This song is probably in my top three favs of Adam's. It's so beautiful, and he sings it with such eloquence. So sorry he dropped it from the US tour, but quite a treat to see it here first thing this morning. Thank you to whomever took the video; it really started my day off right.

Broken open. Now, that was beautiful.

I really have to say how much I appreciate those who go to the concerts and take the videos to share with the rest of us. I have been to see Adam and started to video tape him but stopped because I just wanted to experience the moment fully. These people who take the videos for us who can't be there are giving us more than a video. They are giving up part of their Adam experience so we can share in the moment. ALL the videos we are lucky enough to view are absolutely "perfect". Thank you!

I think "Aftermath" is the best song after WWFM. I would love to have seen it released as a single in the US.

Broken Open and Aftermath are two beautiful songs. It is important to thank those who take the time to video tape the concert. You are bringing so much joy to so many people. Thank you.

Absolutely love that he is doing FYE. A big thanks to the person who is risking losing his camera and taking these videos. Security must be iron tight. Think the videographer (is that a word? should be) got so excited he forgot to put his camera on zoom, or else he was taping from the parking lot. Kidding! I am sure we will get some clearer vids as the Intl tour continues and security lets up a bit. Just being selfish as we have been in a drought and now FYE!!!

Absolutely - thanks to all the videographers of Adam's concerts! (Unless I was definitely going to multiple concerts, like more than 3, I wouldn't risk diminishing my own live concert experience to tape/film, if I'm being honest, so I really appreciate what others do in this regard).

@PRS - I'm with you on Broken Open... and I've had Loaded Smile on serious iTouch repeat today too, just the mood I'm in I guess :) ... yesterday it was Master Plan, love that song! That was the song I was going to mention wanting to hear Adam do in concert on that "other thread", before it's objective got repurposed, lol.

Although I fully realize the "pacing" trickiness that Broken Open would have posed for the GNT set list, totally get that!!

It looks like, for the Japanese people, he is The Singer. No need for any kind of adjectives! The infinity tattoo has ten times more meaning with a non-English speaking audience. They react more to the energy that comes from the stage then to the words. I was waiting for this kind of respect during acoustic songs ..in Japan. I bet Adam and his friends are thrilled to perform in this country. It seemed like a younger crowd too :-).
Btw, BO proves hard to sing acoustically and, after listening again in my car today, I think TFM would be even harder, unplugged or not. Master Plan would be nice too, but not sure it fits the GNT theme. As for FYE.. I was certain they were going to play it in that part of the world! Love,love,love it! GLb

What are the audience throwing on the stage. Never say underwear in Japan! Videos are too far back to see anything clearly. Too funny. Is our boy packin a few more lbs? All that pirate food pretty good, hey matey? So very happy to finally hear FYE. Probably good thing I didn't hear it here in concert, may have had a melt down. Odds that he does FYE in upcoming LA Show. Trying to find someone to fly to LA with me. You would think that a no-brainer, but it's the holidays and everyone I know being selfish and saying they have to do the holidays at home. Will probably have to watch it on Video the way things going, but...you never know. If I go MIA in December my family will know where to find me.

@ ZZ

Whaaaaat? Oh boy, «twitter» is just for you younger guys, I'm too old for this shit!
I barely can post here in order to keep alive my fantasy about my exotic singing bird. And as you see... the poor good little thing missed a piece of his butt... bitten off by Toshiro Neal, some threads behind!
Come on, ZZ! I need more info please, if you can... You just drop your beer (not on the keyboard) and go search! I'm waiting for! Thanks ZZ, thanks anyone!

At the very end of Soaked, if you slow it or stop/start it, it looks like Adam was really crying and had to turn his back. Such a heartfelt performance. He is too lovely for words. sigh.

coloforadam said...

choons - you may be right. He did seem to be striving harder to get across the message of that song. The song is always emotional but seems more so in that performance. Maybe it has to do with those heartbreaking gay teen suicides this week. Stuff like that must hit Adam pretty hard.

@ choons

(deep sigh!) So... this amazing young man has to go to Japan if he wants the most respectful silence while singing??? Not deserved when he's home?
Too bad! Too expensive! (another deep sigh!)

EYAH!! I get the disrespect issue with idle chatter during Soaked but the swell of emotion that comes during the pause, when he looks into the audience and people just swoon (loudly) - I think that is beautiful and it was sorely lacking in the Japanese audience. You could tell by the short length of the pause. Us USA'ers did it better - MUCH better!! eh?

@Holland Fan,
There were two Bass Jerkings, the first one I saw was in Indianapolis, In with the following addy, http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=P6sWhPhDRJg

@Urethara_Franklin, I had seen the Bass Jerking in Atlanta but it was by another video poster. Thanks so much for your site addy, it was much better, being head on. Loved it!!

Wow - that was a sizzling TCB! Even Camilla, on keyboards, got a little "action"!

- Adam Fix

Did you notice in TCB after Tommy kissed his cheek, Adam had the print of lipstick on his cheek for the rest of the song!

@The Dark Side

Your comment is really concerning! You complain about the videos, then you talk about his weight (shallow much?), then you call your friends selfish for wanting to spend the holidays at home.

If that is the kind of attitude you have ALL THE TIME, it isn't terribly suprising that your friends wouldn't want to accompany you on a trip, especially if they knew you thought they were selfish.

You expressed more negativity in your post than anything else, and that's pretty disappointing to see from a Glambert.

Whether he's sporting additional lbs or not seems pretty irrelevant. He's such a brilliant entertainer, a master at his craft... yet a self-proclaimed fan can't think of a single nice thing to say after he has busted his ass performing yet ANOTHER show.

And whatever happened to gratitude? That's when you show appreciation for the kind gestures that OTHER people do that YOU reap benefits from. Might wanna work on that a bit.

What a great show. Thanks so much to everyone who shared their experience with us. Soaked almost brought me to tears, gah....could he be any more lovely? Such intense emotional expression, and reflected effortlessly in his voice. No screeching either! Japan you are wonderful! YES!

WWFM was funny too, love the fanning in the beginning! I couldn't be happier about Broken Open and FYE. He seems to have mastered FYE beautifully as it's such a vocally acrobatic song. I would have loved to see these tracks at the shows I attended, but regardless, I'm very happy to be seeing/hearing it now! He's truly one of a kind, I can't wait to see what comes about with his new album. The sky is the limit for him and I'm so proud to be a witness to the journey. ♥
