Best Loved Topics on Social Media in 2010

NEW YORK, NY--(Marketwire - January 5, 2011) - Adam Lambert has emerged as the best loved topic in social media for 2010, according to Amplicate's annual review of public opinions expressed on social media.
Throughout 2010, hundreds of millions of people expressed their thoughts publicly to their friends and followers across Twitter and Facebook. Amplicate monitors and collates what people say they love or hate, and over 50 million public opinions of adoration or disgust were made on thousands of specific topics. These have been collated to create the Best Loved on Social Media 2010 Trends (http://amplicate.com/annual-review/2010-loved-hated-topics-from-social-media/)
Among the overall top ten best loved topics were also Taylor Lautner, Katy Perry and Ice Cream. Brazil took the place for the favourite country and Family Guy and True Blood were the most loved TV series.
On the other hand, prime place in the hall of shame was taken by spiders and hospitals, but brands such as Comcast and T-Mobile also got a mention in the much-anticipated 'Most Hated' of 2010.
Compared to Twitter's own year in review (http://yearinreview.twitter.com/trends/) Amplicate shows not only what people talk about, but what people most love and hate. For example, Justin Bieber is the most talked about person on Twitter, however he is only the 8th most loved person according to Amplicate. The MTV Music Awards and Pretty Little Liars were also the most discussed television shows on Twitter, however neither are among the best loved, proving that discussion doesn't always generate actual favour.
Being unsolicited, uncensored and encompassing the complete year of 2010, this is the most comprehensive analysis of public sentiment for the year that was.

Of course I'm vibrating of joy here, in my such a small and salted spot in the ocean! Wow! Someone could believe there is an earthquake coming... Positive vibration! What a shame that at times the vibration is soooo negative (sad and long sigh!)
Some of you here above ask «how can anyone not to love him?» Oh, that's easy to answer, piece of cake: they don't know him in fact, never payed the deserved attention to him, or never really listened to him, or were/are too busy following utopias and didn't see the REAL LIGHT, or if you prefer, 'one is so busy following ants that can't see the elephant', as simple as that!
My question is another one, and a more difficult one: «HOW CAN ANYONE WHO IS SUPPOSED TO KNOW WELL SWEET ADAM, ONCE HAS BEEN FOLLOWING HIM WHEREVER HE GOES, WHATEVER HE DOES, FOR OVER ONE AND A HALF YEAR, HAVING PUBLICLY CONFESSED THE GREAT LOVE THAT DEDICATES TO HIM AND WHY FEELS SO HAPPY TO BE HIS FAN, SUDDENLY...(Záááaaaz! Puffff!!!!) STARTS SEEING EVERYTHING HE DID OR SAID FROM ANOTHER ANGLE, STARTS MAKING COMPARISONS AND DIFFERENT POINTS HERE AND THERE, SEARCHING FOR HORNS IN A HORSE HEAD (my mother always said so, haha!) AND ONE DAY JUST OPEN THE HEART'S DOOR AND LET ALL 'THE WHOLE LOTTA LOVE', THAT ENOURMOUS AND SWEET LOVE, THAT REAL LIGHT... GO ?????» (sad and longer sigh!!!).
I myself wouldn't make to live in darkness again (...and, hey! I wanna LIVE! Don't you?)

To be the BEST LOVED TOPIC IN SOCIAL MEDIA FOR 2010 where he is No.1 in the list of the MOST LOVED PEOPLE (MJ is No.5, Justin B is No.8 & Taylor S is No.10) thrills me to no end. This has everything to do with how Adam has been touching people's lives which to me is more significant than any of the awards given out there. His social impact has improved perspectives in life in indescribable ways and has challenged the status quo. But most of all Adam is the vocal masterclass that the world has been waiting for and he has undoubtedly brought his ardent global fans so much joy with his brand of entertainment. @GGD Gal JAN.6 at 5:23PM - just saw your post my dear, been too busy lately and there's so much going here LOL! Shhhhh there's no secret cuz that's really his effect on me ;-) Adam has that rare ability to bring out the best in people and that is what is exactly happening to many of us. He has been stimulating our good sides and it is pretty obvious in this site.
I have no regrets joining this one big happy family that we have here, celebrating our diversities as you said. It truly makes life more exciting compared to having to agree all the time, kinda boring right ;-( The mental exercises here keeps the thrill and helps us understand each others personalities/uniqeness and i'm enjoying every minute of it. Our disagreements bothers me the least, it rather adds spice to 24/7 and shows that we aren't blind followers.
Adam has truly been a blessing in my life. I will never forget the first day i saw him sing and i will forever be thankful no matter what.
