3. He Knows How to Pick 'Em: Muse's version of Nina Simone's "Feelin' Good" was voted the greatest cover song of all time by readers of British music mag NME. Adam Lambert, whose falsetto howl is reminiscent of Bellamy's at times, performed the Muse version on American Idol to rave reviews during Rat Pack week. Bellamy, in turn, penned "Soaked" for Lambert's debut album, For Your Entertainment.

Just loved, and still do, the way he strutted down those stairs in all his glory!!!!! The audience and Paula really liked it too. And just think, this was the week he was in the bottom 3 ?????????

First of all, congrats to Matt & Kate...yaaay‼ :)
Wow‼ now I really wish they would make a DVD compilation of all of Adam's AI performances. It would sell like pancakes... js

Yeeeaaah baby, Strut them stairs...
Simon -"Well that was the best entrance we've ever had"...

Loved this. GREAT vocal control. Amazing, and wasn't this the lowest rated of all his AI performances? Wasn't he in the bottom 3 after this? Bah, think that was just the show's powers that be, trying to stir up controversy and interest.

God. Damn. Only someone with class and creativity - and the balls to pull the whole thing off - could've done that number. Well, and THE VOICE, as well. That person is Adam.

Have you looked in a dictionary lately? I just looked up the word "fierce" and I'll be damned if there wasn't a little thumbnail shot of Adam next to it!

Thank you for this look back...totally gave me chills, and made me appreciate his talent all over again. Astounding.

Well thanks so much for this thread 24/7 because i ended up watching all his AI performances all over again but before i did that, i had to watch this Feeling Good video around 7 times haha! I can't say that this is my favorite because that would be difficult to do since each performance was truly special and spectacular. But for FG i'd say it was a stunning!

Only a vocal genius like Adam can pull off an interpretation as astounding as that one. Watching this gave me chills and i'm smitten once more by our dearest Adam!

Thanks so much 24/7 ;-)

Yeah, sweet Adam... I'M FEELING GOOD too, once I can wake up looking at your beauty, listening to your voice of angel! Just look at you gives me all the «serenity» I need for a good day, I don't have to go to Bora Bora.... Ha!

If they ever have an AI Greatest Hits....we know who number 1 will be......it's not just 1 show...he just kept blowing us away...I love watching these videos......

Bottom 3 performance, so what!. If we didn't see the voting as meaningless after that, we shouldn't have been surprised at him coming in behind what's-his-name in the final. I still think back to when Daughtry should have been #1 in his season of AI.

Excellence is excellence and that's Adam.

I wish 'they' would market a store bought CD of all his AI songs, too.

Not to brag but I bought every performance and studio recording of Adams AI journey. During the AI8 season ITunes would have each contestants performances and studio recordings for sale.
Don't think they still offer it but they should there are a lot more Adam fans that didn't know him from AI.

I nabbed those AI8 studio recordings from iTunes too IreneRose, and thank goodness I did, cuz yes, I believe they are not obtainable anymore, as downloads from iTunes. I actually like the audio from the live show performances better in many instances, but it's awesome to be able to listen to the studio recordings on my iTouch any time I want, in a "portable" fashion. It really truly is stunning what AML did on that show, that little body of work unto itself is incredible. Fox Reality Channel rebroadcast AI8 last year and I also recorded tons of the actual AI8 footage too, unfortunately did it on old fashioned VHS, but still, I'm glad I did! This Feeling Good is one of my favorites too... and I think his being in the bottom 3 that week was one of those instances where people think to themselves - oh he'll get through no problem without my vote, I'm tired I'm going to bed, I don't feel like struggling to get through etc etc...

Well anyway, old news, and it's onward and upward for AML, but I know that the brilliant AI8 collection of performances/recordings is something I will never dismiss from my mind or AML music library even as I continue to devour any and all new stuff he'll put out.

I love watching all Adam's AI performances. They are all so stunning-what a shining star!!!!!It's hard to realize without Adam being on AI, the world might never even know who Adam Lambert is. For that reason, I will be forever grateful for AI. Adam had the foresight to know he needed a platform to get himself out there to show the world what he could do. Thank goodness Adam is also very intelligent and the world now knows his amazing talent. If I ever feel down, all I have to do is watch Adam's old performances on AI and I'M FEELING GOOD!!!!!!!!or as Paula said, BETTER THAN GOOD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I too bought Adam's AI performances! The only other song I wish I could buy is his AI Tour song "Starlight". I have the acoustic version from his television appearance on Good morning America, but I want the tour version!!!! Anyone else love his cover of this song as much as I do? Am I the only one?

Just curious. Post said five things to know about Muse, but saw only one. See where Kate Hudson found another musician. Guess giving up on athletes--rockers are a better choice anyway.

You have to click on 'source' to read the other 4, 24/7 only printed the one that mentions Adam.
