Are you fuckin kiddin me? South Africa? Thats so cool. South Africa is a beautiful country. I am sure Adam will love it there.

I've never been there but have good friends who lived there and said it was fabulous. They live in US and said they would move back there in a minute if they could. It's apparently a gorgeous place with great people. So glad Adam will have this experience.

Never been to that part of the world too but my best friend stayed in South Africa for almost 6 months and said that it was the greatest experience of her life. People are warm and friendly who btw love to eat and aren't so dead conscious about their sizes. Most of all, South Africans have an excellent taste in music and love to party all night long. Read somewhere, several months ago that there is also a clamor for Adam to visit them so this is a fantastic message to all the Glamberts out there. Hoping and praying that this schedule really pushes through.

OMG South Africa...how amazing is that! ADAM hitting the entire world!!!! Just watched the MTV 2010 EMA awards from Madrid and although far exceeded the AMAs (which I won't be watching this year!),.. but where the bloody hell is ADAM?
I watched Kesha, Miley Cyrus, Katy Perry, GaGa, Rhianna, and heaps of others but why wasn't ADAM
there??? Not one artist could touch the brilliance of Mr Adam Lambert! Not one! I don't expect to understand the music industry but I do know the most talented performer in the world when I see him...and he would have rocked that place!... I know his flat out busting his butt with GN but he is in Europe right now ..... a flight away. ADAM LAMBERT IS A SUPERSTAR!!!!

Anon4:20, i dont know So. Africas position on gay rights but you might be thinking of Uganda. Last month a newspaper in that country published the names, photos and addresses of known gays which has led to death threats, etc. Gays said they have always lived in fear but it has become much worse since the visit a few months ago of 3 American individuals representing anti-gay groups. Read about this in the LA Times last Wed. Very sad. Adamluv

@ Adamluv
Wow! Your dogs have a nerosurgeon? I should have one but I can't afford it! LOL
Fan4fun

PS: Yes, their main language is English but with a very strong accent, indeed.

Anonymous said...

His voice is absolutely unbelievable in We Are The Champions! Freddy would have loved to hear Adam sing!

Fan4fun, When you have Pug dogs, you have to know of a good neurosurgeon since they are so prone to back problems. Actually, he is currently dealing with 3 of my dogs - 2 Pugs and a Chihuahua mix. but as I said above, a real hottie and so nice as well. I wish people doctors were as kind and considerate as he is! I am not sure this won't get me hate mail, but not sure Western Europe has had that much exposure to Adam. Are there Glamberts in Spain. Sure this will all change very quickly on his next world tour, but for now, think he is doing pretty good. Most of these artists have been out longer. Give him a chance. Going Anon tonight, scarrrrrrryyyyyyyyyyyy!

BEAUTIFUL ACCENT INDEED!! lOVE TO HEAR THEM TALK.
Enjoy Adam. Hell, are you ever going to bring this tour to an end? You are going to be too dead to make another CD and have it out by spring. We love you and hopefully give you strength to keep going. :)

There is a law for same-sex marriages in South Africa since apratheid was dismantled in 1993 so they are gay friendly.

Cape Town in South Africa in very gay friendly...and I would guess that if he is going to perform there, that is where he will go. Cape Town is a beautiful city and I think he will love it...I visited South Africa three years ago for a month, visited some friends in Johannesburg and also traveled to many different parts of the country as well...Cape Town was my favorite city but enjoyed the many faces of South Africa..They have made great strides since Apartheid ended in the early 1990's but are still sorting things out as a people and a country..There are so many amazing and beautiful people there and a wide range of ethnicities. and cultures..they have 11 official languages alone..but nearly everyone speaks English...love the "accent" .. truly would love to go back for another visit..Great poverty as well as wealth, many contrasts, a truly eye-opening experience..I think he has a lot of fans there, so I hope he will be going down there at some point..Until I visited there I had no idea what an experience was awaiting me..And @Adamluv, it is fortunately very different in its attitude to gays than Uganda...thankfully..I think gay marriage is allowed in South Africa (but not !00% sure so don't quote me!!)..

glitzylady said...

@Bing...looks like you confirmed my comment re gay marriage while I was writing!!! thanks!

Just wanted to mention that we had a driver on our visit to Cape Town who was a gay man, one who had been a police officer in Cape Town during Apartheid, and at that time could not reveal his orientation...and could not officially admit to having friends who were gay or non-white...he was very thankful that things have changed in South Africa so that he could be open about who he is and can be open about his friendships...Just a little example of how things have changed in a short period of time there, and why Adam will feel welcome in South Africa.....

Anonymous said...

@Adamluv - i'm so sorry didn't realize it was you asking about their stand on gay issues. That reply was meant for you :)

@glitzylady - i have a feeling that you must have seen the world :) and i'm so happy for you. There is just so much to learn when we visit other countries. I will never forget the stories of my best friend specially their safari to Swaziland, a neighboring country, but much of her time was spent in Johannesburg. She said that American artists do have a blast when they perform there.

Apartheid was the most repressive policy enforced in South Africa for almost 33 years that's why gay rights & issues were never discussed nor floated. Millions celebrated in 1994 when it was finally abolished by their new constitution. Thank God for Nelson Mandela, the world needs more people like him. Adam will definitely have one of the best times of his life in a country that is delightfully gay friendly.

GL,Adamluv, Bing, great info and so interesting to hear your experiences and knowledge of these interesting countries firsthand. Years ago we had penpals that broadened our horizons. I liked to hear from GLIOW,UK too. She gave us good info on weather problems when Adam was over there and a glimpse of the Isle of Wight. Where are you, GIOW,UK? Chezzasherbert too! funbunn40

He says 'HOPE' to see you soon, not that he's definitely going. I don't think anythings been announced yet.

Anonymous said...

Maybe the South African concert will be after the U.K. concerts and he'll be returning to the U.S. after that?

@Bing

I haven really travelled the world, but I have had some opportunities to travel a bit, here and there..Travel does indeed enrich one's life and opens our eyes to other cultures and ways of thinking..My trip to Africa was a once in a life time experience for me and I am very grateful to have done it...I think Adam does plan to go to South Africa at some point as he has mentioned it from time to time...and as I said, he will love it.

So many posters on Ytube from all over the world .. can ADAM truly go to ALL these places? South America is begging ADAM to bring his Glam tour there too ... Brazil, Peru, Chile ... so many fans begging ADAM to come there. Are other artists this sought after as ADAM!! Just think ... before January, 2009 .. WE didn't know who ADAM was .. now we have to share ADAM with the WORLD!! YESSSSS!!

@glitzylady - you are indeed a very lucky woman with a very supportive hubby. Not everyone is given the opportunity to travel because it entails a lot of time and resources unless it is work related. I had to let go of many chances to travel to Europe in the 90s because i was just newly married. My boss was involved with 2 international non-governmental organizations that held conventions/conferences he had to attend. I was supposed to assist him but i had to prioritize then. No regrets because i know that it will come at the right time.

Yes we are in agreement that it helps improve our perspectives and widen our horizons in life. We learn to be patient and appreciate the blessings that come our way. Getting exposed to other people's cultures and societies helps us understand more and embrace our differences. It certainly helps us grow more as human beings. It's nice to know a little about you glitzylady. Thanks for this :D

@tess4ADAM- wow that is some great news. Remember the fan video from his Russian fans, they are also waiting for him. In the thread Hit List - Top 15 Singles (NOV), GLb shared several links you might want to see. There is this Russian artist who is as flamboyant and campy as Adam. Now if that is the kind of music that is currently enjoyed in that part of the world, then there is a pretty good chance for Adam to make it big in Russia which GLb said is a huge market. It would be financially rewarding for our boy. I guess a little daydreaming here wouldn't hurt:)

tess4ADAM & to all his American fans thank you for sharing AFL with us.

Hmm, very short indeed, the epitomy of brevity. Find it kinda strange and wish I knew what the context was. Adam has lots of fans here in SA. FYE, WWFM & IIHY all charted on the various radio stations.

@Anon Nov 10 at 8:58AM - hi, wish you could tell us more as to how Adam is doing in South Africa. Thank you.
