The people of the UK are crying out for Adam Lambert.

It’s no secret that Adam’s UK fans believe he is under promoted here, and the fact that someone so talented is still unknown by so many people means something is going wrong somewhere.

We recently asked our readers who they would like to see perform on the X Factor results shows this year and we were overwhelmed by the number of comments crying out for Adam to perform on the hit ITV show while he is over here on tour.

Fans feel that a great opportunity to get Adam’s name out there was missed during the first live show of the series, when Simon Cowell spoke about Adam, but failed to mention his name.

It was contestant Aiden Grimshaw’s performance of Mad World that reminded Simon of Adam’s performance of the track on American Idol.

After Aiden’s performance, Simon said: “Interestingly, this is the second time I’ve sat on one of these shows and been blown away by that song. It happened once in America and it’s just happened again tonight.”

If they are crying out for Adam, then they should pick some bigger venues. Shepherds Bush only holds 500 people.

I hope someone lets him know about being on the x factor! That would be some good promotion!

One can never predict what Simon will do. Not sure he wants anything to do with Idol or anyone connected to Idol. There must be a reason they are holding back on promoting Adam in the UK, and I wonder how much influence Simon has in this. My other thought is that Adam is such a powerful performer and presence, he takes a lot of veneer off the locals performing. Something tells me Simon would not want Adam out shining his X Factor contestants.

Shepherds Bush is just outside of the Westend
of London.

ALL Glam Nation tour venues in UK are sold out! So someone over there likes him.

Why the SMALL venue sizes -- 500 people?

Adam has proved worldwide now he can PACK them in! Adam sooooooo deserves to be on X Factor - he will motivate the contestants on the show to be the BEST they can be!!

Come on Simon, this is the LEAST you could do to help promote Adam!!

May be Simon is still sulking because Adam didn't get first place, after Simon was so sure he would. It didn't look good for Simon. Also There may be a slight problem between Simon and Adams management 19 or RCA. I know Adam has no say in it. Adam would sing anywhere, even the subway bathroom, cuz he lurvs to sing.

I hate Susan Boyles music too, anon 2:49. :)

FYI, Susan Boyle is going to sing for the Queen of UK. Prince Harry really likes Adam, was wondering if he would get a chance to see a performance. It's hard for the prince's to get away, they are both in the service, and treated just like anyone else.

By the way, that pic was taken in Helsinki.

Yea, I don't get the small Venues... Hell, more than 500 cattle can eat from one truogh! I can get that many people in my front yard. Don't make any sense to me to put out so much money and energy on these small venues.. my2cents

u are so right. 500 people????I saw Adam in Royal Oak, Michigan, (1500 people) which sold out in a matter of hours. He can easily sell out a much larger venue!

I think Simon Cowell has a great influence in UK and I assume that's why Adam isn't well known over there. One of the prince is making huge investment for the US XFactor. Because of Cowell's rival Simon Fuller I don't think Adam will perform on UK XFactor. I also think Adam has his own concert at the time when the UK XFactor result show is broadcasting. Unless they do a pre-tape performance.

Read this very informative article about both Simons: http://www.dailymail.co.uk/tvshowbiz/article-1325208/Simon-Fuller-Cowell-gear-biggest-battle-egos-TV-seen.html

I am going to Shepherds Bush, London show. Its an old famous theatre and still has many pop groups performing there. It holds 1,500 people apprx. I agree with comments as to why Adam isn't promoted over there. My sister lives in London and her daughter said she never hears Adams songs played on Radio 1 or 2. These two radio stations are the biggest in England and everyone wants their records played on them. I really do think there is a serious agenda being played out. The truth will come out in the end.

Anon 12.40pm Thats not correct. I've been to lots of gigs at Shepherds Bush Empire and the capacity is around 2000. Its a great venue. Lots of very credible artists play there. Adam hasnt had any chart success here in the UK yet so i think even playing venues like this is a good start for him.

According to Wikipedia, Katy Perry, Taylor Swift and Lil Bieber have all played at Shepherds Bush Empire.

how do you get chart success in a country that refuses to play your songs on their main radio stations. I know Adam's British fans did their best to try to call these stations to promote him but from what I read they basically said "we are not interested". Its too bad because thousands of people are being deprived of a wonderful artist.

Shepherd's Bush Empire one of the most prestige venue in London. The capacity of Shepherd's Bush Empire is 2,000 people. You'll find it in Wikipedia. Yes, they said that for London it isn't very big capacity building but one of the most historically famous. All tickets on Adam concert were sold!

Do you remember an article about a Glambert in Daily Herald. The comments were hilarious, since the british didn't understand that kind of fan devotion. I think the psychiatric rules in my country are in line with the British psychiatry, so must be careful xD

well said................Adam will dominate everyone in U.K Bravo Adam you are so talented that's why mostly haters are afraid to face you ha!ha!ha! You are so powerful my dear.

Watch out U.K. listen to the fans He!he!he!

5:20, the British "don't understand that kind of devotion"? Um, I seem to remember fans at Heathrow Airport screaming louder than jet engines, more fans swarming the streets, endless repetitions of beloved songs over and over. It was called Beatlemania...

Anonymous said...

Well, it could have been obsession too.

Do i smell some discrimination here simply because Adam doesn't have a single drop of royalty in his blood?

I think its the Birmingham and Manchester venues that are really small, not the london one.

Adam sure showed them how it's done on this year's Australian X Factor. :)

Sort of on-topic... I hope Nigel Lythgoe, who seems to be a fierce businessman, chooses to see the obvious (in terms of his role at US AI this year) and books Lambert on AI10 in some capacity; doesn't have to be as mentor, but in some capacity. New judges will pull back lost viewers sure (I have to admit it will pull me back) but a Lambert appearance will only secure ratings further for that given week, it's a win/win, hope a Lambert appearance happens. Those of you on twitter, tweet Lythgoe will 'ya?! He's a twitter guy for sure.

@Anon 8:27
What is Nigel's twitter account? I'll tweet him.
I believe that anything (even the smallest thing) that can help promote Adam is worth to try.
