This was already shown locally here in L.A. I re-played that part several times, just to hear the nice words about Adam.

Always love to hear Adam mentioned on Idol and happy they have his pic in the opening credits! Hope they'll ask him to make an appearance or two or three,etc! I really think this will be a great year for Adam. He's laid his groundwork well and the Grammys gave him exposure in a very positive way. Still can't get over how perfect he looked. Hollywood, take notice! That's how a movie star should look! Time for a movie!! Maybe a comedy road trip with Adam and Sauli!funbunn40

Surprise, suprise! This is a very nice comment. Because I always thought that Seacrest hates Adam. Don't know why. May be because the comment Ryan made about Adam's tougue, way he always introduced Adam "And say hello to Adam Lambertssssssssssssssssss!"

Hi mmyy9, thank you for posting this!

I am a huge Adam fan from Europe where no recent neither old AI is ever aired.

It's been 2 years since Adam's journey started from this SF audition, I got so emotional by watching him there and thinking about Glam Natin Tour a year later. :)

@Mom from Toronto,Canada

I always enjoy your comments and am in agreement.
I can't recall who said it but it rang true to me. They were referring to Adam's older fans and said "He awakens the 14 year old girl in us" I thought OH YES.

This is really cool and true. One wonders how many dreams are going down the tubes? OMG that many people thinking they have talent and that is one city. When you think that the thousands of hopefuls that wind down to only 12 people, it is mind boggling. Wonder if any of the newbees have stood out like Adam did? Haven't watched much this year. Auditions not my thing.

I think there will be people who can sing,but I doubt anyone will stand out like Adam. Not just for his vocal ability but the whole package. Looks, personality, humbleness and really who can ENTERTAIN like Adam! It seems there are a lot of heart ache stories this year and tears. I loved Adam because he was so confident and upbeat and he makes me happy!

@the Dark side
i have been watching this year. Its been quite good with Steven tyler and Jlo. there have been a few good voices, but nobody has had that wow factor for me, and looking at the spoliers for the top 24, they've put some strange choices through. they definitely look like they're trying to get a teen to win, seems half the top 24 are teenagers... and it seems they've got rid if the biggest sad backstory this year.

I think Ryan always liked Adam. When Adam was on Idol I always thought AI tried not to be partial to Adam when his overwhelming talent was obvious. When Adam didn't "win", AI had to save face and kind of ignored Adam until they needed him to save the show!!!!!!!!!!!nancdruuu2
P,S. Can I change my mind? I do think Ryan is a phony because of the music he plays on his show.

You see I thought the opposite...thanks to Ryan who played his song again and again on his radio show. I never thought Ryan did not like Adam. Where the heck do some of you people get your misconceptions? Adam was a stand out for sure and on that show and Ryan was not a factor on the TV show that is! Ryan has enough on his own plate without worring about the contestants. He probably only knows the top 24 really well. He gets to see alot of heartace outside that door and that would be so hard. I have never heard of anyone not liking Adam excpet Danny Gokey! Jealous!

I LOVED seeing this on Idol last week. Makes me so proud.

Re Ryan: Ryan really, really likes Adam. Just look at his body language when they're together. Listen to how he said Adam's name on the show compared to the other contestants, the way he talked about Adam on the show last year, what he said before and after Adam's WWFM performancem etc. Ryan is smitten just like Jay Leno, Ellen, David Foster, Slash, Brian May, and the rest of us. (We're in good company!)

Seacrest never once played IIHY on his radio station except for the 2 times when he interviewed Adam. That's why I stopped listening to him. THERE WAS NO SUPPORT WHATSOEVER FOR THE SONG. And I dont understand why since he at least played WWFM once in a while?

saw that very cool

I think that Adam Lambert set the bar so high during Season 8 of AI, that no one will ever get close to his vocal talent. Adam is articulate, intelligent and very charming. You are not going to find that in a 15 year old teen; there seem to be many of them in the top groups this season. Adam had that special something that no one has had since then and I looked forward to each performance for the song and his edgy, sexy style. He just spoiled the next seasons of AI for me since I can't stop comparing the performers to him. We will just have to wait and see who the winner is this year and how well that person does in the music industry. Just read that Archuleta was dropped by his record label and I believe a few other previous contestants were also dropped. It is a tough business esp. for someone who is very young and has nothing else to fall back on.

The one thing that no one else will be able to compare with ADAM besides his VOICE of course is his Charisma and his ability to take criticism and use it to his advantage instead of arguing with the judges ... no matter WHAT Simon or Kara threw at him ... ADAM always shrugged his shoulders and laughed it off ... he didn't come in there with a sad backstory so they would put him through ... ADAM OWNED everything he did on Idol and won our hearts with his Gracious-ness and his WINNING smile among other things. ADAM had FUN on Idol ... everyone else since then seems so DESPERATE!!
I think that's what ADAM brought to Idol & took it with him when he left ... the show isn't any fun anymore ... it has LOST it's entertainment value now that ADAM is no longer on the show every week!! People don't TALK about the show like they did then!! No one seems to care anymore!! ..JMO

Do you remember at the s8 finale after Ryan announced Kris was the winner, Ryan said to Adam " You are a superstar...". Indeed, Adam is, Simon Cowell's "international superstar"! Adam was what AI was always looking for! Biggest superstar that will ever come off that show. I don't even watch it , not after s8. No need to, I have found my HERO of MUSIC!

Anonymous said...

gawd, why did I do that to myself, now I think about that moment I just want to cry. No, Adam didn't have no sad backstory, but then he did, Adam has worked his ass off since he was a kid to get where he is at now. Adam worked so hard, & yet no one would work with him. It makes you wonder why. K

Adam has said that he worked for 10 years on cruise ships, on the LA stage and other venues, before he tried out for AI during season 8. He paid his dues so to speak, but the time just wasn't right for him to make his mark. Then AI became the platform for him to show what a talented, charismatic, humble individual he was. Even though he did not win, there were no losers in the top two that year. Adam has become a superstar and the success of the GNT proves that. To me, he is the best vocal talent in the music industry today and he is a dynamic performer both musically and visually. His life and ours will never be the same and I am so happy to be here along for the ride.

I agree that Idol won't see anyone with all of the attributes that Adam brought to it. He is the complete package and then some. Last season was pretty bland for me and so anticlimatic after Adam put his imprint on that stage. I think Ryan genuinely likes Adam and considers him a class act. I also think he is greatly influenced by Dick Clark and his holdings. I like the current judges and think there are a few hopefuls with real talent. The one being compared to Adam has a long way to go. Adam did have the advantage of excellent training and experience that along with his extraordinary talent and charisma owned that stage like no other before him or since. I still watch and hope Adam will at some point make an appearance.Really hope to see some TV appearances. funbunn40

Awww... LOVE this!! So happy to see Adam getting the validation he deserves. And NO they're NOT going to find anyone else even close to like what Adam brought to the stage.

@Adamluv... I don't know about the rest of the time? but I do know Ryan played IIHY daily several weeks in a row at noon on his 'Daily Top 5" at the height of its' popularity.
Now that WAS voted in by fans daily, so don't know about regular airtime? It was ON the top 40 countdown... so it must have been played..?
I just certainly wish it was played a hell of a lot MORE.

Btw... I always felt Ryan was smitten when Adam was around.. never thought he didn't like him. The night Adam was on as Mentor/performer (WOW!) I thought Ryan was actually giddy over him.

DDDOOOO wish the hell he played him on the radio more.

Dear HK Fan, I think you are right, they are looking for the next Justin Bieber. Even Idol should know you cannot create star power. Bieber came along at the right time--the current Disney stars are growing up. Bieber also has the right handlers, Usher, and who knows what behind him. I believe Idol thinks they can do the same thing. Perhaps they can, if they have the raw material to work with...but another Adam, NO!
