. Try to be opened minded about a performance. I saw Chicago in New York City and it was 50 times more riska then anything Adam has ever done or will ever do. Explain to your kids it is just an act and just for fun and enterainment. Just enjoy the concert and have fun.

Anonymous said...

Mother of two. Don't worry about your daughters. Worry about yourself becoming a Glambert !
As I sit here getting my morning fix of Adam.
LOL

May be someone can answer my question, I get so many pauses during video that Adam can't get a full word out. It makes it impossible to watch. Is it something to do with my computer, are you all getting a whole lot of pauses too? There has to be some, but not as many as I get. A 3 minute song takes about 20 minutes, very frustrating.

I still think Sleepwalker would make a great single for Europe. I like the mysticism in it. Before I didn't care about the gothic look on guys, but now I like it, if I see guys wearing long coats in broad daylight. Gothic guys usually have long hair, but I like Adams hair style more.

Anonymous said...

Oh and I love Tommys sweater.

Anonymous said...

Ah! A bolder kiss and a parent asks if his concerts are hardcore. Ok, I have slept on this now and here is what I have come up with.

Change has come to America.

A few days ago according to a major pollster, the majority of Americans support gay marriage for the first time!

Prop 8 has been overturned.

Glitzylady points out that no one in the press here has really made a fuss about the licks, kisses etc. with the Fever interpretation….the audience loves it.

Adam is going to make another album.

Adam seems to bring joy wherever he entertains. Kissing a friend is not hardcore…it is fun and friendly.

Part of the quote below has been coming up on 24/7. When I first saw it I thought ,”Where have I seen that quote recently?” Then I remembered. I went with my husband to his high school reunion. There was a hallway where students had been allowed to write sayings that meant a lot to them. This quote was there, in a high school hallway in a rural town in Montana…but I think it was there for those of us who were a little worried about those kisses. Here is the whole quote:

Be Who You Are and Say What You Feel Because
Those Who Mind Don't Matter
and Those Who Matter Don't Mind.”
-- Dr. Seuss

Oh, and I have been asked to be on the Board of the local PFLAG chapter :)
Now I am going to listen to Adam sing Sam Cooke’s “ A Change is Gonna Come”again.
Life is good. lmb

I don't want to direct hits to that site, but there are some responses/analyses from the (older?)fans that you might be interesting to read. I’d welcome some of those fans to post on this blog too. There've been some bad vibes here recently.. It would be nice to lift the spirits up... well, at least my spirit if yours are ok. :)

Welcome to all the newcomers (or those) who chose to use a tag. It's easier to give feedback using tag names.. it seems we like to develop some 'conversations' in here :)). You still can be negative, disagree with or make fun of the rest of us -the tags :).

I do want to thank the administrators of this blog for their commitment to please us all. It's impossible, we realize that, but you’re doing your best. I, for one, appreciate it!

AND I'd like to give a shout-out to the usual glam-suspects, the regular ladies (and boys) of ‘the house'. I'm using the blog’s search feature trying to know you better from your previous comments. I'd like to say that, even sometimes your (ladies') glam-induced deliriums scare the hell out of me :)), I believe you are very intelligent and loving creatures :) and I love the support you give each other. Please keep posting here. You’re the main reason I'm coming back (as I usually get most of the information before 24/7 posts it up here )!

GLb

PS: I've decided to add ‘the bug' to my initials. I saw that 'glitzylady' was previously referred to as GL, so.. For the heck of it !.. And I kind of like the other meanings of the acronym.. However, it’s lowercase ‘b’.. :)

Oh, and we do like long posts, don't we? I'm telling you, we do conversations.. and monologues, not just 'posting'! :)

To Anon at 8:08....What your computer is doing is called "buffering". This can be caused by a few things: 1. Your internet speed is too low (I have Comcast, 20mb per second and I never have buffering issues). 2. I could be that the internet as a whole is bogged down by so many users, or 3. Too many people trying to queue that same video at once. My guess is #1...you need to upgrade your internet package from your provider to give you much greater speed.
Hope this helps you out.

I love Adam's hair and Tommy's sweater!

To the Mom of 2: Adam's concerts are joyful and uplifting - a
very positive experience (unlike most rock concerts, it is
very tame..) The audience feels energized by Adam's cheerful
presence and the fun of the band and dancers.

@lmb 9:01 a.m.

Indeed "Life is Good"...I really appreciate the things you have pointed out...and thanks for giving us the full context of the Dr. Suess quote..."Be Who You Are and Say What You Feel...."...My husband and I were literally just discussing (while reading the newspaper) the fact that we often hear the loud and bigoted and uninformed comments so often showcased in the media, and attempts by the voices of reason to counter those attitudes are often dismissed by those same people as un-American or immoral. So the GOOD things that are happening here in this country give me hope for the future for the basic human rights of all. This simple little quote underlines the need to let your voice be heard, even if not everyone agrees with you. Maybe this is why so many of us are SO fiercely protective and supportive of Adam's career and of him personally..Not only do I love his singing and performance skills, his wonderful personally, his good heart and generosity, (and he IS one sexy dude...can't help but notice that..), and the absolute joy that we feel when he is entertaining us, his rise to fame (and notoriety) has given me the courage to publicly be more outspoken about gay rights, gay marriage, and to not back down...I've always supported that but Adam has given me a better focus, and I do not let any gay slurs get past me anymore..period. And as to the Adam and Tommy kiss (not to prolong that discussion...) the bottom line is that if Adam were not a gay man, no one would care...if two straight men kissed, everyone would pretty much nervously laugh it off, just like when people like Madonna and Brittney kissed...and the main reason that no one got upset about Katy Perry's "I kissed a girl and I liked it" song is because she is also straight and they pretty much took it as a joke....all in fun...but when Adam kisses Tommy...or vice versa...OMG! Although, as @lmb quoted my earlier observation, none of the concert reviews that I have read really took much notice of the kiss at all, so hopefully we can get past that and concentrate on more important things...And I have an 11 year old family member who will be attending Adam's concert in Sept.at our state fair in Puyallup (very LARGE venue) along with other friends and family and I have no qualms at all...Congrats to @lmb to being asked to be on the board of PFLAG...Hope to meet you one of these days....

Anonymous said...

Well said GlitzLady!

I too am attending Puyallup. Just decided to drive up from California to catch him in his last GNT concert (at least in the continental US). Wanted to be present, because he will never do Glamnation Tour again. Next tour will support the new album. Went to two concerts in the middle of this tour, wanted to go to the last one as a sort of homage to my new adventurous spirit Adam has brought out in me.

Thanks Adam, for everything.

Anonymous said...

Patrice, thanks so much for the response re: buffering. I too have that problem as does the anon. person! Adamluv

i came across that quote ..."Be Who You Are and Say What You Feel...." a few months back. i liked it so much that i posted it on a previous thread ( you know the ones that get out of hand ) and i remember Fan4Fun really liking it also...

loving the new song 20thCB..and loving the hair,Adam is looking mighty fine...i am rather sad though at the fact that WLL has been shelved for the moment..but at least we have plenty fabulous versions to keep us all happy...

i wonder what happened to broken open....not seen that in a long time either!!

Men don't like to see men kissing like womens don't like to see womens doing this unless you are bisexual, lesbian or gay for this reason is so dificult lately to show my boyfriend a complete show of AL GNT and convert him in a fan, I shouldn't skip the video of fever if the show is for everyone so make this for EVERYBODY, maybe for this 95% of the audience are womens almost no straight men.
I think if he wants to be in this business for a long time, this include to gain more male fans, he should focus only in his talent as a musician and performer it is the most important thing

Anonymous said...

I've liked Fever from the beginning, but I think it isn't as much of a pop song as IIHY. Fever is a little bit old fashioned, almost variety type of music.

Anonymous said...

glitzylady and Anon.11:19 We should try to meet in Puyallup. That would be fun. Let's plan it as it gets closer to the time.
Also,I wanted a lot of you to know that your wonderful posts after I wrote about my son coming out have been saved by me. I am putting them in a journal for my son to read later. My husband read them with me and we both had tears in our eyes. YOu guys rock. lmb

I'm the one driving up from Cali. I'll be visiting in Vacouver, WA a couple days prior to the show. You can email me your contact info if you choose: swedetobeat@yahoo.com You too Glitzlady! I think it would be fun to meet other Adam fans. Where I live, I'm basically alone in my adoration of Mr. Lambert.

P.S. lmb...My son is straight, but a close high-school friend of his felt safe enough to come out to my son just the other night. My son just hugged him and said that's awesome man. I thank god every day that I raised my son to be an extremely loving, compassionate and accepting human being.

glitzylady said...

@imb and Patrice....sounds good to me...will get back to you...life intrudes...LOL!!! Will email you and we'll go from there...

Patrice

I will be contacting you! Also, bless you for raising your son right! Adam was in the closet for 6 years (12-18) My son tells me he began to think he was gay around 15. So that makes about 6 years for him too. That is 6 years too long, but shows how difficult this journey is because these kids came from the open, compassionate families. Now we know why some don't survive.
On a lighter note, can't wait for the Puyallup Fair. We go every year and so far what has been memorable for me are the great caramel apples. Obviously that will change this year. lol

Anonymous said...

@ Patrice, Thanks for video info. Mine skips at times also. Most important, your son is a great kid, thanks to your parenting. Nice to hear. Congrats to lmb and for what you do. I think we all are becoming better people from being on this site. Those of us that don't have gay family members are getting a more informed and personal view that is touching and real. It also reminds us to stand up when faced with anyone being maligned or hurt in any way. Adam's life affects us in a very positive way. funbunn40

Anonymous said...

Adam is so humble and yet proud about who is he and what he stands for - that he may never fully realize the impact he has on Americans and people across the world.

Being "gay" is NOT a choice. So sad that we still have such bigotry - but Adam is knocking down walls and opening up people's minds through his music. He professes love, acceptance and understanding and honesty.

So - I say Adam for PRESIDENT!! LOL!! He could single handedly ROCK our COUNTRY while teaching INTEGRITY 101 to the folks in government!

I would pay good money to see that!!

This kiss FYE cost Adam a lots of problems after AMA. Even if Adam is saing that he doesn't have any regrets, this story still appeares in Adam interview and articles about Adam.
Some of us have fun some of us don't but we love Adam. However, this kiss story still in the air and cost Adam Teen Choice award and MTV didn't give him any nominations. Don't forget, AMA gonna be soon! Will Adam nominated for AMA?

I did notice that Kanye West will be performing at the MTV Video Awards Show so guess they have "forgiven" him for the Taylor Swift incident last year. Will the AMAS do the same with Adam? Adamluv

Anonymous said...

Adam has unique voice. And this kiss just the reason to snub Adam from awards. He is one of best singer in the world now. Yes, our feelings will hurt many times when Adam will ignore by MTV, AMA, etc. But even now Adam has a lot of fans on the whole world. I don't think his fans in Japan or Canada care about Adam nominations and awards. Remember, Freddie Mercury didn't get a lot of awards during his life. Does anybody care about this now?

Ok, i went back to the Musikfest blog and read what they had to say about last nights concert in Bethlehem, PA.
First of all, this was my 4th tour concert and as always, it was amazing! Adam was in perfect form and did ad lib with the audience. I don't think he sounded scripted but you have to realize he's been touring for a few months now and is probably getting very tired and how many ways can you say: Welcome Bethlehem"??

I do agree that his set-up time is long. The last concert that i went to at Foxwoods Casino had a break of about 45 minutes but last night it was an hour between Orinathi and Adam...which is w*a*y too long. The crowd was definitely getting restless and did boo.

I think my problem with the concert...and this is NO reflection on Adam or his performance was that it was in an outdoor venue and the accustic's just aren't as good as they are in a regular theater. Plus, the people all around me were talking, singing and yelling and even with the amazing sound system things didn't sound nearly as good as they usually do.

I loved Adam, but i must say i hated Musikfest. It was poorly run, the staff there was incredibly rude and at the end a few of us were in the back trying to catch a glimpse of Adam and the guards and cops were literally screaming at us to "move, or be arrested for trespassing!" Give me a fucking break! We're a bunch of women hoping to meet our idol, not a bunch of drunk idiots looking for trouble. The cops actually had their nightsticks out and were ready to swing. The whole atmosphere was very unpleasant and left a very bad taste in my mouth.

I felt very bad about that especially because i had traveled 4 hours to get there and kept reading about Adam coming out to sign things and greet his fans and i've yet to encounter that. But I know he's tired afterwards and has to travel quite a way to his next show so he can't do that every night. And i don't expect him to do that....but i DO expect the staff to treat the fans with a little dignity and not treat us like dogs.... And i have to make it clear that the staff was NOT hired by Adam, but by the Bethlehem Musikfest committee...

I WILL go and see Adam in concert again, but NEVER again at Musikfest!!!

i too was in the closet for 5 years. came out last year adam is my hero. if he wants to kiss on stage so be it it's cute. he loves his friends. people wake up it's 2010 not 1950. in big italian families guys kiss everyone male or female. no one thinks badly about that!!! you go adam your the bomb!!

Anonymous said...

Again, I absolutely agree about this kiss on stage. But like I said before, this kiss brought many problems for Adam on AMA. Sure, if he doesn't care about any awards or nominations, everything great.

anon 8:08 if I could further respond with your 'buffering problem'. A way around that is to hit the pause button and go off and look at or do something else for awhile until it loads more or all of the way and then you should be able to view without interruption. I have several in my house downloading stuff all the time and poor speed and this is what I have to do to keep sane! Good luck!

So glad Adam helped you to do a very brave thing. Visit this site again because their are a lot of very good souls here. If your family was accepting, good! If not, you have a Glamily here. Also, you can contact your local PFLAG chapter just by Googling it. We aren't professionals...just regular people who are there for you. Since it has been a year I hope you have already noticed the change in you. When you see high school pictures of Adam, it looks like another person....it's more than just the different hair color. My son's walk has changed into a "strut". He looks people in the eye and talks with a confidence he didn't have before coming out. I salute you! lmb
