This was posted on the other thread but I feel this deserves its own thread! Adam finally performs "Broken Open" again! It's been a long wait!

The audience was silent throughout the whole video too! And the quality is amazing. One of the best live performances ever.

So beautiful!! Wonder why he changed "should be" to "could be". Would love to hear how he makes those subtle changes and why. Adam, we love every note, every sound, every moment - that huge audience was silent except for the moment when they realized your precious song was coming for them.

Thanks for posting this. I didn't see the other thread with all the performances. I didn't know he performed BO today.

So glad to finally see this song performed again.

Stunning. Adam's voice is such an amazing instrument in and of itself that I completely forgot that there was only one other instrument accompanying him on this...such satisfying melodic sounds were filling my ears that I had to remind myself there was only Adam and Monte's guitar. And I don't know if it's a culture thing, a respect thing, a shyness or reserved thing or what, but the fans' silence was as stunning as the performance...maybe it's as simple as the fact that it just didn't occur to them to be anything but respectful and reverent of the performance given it's powerful but quiet nature... maybe they were just smart enough or in tune enough to realize they were receiving a gift and wouldn't have dreamt of interrupting... I don't know, but whatever the case was, their silence lent toward a very special experience.

Simply beautiful... I feel like Adam is hitting another level, or he is peeling away another layer. Whatever is happening with this BB, it is truly remarkable. I feel honored to witness his journey.
He brings light into our lives, and yes it is a gift.

I love the gasps in the audience when they recognize that he is going to sing Broken Open for them. Very respectful crowd. Very nice.

So beautiful!!!! I am just sobbing and in awe! Just when you think it can't get any better, it does... Thank you, Adam, just Thank you!!

If anyone still needed proof of Adam's vocal skills, they should be sent this video. You could not hear a fly in this concert hall. Incredible. Should be sent to Grammys' officials.

Sorry...meant to write that you COULD year a fly go by in this concert hall...because of Adam's mesmerizing song.

OK -- Why do I see the word 'year' when I precisely typed the word HEAR. Geez...

Beautiful. It took me back to the late 60's era of folk music with Monte's fabulous guitar work and that voice.

I think the Japanese are a very respectful and polite society. The Japanese people of my acquaintance are always thus.

I agree this should be sent to the Grammy's! Just breathtaking.
What an amazing audience too! We in North America
could learn from this.
Monte's new hairstyle looks good.
Adam stunning as always.

Absolutely beautiful, not a better voice in the world today. Hope he writes more of this type of song, his voice was made for it.

All I can say is the Japanese know how to behave. Can we please get that here in America or in some other countries. I have to say my respect for the Japanese culture has just gone through the roof. This is the only audience I have ever experienced in all my time following Adam throughout the US and elsewhere that has ever let him sing without drowning him out with stupid yelling, shrieking, and carrying on. Thank you all of the members of this audience that had the common sense to SHUT UP! God bless each and every one of you.

Absolutely stunning..if you didn't listen with headphones, do so...it is incredible and I could hardly breath during this song...he brought tears to my eyes and joy to my heart...I really believe his greatest recognition will come from these simply orchestrated, acoustic versions of these songs...just the voice and simple yet beautiful accompaniment..I adore Adam at this "friskiest' self, but his voice is best heard this way...Well, heck I love it all but this was just perfection, and without the usual screams and "I love you Adam" yells, there for all of us to enjoy.
Another one to add to his last few US gigs, Hawaii and now LA...

Years ago when I was a teenager, a friend and I went to see Tina Turner in a lounge show in Vegas. We weren't even old enough to be there, but we looked the part. Anyway, this was before Tina was really famous. We sat in a dimly lit bar and listened to her rock out and also sing soulful songs. It would be a dream come true if we could do that, right? His concert was amazing here, but there is still that outburst, or the group that can't keep quiet during the parts that bring tears to our eyes. Sigh.

Finally an audience that is respectful of Adam's incredible voice! They do him the honor that he deserves! Lovely people! Gorgeous ADAM!!!

OMG, OMG, OMG!! Besides "Ring of Fire", this is my all time favorite Adam song!! How amazing that he sang it, live, for this audience! And, as everyone has already said, they were SO respectful! Beautiful. The whole, entire thing was just beautiful. Gave me chills. I wish he would have slowed it down a bit, but I am NOT complaining! Need to listen, again and again. And, OT, love Monty's new look! :)

Lately, in the car, my 6-year old son wants to hear Adam's "Sure Fire Winners" - at top volume - over and over and over! Yeah! However, after the millionth time of listening to it (believe me, peeps, I know EVERY nuance...every time Adam inhales or exhales) I finally said (believe it or not!) "ok, time to listen to something else for awhile!" to which my little smartie-pants son said "but mama, Adam Lambert is your favorite singer!?!?" HA - he got me! So I told it we could listen to SFW 1 million more times, as long as we could hear MY favorite song: "Broken Open". :) Then I cranked BO and we were both happy.

Beautiful - no other words needed!

YES! I'm sooooo happy to see Broken Open! Absolutely STUNNING vocals on this. And you could hear a pin drop! YES! THAT is how it's done! I love it! If I had to guess why he took it off the setlist here, it's b/c the audiences here aren't always respectful, and it's difficult to connect when people are screeching, yelling, and screaming all the way through. Take notes on this audience peeps!:) Concert Etiquette 101!

Oh, and hello handsome bald Monte! I'm such a sucker for that, he has the perfect head for it too! 2 gorgeous, talented, kind men up there. What could be better :)

Classy audience for a classy entertainer! Again the Japanese audience knows how to truly appreciate fine talent by allowing Adam to show his exquisite voice and professional training. When you warm up your voice and take such care to give us such excellence, it has to be so gratifying for Adam to know the audience has heard every beautiful note. The fun upbeat songs are meant to be sung along and danced to, but the acoustic ballads are to be savored in silence. I'm still transfixed and mesmerised.Love Broken Open. Hope he will do it back in US. Adamfix, Your little boy is an Adam fan in training! What a sweetie pie! Thanks for sharing!I could totally picture it and remember car times with my three when they were that age. Ditto GL and MGF! Like Monte's new look. He has beautiful eyes that will be even more compelling sans hair. Not the look for Adam tho'IMHO! haha Thanks Japanese fans for the videos and your beautiful treatment of Adam. funbunn40

@Adam Fix - your son has good taste!! I am an absolute SFW junkie myself, I gotta admit!!

Thx funbunn40 and MGF! :)

OT - MGF: he's doing great at school. He went to K. there, and is now in 1st grade. As luck would have it, his K. teacher went on to teach 1st grade and he's in her class again...she's amazing (heavy emphasis on reading and art)! So we're all super excited, and it was a really easy transition for him. How about your kids? How old are they? I want to say they're both in elementary school - right?
