Adam Lambert is Hollywood News' “Hollywood Celebrity of the Year”

Hollywoodnews.com: Forget about winning “American Idol.” The show’s runners-up often have better careers.
For every winner like Carrie Underwood or Kelly Clarkson, there is a major talent in the pop show’s No. 2 slot who goes on to meet – or surpass – the singer who beat them out. We’re talking about runners-up like Clay Aiken, Katharine McPhee and, of course, our “Hollywood Celebrity of the Year” … Adam Lambert.
Lambert was destined for fame. He just happened to find it in 2010. Sure, his debut album, “For Your Entertainment,” hit streets late in 2009.
But it was his worldwide “Glam Nation Tour” and consistent airplay for singles like “Whataya Want From Me,” “If I Had You” and the album’s title track that kept Lambert on our radars all year.
And it’s his immeasurable talent (and undeniable flair) that should keep him front and center as 2011 roars in. Lambert’s musicianship has made him a pop-culture sensation. His album peaked at No. 3 on U.S. Billboard 200 while climbing international ranks. We can’t wait to hear his follow up. Until then, Adam Lambert will have to be content being our “Hollywood Celebrity of the Year.” Congratulations!

Great news, but, geez, why that picture? My least favorite get-up of his all year! Please showcase a better picture of our boy!!
I have read their articles and commented on them all year. Glad to see this title to the Glam One. Look forward to reading their stories this year too.

Surprised though no mention of his GRAMMY nomination... but I'll sure take the rest.
MJ was a great, synchronized, choreographed performer, **but not since ELVIS has there been such an amazing star with such POWERHOUSE attraction, sex apeal, and an ability to reach right reach into your SOUL with his touching song delivery and beautifully pure, unequaled voice.
This man NEEDS to sing 'SOAKED'... LIVE on national tv. Those still in the dark or in doubt about Adam NEED to hear this beautiful Angelic voice soar...
2010 was great... here's to 2011 and WWWAAAYYY beyond with Adam's star rising OVER the top, like he is, where he should stay. =)

p.s can all of you on twitter please send a message to Adam and tell him to send more messages, and/or a photo or 2 to keep us going. Its been far too long since we've seen his beautiful face..

2010 was all about the Lamb! 2011 should be a stellar year for the glittery one! Sophomore album sales should go through the roof! The Glam God should remake "Smoking in the Boys Room" because it would rock!
I'm not complaining at all. What ever picture they put or show Adam is a showman people. He is the true genius in music industry.

I believe the picture was from the Mardi Gras (SPELLING?) held in Australia on March 6th where he sang like at 8 in the morning as LP said above.
ADAM is an amazing singer and entertainer,the likes of which I haven't seen before... I believe he will be iconic. IMO we have just seen a bit of that unbelievable talent. I think Adam may reveal one layer at a time,for years to come, to keep us all fascinated and enthralled!
Why are people complaining about that picture? It's hot.
I read this article yesterday when I Google news about Adam. The picture was different (it was picture of Adam in Canada) and they attached IIHY and WWFM videos. You can Google news about Adam Lambert and enjoy the Picture of Adam And the Article:)
I found that Hollywood News posted three or four articles about Adam. This is great! Anyway, this is really strange that this picture appeares on 24/7 version of Hollywood News' article.

I agree with you, Mr.Cel, that photo is hot. And that costume was such a trip -- makes me chuckle every time I see it. One day he's rockin' a spiked leather codpiece at Sydney's Mardi Gras, and the next he is singing a stripped-down version of WWFM on Australian television dressed in street clothes and wearing minimal makeup. What a great juxtaposition!

We didn't say that there was anything 'wrong' with the picture, just that it wasn't our favourite outfit on him...

The COSTUME was perfect for the event - no one is better at knowing what will make a lasting impression on a certain audience. We all have our favorites, it's true. Maybe this one was good because the point of the article is that there is life after American Idol and he certainly looks like he has graduated from kindergarten ..... ADA_YUMMMMM!!
Think this was in Australia at their Madri Gras Celebration. He made a big spash with that outfit and singing FYE. That Cod piece went viral on the net for a short while. Who else but Adam would wear a studded cod piece??? Gotta love all that daring do!!! Bring your eyes up, yes, that's it eyes up towards his face.

Oh...now I get the "........flowers" comment.
Anyway, I am thrilled that Adam is taking off "Like a Rocket Ship" at the beginning of 2011...and so happy to hear such good news, for that matter, just plain NEWS! Since the LA concerts and the tour ended..its been a bit a bit scarce...so this is fantastic!
And I have to say, that outfit was fine with me...a bit outrageous...but that's Adam!
He should have worn THIS when he sang with KISS...

Adam is sensational that's why they put this to talk about. That is what he is people the Alpha Man.................Gorgeous and exciting my gosh love him. How much more if he is topless in the picture??????????????? OMG that will be the greatest ever Ooooooooooops just carried away folks!!!!!!!!!!
