Adam Lambert falls on VH1, constant on MuchMore

In this week's recap of Adam Lambert's position on music video charts, we have both some good news for fans north of the border and also some sad news here in the States. However, even with that comes some encouragement for the future.
Let's start with the "American Idol" singer's performance on MuchMore's "MM Top Ten" in Canada, where "If I Had You" is still sitting an #2 despite being on the charts all summer. What is this proving? More than anything, perseverance. It is a sign of just how devoted Adam's fans are to the song, and how willing they are to continue voting week after week in order to get it to the top. This effort has certainly paid off, as "If I Had You" is now officially a top ten hit north of the border.
Meanwhile, on VH1's Top 20 Countdown the song fell six places all the way to #15. While there are some fans upset about this news, we could also look at it as a ceremonial passing of the torth. Every song is bound to fall at one point or another, and maybe this is merely time to get ready for Adam's next single and accompanying video. The only difficult part of the equation is figuring out when Adam (in the midst of this Glam Nation Tour) is going to have the time to shoot a video for "Sleepwalker," "Aftermath," or whatever he decides to put on the radio next.

I actually think IIHY is getting more and more radio play. I've been hearing it alot. For the video to fall so many spots seems kind of hard to believe with so many fans dedicated to voting. The up-side is that it is still on the countdown and is visable as long as it stays there.
How did it drop so quick???

Maybe International fans didn't vote so much, after all it is a US channel. Everybody doing their best in their own region.
Does anyone else vote at wplj.com/playlist.asp It is very suspicious there as well since Adam is ranked #24 yet has 66% of votes, whereas all the other songs have 0% ratings (exception is Kris' 2 songs but even they are very low % yet much higher on the list.) This has been happening for weeks and it makes no sense to me. Anyone have an opinion? BTW, please this has nothing to do with Kris since it could be anyother artist where the numbers just dont add up! Adamluv

I am an avid voter and will continue to vote at VH1 and make request from the radio stations. Don't give up -- keep voting!
This morning on VH1 IIHY was listed as the 2nd most watched video. Eminem was 1st. Anyway, does this just mean that Adam is really 2nd in popularity - but people just arent voting?
Just tried to vote at VH1 but couldn't ... couldn't view any ADAM videos either! Is it just me or is everybody having trouble voting? Said something about the website being re-designed or something like that. Will somebody let me know if they're having the same prob??

IIHY had 783,000 votes yesterday. Also, it had 2250 comments and 12,000 love the song. Nobody else get so many votes, comments since 06/14/2010 or even 02/14/2010 (one of these video was realesed on VH1 top20 on February). IIHY cannot be compare with any of these music video they have on the list for today. FOr the last week IIHY got 26,000 votes.
Honestly, I was suprised that they keep Adam in the contestant list. Nobody can compete with 783,000 votes.

@anon 3:27 PM I didn't know about this. However, I read about this last week that #of views &#of votes the same think. But I am sure nobody else can compite with Adam.

Hmmm, strange. I am able to vote on VH1, but I don't know if it is actually counting it because I am in Canada, therefore cannot view any of the videos here.
I live in the US and I vote over and over again everyday for IIHY. I think that VH1 probably doesn't even count all of the votes, or else they are making mistakes. I have voted for up to 45 minutes at a time, sometimes.

VH1 is very quetionable in my opinion. Once about a month ago, I had voted, and then was watching the video when the page "refreshed" VH1 had removed over 9,000 views from the counter. I commented about it several times, and other people commented so they restored the views. I noticed that when VH1 gives a lot of attention to a band, or artists, they end up on top. If you check these top videos out, you will see that they have few comments or views. Also, most all the radio stations were bought up by the concervative Right wing of our Government--Yes, it's true, I remember when it was happening, and they can influence who gets played on the radio. That is why there are soo many conservative talk shows on radio. Look how hard it is, and has been to get Adam played on the radio, when boring singers that no one would buy a ticket to see, get played regularly. Makes me sick!!
I am an "international fan", and I vote 300 times at day, dont know if this is sufficient, in my country (argentina) we can see all the Adam videos except IIHY...is weird. Anyway, I don t believe in vh1, mtv and all this cr**

Adamluv @12:22. Wow you took me back to my youth. WPLJ was the name we gave to the '50's rhythym and blues song "White Port and Lemon Juice." Now I'm humming it away. Thanks for the memories.
It´s cler that it doesn´t matter how much we vote. I voted like nuts last week (I´m from sweden, the "wrong" region to actually see the vid on VH1)and it drops to #15. Here in Sweden WWFM has been the most played record on RIX FM since week 18 and now IIHY is #13 on the "Tracks List", the fastest newcomber this week.
If it´s true that the conservatives are buying most of the radio stations in the US, it´s sickening. Then Adam hasn´t got a chance.
Now I think I go and cry a little :-)

I have had many, many problems trying to vote at VH1. It takes several tries before my 'vote' goes through.
