The only difference winning would have made is that Kris wouldn't have won the million dollars which he will need more than Adam ever will. Too bad Kris will be known more for the upset than his singing talent.

The question for today is "IS ADAM STILL SINGLE "and of course we'd ike to know who comprises the other half of the happy couple. It all seemed to come together in Bali. Come on ADAM tell us we want to celebrate with you !!

uhhh, I don't think the American Idol winner gets a million dollars, that's "America Has Talent" I think they just get a recording contract and help with their carreers, which is the same Adam got.

Winner got $375,000, 2nd place got $350,000 3rd place got $300,000. for their tour Adam got $375,000 up front, and after his concerts etc made that back, then he gets a % from the rest of his tour. I think he did pretty good for himself.

I hope he has the right peeps looking out for him (money-wise)......

I think that's where his mother Leila comes in.She is on the payroll too, as "estate Manager", and she heads up his "fan club".
Neil also is on payroll, as assistant to the tour manager, which is why you often see him in the background for interviews, part of his job.

Like this little blurb, and love the last line from sort of a comedic-but-yet-spot-on point of view (but feel badly for Kris a bit when these things pop up)... and I've posted before where I read on a blog somewhere, months and months ago, that "Adam Lambert didn't lose American Idol, American Idol lost Adam Lambert..." and I always thought there was sorta some poetic truth in that statement. Well, anyway, none of it really matters now I suppose, old news, onward and upward and all that...

I think AI knew the score judging by the fact that they had Adam back as a mentor. Very telling, in my opinion. (and an awesome thing to do) I'm sure they figured it would boost ratings, but still... :)

It was never a "secret" to begin with. Adam Lambert did not have to come "out" because he was never "in" the closet. In the Rolling Stone piece, he only stated what was obvious to anyone with half a brain. Adam has always lived his life openly and honestly. Maybe I'm just peevish today, but--Jeez--it gets under my skin when media/reporters can't make that distinction.

Sometimes I dare to think that it was kind of «fortunately», another blessing from God, that sweet Adam didn't win AI-8th. All that shocked, and bitter, and furious we fans experienced... Arrrghh! I'm still feel sick! «The Wrath of Glamberts»! But if sweet Adam had won AI-8th, I guess we wouldn't find and show so much strength, so much passion; probably sweet Adam wouldn't feel so well supported and loved... and confident! Maybe GNT would never get quite near this huge success we have seen over and over again every single venue, maybe sweet Adam would be just an American Idol instead of a worldwide Idol... maybe «It gets Better» wouldn't have him so helpful, maybe we would never feel so many times >-->-O and wishing to die over and over again, maybe we would have never known Master Angel Suz526 and her beautiful artistry with her Rolando, maybe we wouldn't be part of this Glamily in 24/7 «Paradise», maybe, maybe, maybe... Maybe I shouldn't be here thinking to myself out and loud... Ok, then! It's enough! Bring the hammer and the nails... maybe I deserve it!

I think there are no losers here. If anything, I am pretty sure Kris wishes that Adam won as well. He didn't vote for himself, and I am sure was not aware of the AT&T voting machines in his home state. However, it is now a done deal. Kris is going on to make his own career, as is Adam, and since they are both so musically different, can't see where there is any conflict. Certainly there is room for any number of people in the music business. Am sort of curious as to how the Season 9 winners will fare? Any predictions? Unfortunately, the economy still sucks!!!

I have seen at other sights Adam has been seeing his dancer, talor Green, off and on since last December. Have no idea if there is any truth 2 that.

Kris is opening for Lighthouse sometime in Nov. here in LA. BTW just read at mjs the other day from a woman in Arkansas that said that when idol was down to Kris and Adam, she came out of a Walmart and found a group putting flyers on everyones car that said, Dont Vote for the Non - Believer. Poor Adam, being gay and Jewish! Didnt stand a chance. LOL! Adamluv

I predict next to "nothing" for the season 9 winner. Not much more than that for the runner up. My predictions are that we will see some good stuff from "Casey James"!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

After Adam, all seems to pale in comparison. I don't think anyone can follow his act. No one has ever had the confidence and creativity of Adam. You could see the training and experience, but the voice and electricity he generated is unequaled. I wish Kris well. He shouldn't be blamed for winning. Even he knew Adam was deserving and said so. It's old news and so unimportant now. Adam clearly got what he wanted and more. He will go on to bigger and better things to come and Kris unfortunately IMHO will never rise to the heights of Adam. Look at what Adam has accomplished since Idol. He isn't an overnight success. Adam has more than paid his dues and knows what to expect in this business which is a tremendous advantage for his longevity. @ Adamluv, interesting info about the flyers. Guess I'm not surprised, but hadn't heard it before. Taylor is straight and just is a loyal friend to Adam as they all are. I'm sure Adam also appreciated Taylor coming to his aid in Fl, with that obnoxious paparazzi. He had dinner with Cheeks when last in L.A but don't think he's had the time or opportunity for any serious relationship. I don't think anyone really knows his personal business and I hope he will have time for a relationship now that the GNT is almost over. He has given alot of himself since Idol and is entitled to some good private time to live and reflect on these amazing travels and accomplishments. Kris' new (3rd) single "Alright with Me" is awesome, for anyone who's interested. My neice had it on her ipod and I of course had AFL on mine, so she turned me on to some Kris Allen, more than just what he'd released as singles, and I turned her onto some Adam Lambert more than just what he'd released as singles...maybe that's the way it should be. She's going to bring "Master Plan" to her dance teacher I think, to see if they can consider it for a recital hip hop piece or something... new teen fans maybe??? I hope so. But anyway, Kris' new single is really great, really fun IMHO, I love it. And yes, to those of you who might be reading and wondering, yes, my neice and I did transfer tunes on each other's ipods illegally basically - so yes, I am contributing to depriving Adam Lambert of trackable sales :(... lol! But just so you know, I did follow up our illegal ipod transferring session by buying her the physical cd, and it wasn't even her birthday :)!! Neither one of us has bought Kris' cd though... well hey, you can't win 'em all...maybe those "flyer-passer-outer" people can give Kris some more sales... ;)

Adam Lambert is 'Gay'? Well, there's news for you. Yes, beautifully gay and flamboyant and stunningly amazing! This is a real beautiful guy.

Thanks super-Glam-fans for all your support after my last rant!! Sorry - this fierce fandom is something absolutely new for me and I am constantly at risk of losing all sense of reason when it comes to Adam.

I certainly felt cheated when Adam didn't win the AI. And wanted to show the world that he is the true winner.

@The Dark Side, @MGF & @funbunn40 - i will have to agree with your comments about Kris. Adam has such high regard for his friend's musicality and has always acknowledged Kris as a very talented and respectable artist. I also kinda like that certain texture to his voice. Having said that, i still can't bring myself to like his type of music. It's simply not my cup of tea. I can't blame him for winning AIS8 cuz if the AT&T rumor was true, Kris had nothing to do with it. And i pity Kris that somehow the burden of proof is placed on him which puts him in a very awkward position. If i may, as an outsider looking in, i honestly believe that it was America who wasn't ready yet for a gay AI so it they couldn't make it happen. One doesn't have to be a rocket scientist to know who the real winner is. All one has to do is to listen with his heart & soul. There are so many things in this world that we can ignore and deny but never PURE TALENT & INTEGRITY! During and after the Manila GNT i heard people saying that Adam should have won. So i think it will take a while before this issue is completely forgotten. It is just like the ghost of AIS8 that shall keep on haunting it for quite some time. I am so thankful that Adam is not one to gloat considering his recent achievements in so short a time. Adam is so blessed now because of his passion and dedication to his craft. It is harvest time for him and what will bring him more success is his benevolent attitude in life. Still, i will have to credit AIS8 for providing Adam the platform that he needed then and for giving him that rare chance to fully exercise his creativity in all his performances. It has been one of the most pleasurable experiences i've ever had.
