From 2dayfm:

We sent out the call to Adam Lambert's biggest fans all over the world to send us their video questions, and they delivered.

Videos were tweeted to @latestdirt from all over the United States, and of course Australia.

From children to chocolate, the American Idol and gay glam rock popstar tackles the tough questions from his toughest critics.

Don't miss the fan asking her question in the middle of a forest (around the 1:38 mark)!

Adam, I agree soooooooo much with the woods lady. You need to put some solid rock sound on the next album (not that I don't love what you did on the first one). You're voice is perfect for it and I love the '20th Century Boy' and 'Enter Sandman' covers. That sound is why alot of us fell in love with you on Idol............

@DC Canadian - IKR, ugh

@ZZ - saw the buzzing about that in the blogosphere today - Lambert just CAN sing anything, he just can...because, 'ya know, like, he can :) (ability wise is what I'm getting at lol) so all other points in this debate fall away when it comes to Adam Lambert, ha!

OT ps. for anyone interested, Joel Burns on Ellen today apparently... and about to be on MSNBC's Lawrence O'Donnell show with his husband, 10:30pm EST. His vids nearing 2 mil hits apparently.

And I don't think the lady in the forest was weird, as the commentator said. I think it was in honor of his "If I Had You' video!!!

Anonymous said...

No judging the lady in the forest! She is doing her own thing and let's appreciate it cuz she had the best question. Yeah Adam rock, rock, rock, along with some pop and a Queen cover with Brian May......just sayin...would love it!

FUCK YES!! More Rock music please!!! Its absolutely perfect for his voice, style, charisma, etc... and he has the stamina to pull it off.
Just sayin.

My question got selected! Adam as father is sooo adorable to think about! He seems like he'd be great with children! Little glambabies running around! & omg if they had his voice! wow!

Why all this talk of collabs? Adam has all the resources he needs--his current band--to establish his own musical identity, which is not only what his fans want from him, but what the public is wondering because of the numerous collabs and over-production on his first album. He's a brilliant songwriter, has written with Monte Pittman, and his current band members could make a significant contribution to a unique sound if given the opportunity. But what do I know.

i have never in my life liked rock music but when Adam rocked it in AI, I became an instant fan of rock music. Adam does it so beautifully that I and my two young teenagers crave for him to do more of it. We all love what he showed in AI, so we hope his second album has more rock and a little of emo music.

Realistically, not many parents can put their jobs
on hold for 10 years when a baby comes along, even
if they would like to.( Monte, for example..)
I guess being rich can help with that.

Adam - please have children...somehow, someway, someday. You have SO much to give! Such great values to instill, along with your humor and intelligence! OK, and your looks...and the voice, if the kid got really, really lucky.

(pssst - and, if you need a surrogate, I'm available next Thursday night...!)

@Kathryn17

It is hard to say what's with him but he seems to glow even more around children. You may have seen this already but just the same here is the link to one of my favorite videos of Adam with kids:

I remember a recent post here from Cindy saying that Adam was born to rock and i absolutely understand her point of view. Just like you i've learned to appreciate rock because of his covers. And honestly i am beginning to enjoy ROCK ADAM!

Back to the headline topic that caught my eye...Adam would be great raising kids...(donors.org) but would he use a suragate like MJ did with his own DNA or adopt? Someone ask this question please!! ....10 yrs down the road of course. JDF

LMAO! The lady in the woods, hilarious... Isn't it enough that he is eye-camdy for us. Any hoo... We pass out Reese's Peanut cups on Halloween; and I keep york peppermint patties on hand for my daughter. (She's a mint junkie.)

Yeah, RockGod should come back. Put a solid mental rock song already. Fans all love the pop/rock edge u tried to do. However, your singing can do far more than that.

glittzchick said...

Adam, are ya listenin'? You teased us with rock on idol. then with the CD a lotta folks -- even tho' we loved it eventually -- took a little time 'cos of all the techno -- Now on tour you're teasing us again. As I like to say, anyone who saw "Sandman" knows you could single-handedly (hehe) bring back rock. There's a teensy blind spot ya got going on with overproduction -- You don't need it.

To do a solid rock album would be letting himself open to more criticism; Metallca fans freaking out as it is. What he is doing is not broke, so why fix it. Also, why in the world would Adam want to raise a child at this time in his life? Or ever, for that matter. Who is seeing him in this Daddy role? Not me. Idealistically, I think he should be the Super Star he was meant to be. Why all the baggage? Going anon here so I can hide.

Adam should make the kind of music Adam wants to do and not just cater to his fans. JMO He needs to be a leader, not a follower.

OHboy, a couple of fun things... =) "OT"--blame Adam Fix for that... =)

ADAM FIX, you crack me up, AND you must have the most WONDERFUL hubby ever... (can we borrow him if you're gonna be available next Thurs nite? lol) **He GOT you ADAM & plane tix... OMG!!!!! omg!!

GLITZYlADY & ADAM FIX, er...excuse me while I bang my head on the keeyboard!!! AGHagghgHHH!!!
LUCKY lucky YOUs plural!!! WOW.... I'm so happy for you both and soooo jealous for me!! =/
It would be so cool if you two could meet... and promise you'll come back here and tell us ALL about that show!!
GLITZYLADY... not enlightened on the 'lore of 24/7'...? Any way to find out about that?? Pretty please??

BING... Hi! Glad you remember that statement and like it, thanks. So glad you're enjoying rock now too! Amazing what Adam can do ..he makes us want to 'listen to music again'... or discover it for the first time! Enjoy...

I felt his answer to the 'rock' question was being diplomatic. I have a feeling he has no intention of going that route. too bad! Adamluv

Hi Cindy, loved your post!
OK, here's the 24/7 lore. Glitzylady and I both live in Seattle. When Adam came and performed here in August, we were determined to meet each other. I got down to the venue in the early evening, and the line was around the block. Unbenknownst to me, GL had arrived much, much earlier and was already in the bar. :) I had told her I'd make/cary a pink sign that said "24/7". True to my word, I did. I slowly walked up and down that long line of ppl a couple times, looking every single person in the eye, because I was NOT going to miss my chance to finally meet GL! However - no luck (although I did meet someone from Canada who knew about 24/7 and recognized me when I told her my handle was "Adam Fix").

Get inside, decide to try one last time. Start walking around with my pink sign. A guy comes up to me and asks what 24/7 was all about, and when I said it was a website, and I was trying to find/meet an online friend from it, he laughs and says "oh - my friends and I thought you were a hooker!"

WTF, WTF, WTF?? Suddenly that happy, loving, glittery Adam-feeling flowed right out my toes and I almost gave the guy an upper-cut to his jaw, but managed to restrain myself. However, he did take the wind right out of my sales and I gave up looking for GL. I never made it up to the enclosed bar...where she'd been for hours.

Damn - SO close!!! Determined not to let THAT happen again!
