What a great interview! I love their accents, and I love that they asked good questions. There was no Madonna, Queen, Gaga, AMA usual crap in it at all. And of course, Adam was gracious and articulate as always.

I love Adam and his music, but I just do not understand his thinking thst guys kissing guys is rock and roll. thats just an excuse. He can be sexy , all he wants, and his fans love it.I love it, poor Tommy trying to say he is straight, but no one really believes him when almost every show Adam is sucking his tonsils out. Tommy didn't used to say he was frightened of a relationship with a girl, but he does now.

Why is everyone suddenly a psychiatrist? If you read the interview Tommy gave, he is having the time of his life. He was working in a cubicle a year or so ago. Now he is becoming world famous. Cubicle? World famous? Gee, which one do you think he would rather be. No one changes their orientation--you are or you aren't.

You don´t believe Tommy is straight, then why would he care about any reputation he might have when this is over? "Poor Tommy"? Is he a victim of Adams uncontrolable lust? They both say they are good friends. Why should any of us doubt that?

Great post LP finally someone gets it right !! I love Tommy but he has becoe known as the guitarist that Adam makes out with onstage . And if they were dating that would be fine but Adam has always been very vocal about them not being a couple Tommy never says anything but the look in HIS eyes says it all. Tommys very popular right now maybe Adam could give him more time to shine in his solos so he'll be ready to go it alone after the tour

LP, you need to close your eyes (so you won't have to see the kiss) and enjoy his talent.
And Anon @4:58 you need to open yours and see just how many times Tommy moves in for the kiss (and with a smile on his face) before Adam.
All in all ladies, they both have acknowledged in interviews that they enjoy it, and know the audience enjoys it.

Adam has said he doesn't want to be known as the openly gay AI finalist, that there is so much more to the gay population than sexual orientation. So hey, here's a thought. Quit focusing on the gay orientation and show us all those other aspects. Kissing the straight guy in every performance is getting cliche and boring, especially when the talent alone is so amazing. If you don't want one M.O., then quite calling attention to only one.

LP is right . Of course Tommy is having the time of his life! And he is a willing prop fpr Adam but what will he do after the tour is finished . Both isaac and Monte are established as musicians who have experience playing with other bands and well known personalities.Tpmmy really has not had a chance to show his guitar playing ability because of the role he has (willingly) been playing as cute kitty. I know he can do it and I'm looking forward to seeing perform without having to cuddle up to anyone

I think you missed my point, we have been talking about why Adam is never nominated for anything. I personally think they will not let an openly gay go mainstream..Adam could tone it down just by taking the kiss out. I hear there have been rumors about Bieber being gay, of course just rumors cuz I don't think he has ever dated. Adam and Tommy are super good friends. I wonder what Tommy will do when GNT is over.

I enjoy the kissing, but agree it doesn't need to be every show, the anticipation is higher if its not all the time...There was a link posted the other day on MJ's to a fan video of Adam/Tommy moments, and although there's been quite a few of these, this one stood out. They were all close ups, and not all kissing but other small things, and you could see the love between the two,and I don't mean love as in 'a couple' but the love, admiration, joy etc of being friends and liking each other. You could also see from Tommys face that he enjoys the whole thing.

Please don't blame Adam for Tommy's solo, blame Monte. Monte is the guitar player and he will be the one getting all the solos. But also don't forget that Adam gave them all the chance to do their solos and introduce them to all the fans. who would do that? Adam is very generous IMAO. Tommy should be grateful for the attention he is getting because of Adam. Everyone knows Tommy, he has more Twitter followers than any member of the band.
Enough with the rant, I enjoy the kisses from these two, they are hot. And I don't think Tommy is complaining either, I have seen him so many times leaning towards Adam for a kiss, and he gives those eyes (you know those "kiss me, ravish me, I am you bitch eyes?).
Oh and one more thing, Tommy has proved that he can slay the guitar during monte's absent (when Monte had his twins)I think it was PA radio gig?

interesting posts...I'm kinda torn on this cuz on the one hand Adam has proven that he is willing to compromise in order to perform his music. But I agree with LP in the sense that the kiss and even the over-the-top theatrics (to a certain extent) may be stymieing his chances of more mainstream success...we all know that he deserves more recognition from these award shows and if all it takes is toning his act down a bit (not to an extreme just slightly so) then why not just do it? He keeps saying that his sexual orientation is just a small part of who he is and he wants his privacy, but by repeatedly drawing focus to that aspect of who he is as a performer he is contradicting himself in a way...I don't think he should censor himself and if he feels like kissing a dude in his concert fine but at this point its become a regular staple in the concert...its no longer something exciting and/or unpredictable...plus, he has said that he does it for our entertainment (he knows that the majority of his fan base is composed of women so he assumes they find it sexy which it can be) however if that is gonna cost him or affect his career in a negative way then by all means he should stop or maybe do it w less frequency...he did it for idol and for Malaysia and the fans were still happy, I mean its fundamentally about the music right? so he can stop doing it for the sake of his career ...having said this, if he isn't just doing it for the audience or for the sake of the show or whatever and feels that he needs to do it for himself because he enjoys it then that's a different story. Then we need to just accept that but I think we can all agree that we want him to be as successful as he can and if that means no kiss we can certainly adapt to that adjustment. So what I think LP and other posters are getting at is that he perhaps needs to be clear about his intentions and not use the audience or something else as an excuse (it being rock n roll is another one) to justify his actions. If he wants to do it he should just own that. Otherwise it can seem a bit hypocritical. Personally I wouldn't care if he got a blowjob on stage or if he just stood there and sang the whole time, his music is great and that's all I care about.
Oh and Tommy is old enough to make his own decisions I think. Nobody is forcing him to do anything.
Personally Ive never come across a heterosexual male who enjoys making out with another man but ultimately his sexual orientation is none of my business.

Comments in here really makes you think. You guys do have valid points. All food for thought for Adam. All we just really want is longevity for Adam's career. It's a healthy discussion.

Here again, Adam is a smart boy, I always think there are more reasons for the kissing than being himself. As a fan outside American, never see so much hate against a singer, really wide-eye opening about the way he was judged after idol. Do you think the record sale and the the die hard fan are enough for him to secure his future. Look at other pop stars record sale. Remember, most Adam fans are women and Adam is sexy and has a universal sex appeal for any women around the world. He need a sell out concert tour to generate enough buzz to bring him to the second round and I think he doing a hell of good job now (both with vocal and his sexiness). His second record better be a super good one to against all odd situations in US. Trust him, he knows what he is doing and he is a loving human beings.

I think in some way Adam took advantage of that, I think Tommy is a sweet guy, and will go along with what ever Adam wants to bring to the show. Monte has his future set, He is working on an album of his own, and said he will always work for Adam.

Adam is quite the businessman. He is fully aware and is probably planned 20 steps ahead in his career.

Hi all you anon's. Let's talk about Tommy for a second. Tommy is an accomplished lead guitar player. He would be Adam's lead player except Monte and Adam have been together for five or six years. Even Monte says he feels bad for Tommy not getting to play much on the tour. Just the bass which he accepted the job and knew he could pick it up because he wanted to tour with a well known person and band. (and make some good steady money.)Monte also said that "who knows, in the future maybe they would hire another bass player and have two lead guitar players." He and Tommy. I don't think TOmmy has toured with a band, only played locally and around Ca. Check out Tommy with his old group, "Turn of the Screw" and another band called "Eat The Crow". They were WILD!! to say the least! Tommy said they were all about
"Rock n' Roll, F***ing Rock n' Roll. He really is a great lead guitar player. I think you can find some of this on You Tube.
Having said all this, yes, he is grateful to Adam for the chance to tour and become known around the Nation and the World. And, gosh, he wears makeup better than most women I know. Just
gorgeous. Love those eyes!
After pushing all the buttons he and Adam have pushed I don't know what they will do on the next tour that could top THIS ONE! But I'm sure Adam will always have pleanty of stuff up his sleeve. Adam can be grateful he met Tommy who is sooooo laid back and calm. Playing the game with Adam. Getting a big ass kick out of it. Monte plays for Madona and Adam. He was asked which would he choose if they both needed him at the same time. He said that was going to be a very difficult decession. This was during the begining of the tour. I think he would find the decession easier to make at this point. He also loves Adam very much. This is all "quote, unquote". LAST BUT NOT LEAST, may I say again,

I don't think Tommy was hired just for his guitar playing skills. After all, Monte was playing with Madonna and Tommy was working in a cubicle. He is an average bass player.

I think Adam saw someone who would fit in well with the Glamily and also liked having someone
"his type" on stage with him. Tommy fits this
perfectly.

I agree that if he doesn't want to draw attention to the gay factor, he has to stop drawing attention to the gay factor. Other pop
artists don't include making out with band
members at every show even if both are hetero.
Openly gay will continue to be his tag with this
approach. Still, Adam has to be himself and I'm
sure he will do what he wants.

@Anon at7:21PM-thanks for the link. So, the reviewer was expecting a raunchier performance and was sad that the kiss only happened once. To each his own i guess.

This is one of the many things i like about Adam. He stimulates conversations and it is all good.

@Fan4fun- exactly my thoughts. I remember Adam saying that the 2 things he loves doing which he is very good at are singing and kissing. These guys most specially Adam are working their asses off in order to give a spectacular performance night after night while touring. All work and no play will definitely take its toll on them so what's with a little kiss. Adam and Tommy certainly know how to put on show but they seem to be mindful of the sensitivities of a number of venues.


@Malaysian fan- i'm pretty sure that he was referring to somewhere else when he said 'begged to' because if my memory serves me well, there was this interview last year when his friend said that there were times when they would ask him to tone it down a bit.

It only gets old when people have watched it for more than 70x. But for the GNT virgins the kiss surely adds a little spice and more meaning to FEVER that in itself is a sexy song. Just my personal opinion :)

Anon 6:49 and 8:38, I think I most agree with you. I think it would be the smartest thing for Adam to back away from the Tommy kiss even though I do love it. I think, for his career to move forward with nominations and awards, he needs to think about why it is not happening. I do think the world will see the talent he truly has, but it may take years.

Quite honestly, the first video I look for night after night is the interaction between Adam and Brooke during If I Had You. Then I look for Fever. It reminds me of the feeling one gets when two characters in a soap opera have this obvious blazing hot chemistry and you are dying for them to hook up, but we are constantly teased for weeks or months or longer, in anticipation of them getting together.

Please don't get after me but I would love it if Brooke and Adam started teasing us crazy women with some kissing! Hey, as Adam says "It's all Rock n Roll", and even says he likes kissing girls, albeit after a few drinks. (I know, I know, he is gay. I clearly get that.)

I think the rest of the world might calm down eventually a bit if he backed off the Tommy kissing. He needs to do this to further his career as much as many of you might disagree.

We all need to support Adam by voting for him at least on PeoplesChoice awards, even though it may be fruitless. At least we and Adam are learning what this industry is all about-money. I believe that eventually the rest of the world will see what a talent he truly is.

Adam kissed Tommy during the Melbourne concert last night and honestly, it was no big deal but I guess that's because I was expecting it.

Apparently he kissed an audience member tonight at the Sydney concert, and the whole concert was as raunchy as so bring on the clips, Sydneysiders!

Does anyone here have faith that Adam (a grown man) has the ability to decide his own career path, and take it to whatever the next level he deems necessary?
JFC....he is not stupid, he's actually quite brilliant and whether you agree with his direction or the means to which he takes that path is moot.

Sorry all of you guys and gals that have issues about Adam and Tommy kissing. I have been to several shows in the states and will be attending several venues in Europe. The audience loves whatever the two of them do with each other. It is so much fun. They are both such teases and the audience eats it up. Come on...it's all about the joy and happiness you experience at one of Adam's shows. I hope your negativity does not make them tone everything down. It's a beautiful thing!!!

The female interviewer is Ricki-Lee Coulter who is an Australian singer and a former Australian Idol contestant. She didn't win in her year, nor was she runner-up but she's been quite successful post Idol.

While I could care less if Adam kisses Tommy,it's none of my business. I'm an Adam fan because of Adam period! I love him, his voice, his personality, etc. etc. etc. However, Adam knows that a lot of fans love the kissing and he is more than happy to oblige. I think Tommy even asked Adam to "do something to him" in the beginning and the kissing started - the rest is history. I think it's a win - win for Adam and Tommy as they both seem to enjoy it VERY MUCH! No one can tell Adam how to act, nor should we, his fans, tell him what to do. If Adam is happy, that's all I care about. I know he won't compromise who he is - that's what Adam is all about - being true to himself despite the repercussions.
