Why wasn't Adam singing?

On dancing with the stars, they are not allowed to have the actual singer, they have their own band and singers.Actually I thought it was pretty good. All through the season, they have used their own singers.

What a great way to start the day!!!!! It goes without saying how much I love them using IIHY! wish Kyle could have won but OK with Jennifer winning. Over at mjs bigblog several people said they voted for the first time ever at DWTS because they were so upset about the results this year! I stopped watching several weeks ago because of that! Marilyn, they always have someone else sing the songs but I dont know why? Maybe for financial reasons? Adamluv

That didn't sound like Adam.

They did a pretty good job, and followed his arrangement closely. I was so surprised when the music started. This is a sign of stardom when your music is played in public forums. Go Adam!

Why does it say, "Adam Lambert's If I Had You." Ain't even close. Yuck.

Absolutely terrible. I hate this show so much. It's such a gong show. Great dance performances have been done to Adam's songs through other venues with people who actually know had to dance though.

Anytime Adam's songs get out there it's all good. Of course, I would have liked to hear Adam sing.
Off Topic: On Showbiz Tonight, they gave out 3 "turkey" awards: One to David Arquette, One to the Situation and one to Adam. Adam got the "award" for smoking pot on stage. The good news was when asked to comment, the two entertainment reporters basically said it was Adam's show and he was just being over-the-top as usual. But they both seemed to really like him and spoke of Adam in somewhat loving terms.
David Arquette won the biggest turkey award for mouthing off after his split with Courtney Cox.
No one seemed to like the situation. YAY!
Happy Thanksgiving!

I was just reading a few news headlines about the 'purple haze' smoking, and all of the comments written in are positive, I was expecting to see a few negatives, and oh my god, he's ruined his career type things, but nope, not one.

Whichever way we look at this as long as Adam's songs are heard means free publicity for him. It is much better than nothing. And it is one good way to familiarize people with his tunes. The mere fact that his materials are chosen over thousands of other songs is the best nod they can give to Adam. So it's a happy day ;-)

Thanks 24/7!

Bing - I agree with you completely! Isn't this the 2nd or 3rd time Adam's songs have been played on DWTS?? I know last season it was (awful) Kate who danced to "For Your Entertainment"? Like you said, it's great exposure and free publicity for Adam! Don't see any other Idol star's (?) music being played?? Good for Adam! His music is reaching the multitudes! Go Adam!

But does anyone know it´s Adams music? They don´t give him cred.

OT: About the 13 year old screamer on Soaked. Neil video taped her apparently. Eber (who I really has come to appreciate) tweeted this:

@negativeneil Video of Screamhilda was hilarious. Explains the ban on bringing in pillows and chloroform.

Rolando is a DIVA, since he met Adam, and Adam held him in his hands...so Suz has said anyway......

In the last week, I heard IF I Had You on DWTS, on one of NFL Football games they had Adam singing Sure Fire Winners, one of the cable news stations played WYWFM going to commercial break.

It's okay Eva even if they didn't credit Adam for the song. Those already familiar with IIHY will talk about it being used in DWTS which is good while those who are not will normally ask who the original artist is hearing a new song. That will arouse curiosity and interest again for Adam. There are only a few US radio stations that are friendly to him and getting his songs heard is still a problem. So this is one step forward that's why all in all it's still good ;-)

And btw Eva thank you so much for the links that you've been sharing with us.

I think it was great to hear "If I Had You" on DWTS twice, especially during the Finale. Millions more viewers this Finale than any since Season 4. That's great exposure for Adam.

I saw it and was so glad as Adam is getting some media exposure as a result of these shows and iceskating, funbunn40
