hey guys so random question. my school is performing a show called the laramie project, and i bet you can guess who is coming? the Westburrugh baptist church!!i know its crazy, stupid, and pathetic. I remembered that they went to Adam's concert so i really want to protest against them with my fellow classmates. Does anyone remember the signs people made in response to them? I still can't believe they are coming to my school, do they not have anything better to do? anyway hopefully you guys can give me some ideas. thanks :)

So happy that Randy went to the final GNT, sort of representing AI. It is more validation, not that his fans need any, but still nice.

Aww! Yo Randy‼ *sorry just wanna say that*
That's so nice of Randy to attend 2 LA GN shows and acknowledge it via twitter how amazing the show was!... thanks Dowg‼ :)

1:22 - I'm sorry to hear that >.<

1:22 I guess you could always picket them with protest signs

Randy Jackson has toured and performed with some of the greatest singers in music. I think he has always been a fan of Adam and his talent. Paula is a big Adam supporter as well.

I hope that some of the people who were negative on Randy last night will come back on and restate. Randy has seen Adam's talent and appeal since that very 1st audition and he knows more about the music industry than anyone else who has ever showed up on that panel. That is SO cool that he went to both shows and LIKED what he saw BOTH nights!! That's our Randy-DAWG-cool-MAN!!!

I do think Randy was there in some sort of way related to The Canyons

Anonymous said...

I think Randy was the first the recognize the importance of Adam, and he was always a supporter. Unlike Simon, Randy is current and understands pop music.

Anonymous said...

It's so cool that Randy still supports Adam :)

@colorforadam : Why were there people being negative on Randy? Anything happened last night?

Anonymous said...

It is always good to see Randy. I enjoyed him on Adam's E!THS and the tweet about The Canyons and Adam.He recognized Adam's talent right off.It will be fun to watch the new American Idol this year.

Anonymous said...

Yes, he was there. I saw him from a distance. The Canyons sounded fabulous. I couldn't find their album on iTunes. Does anyone know if they have any albums out on all the songs they performed? I might check them out at Molly Malones here in L.A. What a night it was! I'm still on cloud 9. Listened to Acoustic cd a lot today.

I was there last night too! It was amazing! Leila (Adam's mom) was right in front of us but didn't see Eber. Guess they didn't sit together like they had the night before. Glad Randy paid tribute to Adam. I felt so privileged to be there on Adam's very last night of this tour - he gave it his all .. of course. And I loved the pyrotechnics right at the end of IFHY - an appropriate tribute to Adam's amazing tour.

Where was Paula?

First of all, it is terrific that your school is performing the Laramie Project! Here are a few more ideas:

God hates Figs
God is Love / Hate is Stupid
Dorothy left Kansas for a Reason
Pastor Phelps leaves a bad taste in my mouth
Dogs love fags ( sign on a dog)
God hates parents who teach bigotry to their children ( standing next to a child holding a hate sign)

This is a sign I would carry:

Love is all there is (Beatles)
Love thy neighbor (Jesus)
Love has no orientation ( A. Lambert)
Life is a song: Sing it!

Good to see Randy here. Imagine on the new AI season, Randy will comment, "dude, didn't you watch Adam Lambert live concert, if not check it on the Youtube." HaHa!!!

Anonymous said...

@5.40
I was one of those that commented yesterday that I was disappointed that Randy hadn't said anything about being at Adams concert. And to be honest, I still stand by that. It would have looked better had he 'twittered' straight after the concert, but he only mentioned The Canyons, and he's put them first on this twitter, whereas Adam should have been first (IMO) and judging by several of his previous messages, it was The Canyons he was there for.
But at least he went, which it seems is more than the other judges did.

I always felt that Randy was very supportive of Adam and was glad to see that he tweeted that he enjoyed the concerts. Doesn't matter to me what time he tweeted or who he put first. I thought Paula would have been there but perhaps she busy with her TV show.

Anonymous said...

It warmed my heart to see that Randy went to both concerts, regardless of when he tweeted what.

I wish so much that Paula had gone. She was the one who said she would be at Adam's concerts front and center, and I haven't heard that she's been to any?

Add to signs for Westboro protest...LOVE AND LIGHT.....of course...go on twitter and try to find more protesters..the more the better

BTY..Yahoo didn't report much about the Westboro protestors at Elizabeth Edwards funeral...but thet sure as hell made sure they reported when Adam and Lady GaGa had protestors....
is this like some sort of media bullying....

Anonymous said...

Maybe because it was a government "thing" and they made the ruling that Westboro could protest funeral if they stayed a number of feet away.....

Good to see Randy was there. I know he is producing(?)The Canyons, so that's where his first interests lie. He is an Adam fan, though. He was from the beginning. I'm glad to see Adam doing well in sales and in the polls, BUT I'm hoping we'll see him on some shows before the Grammys. It still seems like the media pays little attention to him. His future success requires more than just us die-hard Adam lovers. Seems like lots of lesser talented celebs get lots of talk show time, etc. I wish we'd see him on some mainstream shows and get the viewers to enjoy him as a witty, articulate guest.

Anonymous said...

Anon 2:59, "His future success requires more than just die-hard Adam lovers.." Now, these are words of wisdom. It seems though that Adams main interest is his royal court of about 2000+ fans, who can do a lot of traveling. Why the hell did he even do any promo touring?

Anonymous said...

i know you will hate me for this... he's stamina, voice, etc are great. maybe randy is right to put him 2nd on his twitter; i just wish he was not gross (e.g. Purple Haze video w/ the mic, ewe, i could not stomach or watch it) and had potty mouth. he's starting to brag, he's not won the Grammy yet... gay or not, if ur a public persona, u have obligation to be decent.

don't worry guys, i bought several copies of his cds. i'm just getting more disappointed as he become famous and more confident.

Anonymous said...

Anon @ 5:23 P.M., I prefer to call them Adamantics! I know sometimes it can be a little upsetting to watch but we have to remember he is performing in front of a paying audience and we are watching a fan's video which is not necessarily meant for the general public.

I'll always support him and too have made several purchases of various items.

I meant Anon @ 5:43 PM.

I bet you that Randy ask Adam if the Canyons could open for him. Adam say no to his best friend I think not. It worked for everyone and in a positive way. Adam is so unselfish about other entertainers...and so supportive. Hey it may be a little politics going on;but in this case everyone wins and we got to see a great moment when They sang together and that was a deep connection of love and respect! What a great story! I want more of Adam with others singing because he really "cooks" when he does that. Hey 5:43pm I am kinda with you on the rounchy stuff too. I really don't like that either. I see a bit of change too;I think the media kinda has put him on the defense a bit. His Mom may chat with him about it..it will work itself out for the most part I think. I do not think he is boastful though however I see a bit of a rebel at times. He has so much coming at him at one time; working on his music may clear his head and he will reflect a bit. One can only hope it will be all good! Nobody will hate you..you are entitled to your opinions and concerns. The swearing and crap is why I do not like rap music it can be down right disrespectful at times.

Adam has chosen his path to be a OTT pop star. He just try his best to outstanding himself to reserve a better spot in the music industry in his way. I thought he has comprised in the beginning when he has that photo taken with the female nude model. Now I can see he insist and maintain his integrity of being himself which not necessary the music industry want him to be. He is in a league of his own and this is the reason he capture the heart of many of his fans. He does not own you anything.
If you watch carefully with his performances on the last two concerts, his vocal, his dancer and his band were in top form, collaborated with each other flawlessly. In his encore, he just let himself out after being rejected for so many years (think about his talent). He felt he could spell out his feeling the first time in front of his family, friends and fans that trust him and to those will not question him whatever he do. I hope more American fans will embrace him as much as his international fans.
Love from Asia.

He likes to annoy others and please the others and that makes it so disgusting.

Anonymous said...

He's got more and more into this sexually charged stage act now that I don't know if he enjoys the TV or JB type of performances anymore.

Anonymous said...

When Adam performed like this in Europe, he was praised as pop/rock entertainer frontier. Part of the world evolves much faster than US.

Anonymous said...

Was Adam praised in Germany and Holland? I live in Europe but I must have missed it..

Anonymous said...

I too see a bit more of a rebel and being boastful. Hope it's not his undoing..

Anonymous said...

Well, his sexually charged stage act only happen in Encore, but you may see the whole concert as sexually charges and I have nothing else to say.

Anonymous said...

Check the French press and I don't think he tour in Holland.

Anonymous said...

On stage, Adam performs and does sexual antics because the fans scream and go crazy when he does. He does this for the fans!!!

Anonymous said...

I loved the US GNT tour, but I prefer the Philly JB to these last two shows.

Anonymous said...

Adam is going internationally. US is not an easy place for him to reach his fullest in his artistry. Let him go.

Just because he mentions to the audience that he got a Grammy nomination doesn't mean that he's boasting. It means that he's proud that his hard work paid off. He is not acting as if he already won a Grammy, for Pete's sake. If he doesn't win, he'll still be proud of the fact that he was nominated. As for his acceptance as a performer, some of us like him real sexy and some of us don't. (I personally like him REALLY SEXY.) I hope he can choose his venues and do what's appropriate at each one. I sure don't want him to stop being really sexy when a particular audience really wants him to be. His sexual persona is such an important part of him. He shouldn't have to stop being that way altogether. I want him to draw the largest fan base he can by doing anthing he can to get it. This means sometimes sexy and sometimes not so sexy. Bottom line.

Anonymous said...

He was trying to be sexy in these last two shows, that's not the same as being sexy.

Anonymous said...

Adam should be proud that he has received an Grammy nom. I agree with above poster. This is HUGE! Nothing wrong with mentioning it. As far as the sexiness, he has said he does it because the fans react so positively to it no matter what country. He has a huge fan base here in the US as well as all over the world. We all love him no matter his sexuality. He oozes sex appeal, and that is so attractive, but I too worry that will not help in getting him more media/television/awards. Who knows though? Elvis was a rebel in his time. I never did like Michael Jackson's crotch grabbing, but he was a superstar. Time will tell.

"He likes to annoy others and please the others and that makes it so disgusting."

I guess you belong to the "others" who are annoyed. But why would it disgust you that he pleases the other "others"?

I seriously doubt if there is anyone here who has a full account of Adam's struggles in life. I could just imagine what he has gone through proving his worth in countless auditions or even when he had landed a job already. It must have been the most difficult period of his life. And now that he got his validation from no less than the Grammys, i won't take it against him if he brags a little. He must feel extremely honored by it and couldn't contain his excitement and i don't see anything wrong with it. There are many reasons for Adam to be celebratory because this is the first time it happened to a newbie who is openly gay. It was announced as he was about to end his undeniably successful GNT. Adam witnessed for himself how well he is embraced internationally. Most of all he must feel victorious because his talent & artistry prevailed despite the seemingly concerted effort from a certain group who will grab at any chance to dismiss him & put him down. Well it is pretty obvious that he is being bullied up to now. There are great reasons for Adam to celebrate and i will give that to him. I know in my heart that he isn't one to gloat because he wasn't brought up that way.IIn fact, i don't see any malice with the way he honestly expresses his feelings JMHO.

well said, and I agree with you. I couldn't believe the way this thread turned, its the first time on this site that reading comments really got me mad, couldn't believe where all those comments suddenly sprung from, although they're all written in the same way, so maybe its all the same sad person. Anyway, decided they were'nt worth replying to.

I am late with this comment so it most likely will not be read by anyone but I just have to say something...I was at Adam's final two concerts in LA and they were absolutely joyous and fun-filled occasions, and I was so happy and proud to be there, supporting Adam, because although of course I was there because I love to see his live performances and was lucky enough to be able to go in the first place, I have also felt a need to support him in his career, because of the negativity that seems to follow him wherever he goes and and whatever he does or says. For some posters here to take one passing comment of Adam's, the one that he mentioned that WWFM has been nominated for a Grammy, something he is undoubtedly amazed and proud of at the same time, and turn it into something negative, "boastful", and somehow inappropriate, is bringing tears to my eyes, but not in a good way...Just imagine how he must feel inside..just barely two years ago he was a chorus boy in Wicked.. Now, he has a Grammy nomination, sort of out of the blue, and was nominated alongside some other deserving singers, in fact one who is legendary (Michael Jackson) and who is one of Adam's inspirations. What the heck is wrong with him being just slightly proud to say he has been given this nod from the music community???? Unlike some of you (apparently...), I was so excited that he was able to even SAY that, and he only mentioned it at the Music Box, a venue that has a special place in his heart, and I'm sure felt that he was among friends (which he definitely was..), something he should feel safe to be quoted about here in this blog as well...But NO, he is being criticized by a few here for mentioning his success. We all feel frustrated from time to time and complain about his lack of recognition out there in the "real world" and then when he is honored by the Grammy committee, some of you think he should not even be proud of that fact???? ...I am deeply saddened by the tone of this thread in some respects. I know that most of his fans are just thrilled for Adam and are celebrating along WITH him, not finding yet another way to tear him down and pick him apart..I for one am so happy that Adam feels that he can be proud of himself and talk about it in public. He was at a concert, surrounded by friends, family, and fans..not on CNN, although I would love him to be able to talk about his Grammy nom on CNN too. Sorry..Its just very difficult to have just returned from Adam's final two triumphant tour concerts in LA to read such pettiness.

@Glitzylady - thank you, "spoken like a true lady"! I am always in aww when reading your wise, kind, thought out comments! Just hope you had posted this on some newer thread nearer to the latest news, cause so many "ill mannered" peeps should read this (although I'm a bit sceptic, is there anything to be done on trolls and/or other naysayers, whose only twisted mission here seems to be to spoil, ruin and destroy...)
@Bing, @HK Fan - love your posts, too!

Thanks.. : ) I will keep that in mind..I have a feeling I'll have another opportunity to cut and paste my above comment about some other little petty thing... Sheesh..Adam is the poster boy for positivity and I think it would be nice if we could reflect that attitude, especially about something as wonderful as his Grammy nomination. Why anyone would think it is wrong for him to be proud of that is just beyond my comprehension. Unbelievable......
