Adam Lambert's Malaysian concert to be broadcasted

We have just a bit of irony today on the Adam Lambert front -- out of all the concerts from the Glam Nation Tour to someday make it on to broadcast television, the one to ultimately make it onto broadcast television is coming from Malaysia.

The show will be broadcasted November 3 at 8:00 p.m. on Astro Hitz in the country, making this the first major concert from the tour to receive a full primetime special. Adam will be chronicled in an upcoming E! True Hollywood Story to air next month, but that will be taking a look at his full career rather than a few individual songs.

Although it is not indicated on the programming schedule for the show, we have to believe that the program will cover most of Adam's performance from the concert. The only real question to come out of all of this is how quickly it will take for someone to put this show on Youtube.

Wow! this is awesome! Just like what I said earlier! It's a blessing in disguise! All that commotion and now they're broadcasting GN on a primetime special... SWEET! Way to go Adam!!! ☺

Adam, your time is coming. I can almost foreseen the glorious moment. So happy to you.

Fenomenal! After all of these protests, the Glam Tour will be brodcasted in Malaysia! This picture above would be perfect cover for DVD. Adam performed "Soaked" in Malaysia fantiastic. I guess it was the best performance of this song.
I went to the concert once, but want to have this DVD anyway. Adam always performs his songs different way. He never repeats himself.

Just shows that gearing the show to grandma & grandpa,( Adams words),makes a lot of difference, if you want it televised.Just taking the (kiss) out makes a huge difference. But Adam is stubborn about that, and I don't think he will.

Anonymous said...

Maybe he will want more than one exotic sports car and leave out the kiss for cash. I know I would and laugh all the way to the bank.

Adam loves his fans and was not going to let Malaysia down. This broadcast is soo awesome!!

While other performers such as Beyonce have actually canceled dates when asked to "modify" the show and honor their government -- Adam stepped up to the plate and DELIVERED a mindblowing performance.

Adam - you are making history and continue to build your fanbase. Seeing you in person is a lifechanging event in itself!

Irony is the word for the day! And I was so concerned about him performing there - dont mind being wrong in the least! Adamluv

@ Adamluv

Ok, I agree, but do not underestimate my double size white candles and the lots of white sugar around them to his Guard Angel and MY Guard Angel (that I sent to watch his back since the GNT started)... It has been impossible to me to go to any of his concerts but I do send my light to sweet Adam from here, the best way I can, just saying...

SO THE REST OF THE WORLD UNDERSTANDS THE ABSOLUTE TALENT OF THIS BEAUTIFUL MAN....WHERE OH WHERE IS THE LAND OF THE FREE (?EXPRESSION?) THE NARROW MINDED PRIME NETWORK STATIONS STILL HAVE HIM BLACKBALLED. WHAT DOES HE HAVE TO DO TO GET BACK IN THEIR GOOD GRACES...APOLOGIZE?

Anonymous said...

A FOLLOW UP TO THE ABOVE...CHARLIE SHEEN IS PAID 2 MILLION AN EPISODE ON PRIME TIME..HE'S A COKE HEAD, HAD A PROSTITUTE LOCKED IN HIS BATHROOM SCARED TO DEATH, TRASHED A ROOM (20k WORTH) WITH HIS TWO YOUNG DAUGHTERS ACROSS THE HALL AND HE TELLS THE "SUITS" WHAT HE'S GOING TO DO....WHERE IS THE JUSTICE FOR ADAM???

Anonymous said...

Anon 12:46, yes that Charlie Sheen disaster tells us loud and clear that if you can bring in money for the suits, you can pretty much do anything. Except be an open proud gay dude! Adamluv

Anonymous said...

I agree Adamluv!! I watched an episode on Real Time with Bill Maher the other night. They were talking about the gay "bullying" issues.

Then something very insightful was stated. Just as we came through periods of slavery, women rights not being able to vote, etc.

People do and can change. They said that in a few years from now, Americans will look back and be shocked that there ever was a time when gays were ridiculed, bullied and unable to marry.

As a society, Charlie Sheen's behavior is somehow shoved off into a corner - out of sight out of mind.

Now here is ADAM, considerate, intelligent, talented, and passionate about all things in his life - yet he is the one under a microscope.

Adam is knocking down walls one brick at a time. This too will change. Go Adam!!

do you remember how many articles were about 'the protest against Adam's show in Malaysia'? even CNN had something to say and the malaysians fans were so upset and now just a few articles about this recognition of the true talent of Adam

Anonymous said...

Unfortunately, all recognitions start from public appearance. This is one of the reasons they don't want give Adam any nominations or awards, even invite him as a guest. So many people crazy about Adam, but it would be 10-15 times more people who'll become Adam's fans after just a few appearance on big parties as AMA of Grammies.

That poster above was designed by someone called mlg on MJsbigblog. She has designed an amzing poster for each GNT, if you go to mj's on each thread where she puts a link to the new poster, there is also a link to show all of them. There are some really amazing ones, well worth a look.

Teflon Charlie made his reputation years ago, and that's why he is seldom hurt by bad publicity. In retrospect, Adam coming out immediately will also safe guard him to some extent. He's not trying to fool anyone, the years ahead, I believe will confirm this. Now onto the Malaysian broadcasting GNT, I'll be damned, no double damned, if that isn't about the most ironic thing to happen in many a moon. Go, Adam, Go Adam, Yea!

@ delilah5

It's OK delilah, thanks for your care. You know, I'm really blessed to have my Glamily here giving me datails by posting amazing reports of their experiences in face of the live touch of the «Universal Power of Adam Lambert»... and the very sweet Adam all himself, so happy in amazing videos, performing, being interviewed... all these great photos, so many info, soo good opinions of my fellows fans... I can expose and share my love in «Paradise» 24/7 every day, many times a day... My chances will certainly come soon, I am a believer!

I pray that a few years from now when Adam is the American star that we all want him to be and really doesn't have time for barricades and meet and greets...I pray that all of us who display our love for him don't turn on him and yell that without us he wouldn't be where he is. I pray that we continue to follow him and enjoy his beautiful voice even if he is not as accessible as he is now. That is, afterall, the price of fame.

Wow, love the fact that this will be broadcast! Good for Adam, and all his fans, who showed him SO much love when he performed in Malaysia!

Am cracking up that this poster, though, contains many images of Adam/Tommy kissing! ;)

@ Adamfix, me too! First thing I noticed was the Tommy kiss on the Malaysian poster! How ironic and also the broadcast! So proud of Adam for stepping up for the fans and respecting the culture by adhering to their requests. The kiss is fun, but just icing on his genuine talent. By doing so he attracted many more new fans and strengthened the love of the current ones. @ fan4fun, I also had my white light candle on Adam while in Malaysia. For many years it's been used for healing purposes. I call it God's healing white light, even tho' I'm not particularly religious, mainly spiritual.Just open to the universe for the common good as I feel you are. I believe you will come face to face with your Diamond Boy one day! I'll keep beaming you up! funbunn40

There is no better way to honor PURE TALENT than this one. IMHO this broadcast is the strongest political statement to come out after the PAS protest against Adam as a person and as an artist. In fact, i couldn't agree more with @ANON Oct. 29 10:18AM simply because Adam even got more free publicity for himself. It is their noise that made people curious to see for themselves what the hullaballoo was exactly all about and then the inevitable happens. They are surprised to see a lot more to Adam's naughty and sexy moves and discovers his magical voice. Ergo, Adam emerges as the victor period! Again thanks so much Malaysian fans for believing in Adam and for the massive support you have given him.

@funbunn40- thanks for this and i just want you to know that i always pay attention to what you have to say. Now if i may, America should be very proud to have an exquisite performance artist who is being received so warmly by at least 24 other countries. I can never stop thanking Adam's parents for bringing this gorgeous creature into this world. His character speaks a lot of how well he was raised. His demeanor plus of course his remarkable talent and artistry is what separates him from the rest in the music industry today. Kudos to Leila & Eber for this wonderful human being. Adam is definitely a rare gem who deserves to be respected for his musicality and professionalism. Thanks again funbunn40 :)

As much as some people try to shove it aside as if it does not exist, Adam Lambert is a star. These same people recognize it, but feel they need to have their asses kissed for him to get back in their good graces. He doesn't have to apologize for anything. As he sang so eloquently, A Change is Gona Come. Those already on the Adam Band Wagon, will be verified. Charlie Sheen is bullet proof, hope Adam is the same eventually.

@ Bing: Oh I totally agree with what you said about the broadcast being the strongest political statement. I do feel that this is an EPIC WIN for Adam after all the craps they thrown at him in Malaysia.
Goosh.. I feel like dancing on top of the table :P LOL
Go Adam!!

Thanks @venzi cuz i can't view it in any other way. I would avoid being judgmental with the fundamentalists because it is their job to protect their sacred beliefs and principles, that which is inherent in every other culture out there. And it is so unfortunate for them that Adam's INSANE TALENT has overpowered their protest. It is also Adam's humility that endeared him all the more to his Malaysian fans. I agree with you a 100% that this is certainly an epic win for him. Not only did he prove to the world that he is an honorable man but he also showed everyone the true essence of professionalism.

And you know what venzi i had been singing WHAT A WONDERFUL WORLD since yesterday cuz of all the great news coming in. Things are indeed getting better for Adam \o/ Cheers!

@venzi

Isn´t that an epic win after all the craps they thrown at him in his own country? Muslims and conservatives give him the recognition he deserves. In the US it´s quiet.
