The world is such a good place with Adam in it. He did it right on Idol and I was so happy to see him again on that stage. So glad he puts back so unselfishly with such care. My heartfelt concern for all of the Japanese fans and all that are affected by the devastating earthquake and tsunamis. We are connected to one another and Adam is just one catalyst to that connection. @ Glitzylady in Hawaii, thinking of you also..funbunn40

Oops! Meant Glitz and Sparkles, but think of you too, GL with warm thoughts!! Thinking of Fan4fun, Icon and hoping for the safe return of Ping Pong! Doing a lot of thinking today, especially appreciative of Adam coming into our lives in such a special way, more than just his magnificent voice and drop dead physical beauty. He has a beautiful soul.. funbunn40

Adam always gives such wonderful interviews; and always so gracious. It was so great seeing Adam on AI. He is the best. I only hope he will be on TV every once in awhile(at least once a week). Thank-you Adam for being and entertainer. Thank-you AI for finding such a special singer, writer, and a great person.

From 1:40 on.....he is so damn cute and charming!
God I love this man!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Sending Glamnation love for Fans in Japan. Our hearts are with you! Stay safe!

It's so touching how Adam is so passionate about the Trevor Project, which of course is near and dear to his heart. I too thought he did it 'right' on AI, focusing on the lyrics. What a great person and humanitarian he is. There's just so much to love about this man...

Its okay @funbunn40, I love Hawaii, and can envision myself there..and yes, thinking of Glitz and Sparkles...and everyone else who is affected, both directly, and indirectly by the earthquake and tsunamis. I suppose that includes all of us really...I was watching the news late last night and a Tsunami alert was issued for my area of the west coast as well. We are at very low risk really but it was still a realization of how things happening many thousands of miles away can affect all of us.

Aww! HAPPY ADAM = very CREATIVE‼ So EXCITED‼

Sending positive vibes to Japan. I hope everyone reaches out and helps in this time of need. Love and determination will get you through. Take care of each other.

looking forward to new Adam music. I know he will put his heart and soul into the new album.

Just to let everyone know Steven Tyler was in hospital getting breathing treatments before this weeks idol. He looked pale and sluggish on the show.
Adam looked so handsome and studly. I listened to show and both recording here and didn't hear what some of you heard. He did start and used lower register, but as he stated in the above thread he has been singing for new album. I loved the way he sang and the way he changed it.
I hope the Trevor project makes lots of money, as this is a very important cause.
My prayers go out to Japan and surrounding areas. There is flooding in New Jersey and Northeast.
@ fan4 fun so glad you have pingpong back. Icon must be purring. Someone stole my Bebe, who I raised as a newborn kitty. He was a beautiful friendly cat. He got out the door while I was at work (kids never shut doors) and I still have a heavy heart for him.
P.S.

1:10 Thanks for the info on ST. I wondered about him. He really doesn't look well.

Adam sounded perfect. No flaws. Just quiet and low register. He was right on pitch, so I'm not sure what people are hearing.

I think people are over analyzing this performance?? Don't know, but it was understated and great.

Adam has always been so direct, so sincere, but I think he's getting even more so, getting really really comfortable with who he is. I admire him so much!

Prayers to those affected by the Japan earthquake or any personal earthquakes/tsunamis.

i love it he is like an excited little boy when he starts talking about albums and music and just being creative so cute

Since Idol didn't want to take the time to say last night, that Aftermath Remix could be purchased to benefit the Trevor Project, I'm hoping that Adam will be invited on some of the Talk Shows (Leno, Letterman, Kimmel, Ellen) to sing Aftermath and promote it.

Anonymous said...

Adam always excels on Leno. That would be awesome if Jay is willing. Adam is just such a neat person talent aside. He's someone you just want to know and hang with.

I just re-watched Adam again (twice..) the first time since last night, which I only watched once (honest...). I think he was amazing and sounded wonderful. The version he sang was perfect for the message he was trying to convey, and the emotion and anguish in his voice was palpable. The song has such meaning to him and I know he felt that very deeply as he sang. Just simply beautiful! I think he gained many new fans last night and brought back some old ones as well. I hope his message of courage and humility is not lost on anyone.

I had a very bad experience with a patient of mine (I work in a dental office...) the other day who said some terrible things about Adam to me regarding his Idol journey, which shocked the heck out of me. The usual BS. She said she was going to fast-forward through his performance.. It was all I could do to keep my composure and the smile on my face. Plus I had sharp instruments in my hands..Very silly woman indeed!!! GRRRR! I suggested (nicely..) that she actually watch his performance as I knew he would be singing this song and he would be wonderful..I see her again in a couple of weeks..Hoping she eats her nasty words. She was a person I would never have expected that from and had enjoyed up until then. I guess you never know......

As always, Adam gives a very articulate and wonderful interview even though the person interviewing him wasn't always paying attention and asked the same questions. Loved Adam on AI last night and the fact that donations from the remix of Aftemath will benefit the Trevor Project. Adam seems happy, upbeat and so focused in working on this new album. Can't wait for it to come out this fall. In the meantime, here's hoping that Adam will make some other appearances on a few talk shows to promote Aftermath.

So..bet you didn't know that Adam on Idol is like eating Ritz Crackers..here is a fun, slightly irreverent article...which will explain that concept!

I hope that Ellen and Jay invite Adam to sing Aftermath on their shows!

He's so bubbly and excited - it is infectious!! Happy for him - happy for us. I've played my copies of FYE to death and actually bought two more the other day because the others were so beat up!! Another Adamazing CD is almost too much to anticipate!!

And one more: another funny slightly irreverent article about Adam's return to Idol...Seems like everyone out there is happy to see Adam back on Idol..

Adam always mixes it up ...I thought he presented Aftermath for the charity very well and looked great....OT and don't get mad but you know Adam likes to look great and worrys about his complexion...now that he has time and money ...just wondering if he will have some laser surgery or whatever they do to get rid of those pox marks...it will be just one less thing to worry about on his next tour...and I hope he doesn't wander too far away from GNT....because it was exciting, colorful and the most fun I've had in years.....miss the Glam Family......good to see Monte, Tommy J and Issac

Anonymous said...

Just my opinion, but I think Adam's performance was brilliant last night in so many ways. No wonder everyone was so happy to see him back on Idol. He came back as that humble, sweet, drop dead gorgeous hunk they remembered...and now he was singing a song he wrote and talking about proceeds from the remix going to the Trevor Project. This went over as an A+ with the young people I work with. Now on to that #1 song that will come from his next album. I hope he can preform Aftermath on Leno and Ellen too.
Thanks so much, Adam!

Adam's facial scarring is from acne as a teen.
Perhaps it doesn't bother him, I'll admit I have also wondered about smoothing out that sweet face and if the stage make-up he wore in teenhood theatrical productions might have worsened the condition.

However I'm not sure we could bear him being even more beautiful. He should leave perfection alone.JM

Anonymous said...

Well, he does live in LA. I'm sure there may be a few dermatologists in the area who could help him smooth out those acne scars. Whatever, he is quite simply one of the most gorgeous creatures on the planet anyway. So, who really gives a f*ck?

Anonymous said...

I'm not saying this because I don't like it (though I don't) but from curiosity. HOW could you perform a remix live.....it's a studio creation. All sorts of electro sounds with voices, not just Adam , woven into final product.

Is that possible? I never listen to remixes so don't understand....wouldn't they have to be lip-synced? ARE they ever PERFORMED? JAK ???????

Anonymous said...

By the way with the almost bare face and the enthusiasm showing he looks like a 19 year old.

Happiness transforms all of us, but this much joy is EPIC!...................JAK

i just love to hear Adam talks in interviews. especially when he got to be a little playful moving his head and body(1.34-1.50)..and then, there's the irresistible smile and of course his articulateness!

Wow, 218 thanks for that. FYE having another burst of popularity. Cool.

glad to see AI performance critiques fading, let's dive right into the acne scars now.

Everyone at work said Adam was great. Now your talking people I already knew that for sure. They know I love him and felt the need to express how much they thought of the performance on Idol; it made me feel "we" have made some progress. It DOES get better. I think now we will see some great results. So excited for Adam...his future is so bright. No more "gay gay gay" now it IS about the music, the man, the love and message he has to emote. Wow I think we have done it and it feels good. Thanks Adam! My heart is full!

Great news about FYE and GNT!!

@Glitzy; I know what you mean. 90% of my patients (Dr Office) loved him during Idol, but that dropped to about 30% once the "news" about him being gay hit the media. People (adults and teens) who had never been anywhere but this small town jumped ship like RATS. Those with more world experience didn't care in the least. Us Nursing Staff loved him, the Office Staff was split about 50/50. Weird. I think I can safely say that I was/am the most um,...enthusiastic shall we say, about him around here.

Gotta check out those links.

Enjoyed this thread peeps, thanks.

@Anon March 12 3:58AM - I know right!!!! I've always thought that (and have said so here in the past I think) Dayum, it gets me everytime!

On-topic - Regarding this interview - I guess I didn't know how much I was craving new music from AML until I ruminated over this interview!! I've been feeling very satisfied w/ DVD clip releases and remix releases and such... but yep, it'll be a long hot summer waiting for that sophomore album. In the meantime 'tho, I've been hitting the YouTube Upright Cabaret New Year's Eve performances - holy hot hell, so delish. I hope someday, in the future, he will have established himself enough to revisit and give us that Adam again. I think, unfortunately, if he gave us that Adam right now he'd catch flak for it, as to broadway references and blah blah blah crap... and that's fine, I can wait, but that Adam is great too and I think we'll see him again someday. This dude is so multifaceted, I don't even think he's scratched the surface of what we're going to see from him, IMHO.

@Glitzlady & V and others - despite the dental patient type/story, etc. - what's most important to ME (just speaking for myself here) about your story is what it says about YOU!! You follow me? When I bump into similar circumstances, and I have, I still walk away from the encounter feeling great, maybe because I'm feeling great about what my support and admiration of Adam Lambert (man and talent) says about ME!

If you can't bare to see his face like it's your lost. If he is comfortable so be it I don't have any problem with that. Just stay healthy and happy are the most possession you can keep and share with your love ones. External beauty is only a second hand my dear. Accept his face for what it is right now or look the other way. That's your choice........

That AI performance of Adam's was wonderful! It's a performance that I need to watch over & over. At the end, his smile, just makes me laugh-crying!Adam was just beautiful & sang a newer acoustic version of "Aftermath", which may be on e of his best, hell they're all his best!!
I love this lil interview, he was so cute trying to keep the new album a secret, shhh!,Yes indeed I am looking forward to his new music, but I am always going to go back to FYE, it is a great album! MWAH!! K

@MGF 6:24 AM
Yes, I follow what you mean..and I like to think that someday most, if not all, people will "get" that Adam is first and foremost a lovely human being who also (by the way...) has a lot of singing talent. His kind heart and generous soul are to me just as important, or even actually more important, than his beautiful voice. And I also hope that one day his voice and skills will be recognized and appreciated without the associated labels that seem to give certain people the implied permission to criticize him without actually "listening". The woman I referred to had absolutely nothing good to say about him, including his singing voice, his interpretations of the songs, at all, period, which to me could only mean one thing, that she never gave him a chance because of who he is. I was left almost speechless because what do you say to someone like that? If I wasn't in a business setting I might have said more..But then again, maybe not..I probably would have said the same thing..to give him another listen. That was after I had told her how much my husband and I loved him on Idol and have gone to (ahem..many of..) his concerts afterward, etc. (Although I have to say, she couldn't remember the name of the Idol she was supporting...or who won..) What started out as a fun lighthearted conversation turned into an ugly thing (on her part), with her being so full of hate and loathing. She must have felt a great need not only to put him down but imply that we are complete morons for supporting him. I felt rather figuratively stomped on afterward. Just the way Adam has surely felt at times. I have a feeling she is a lost cause because her heart is obviously hardened to being able to truly "listen", but then miracles do happen. I know he is not everyone's cup of tea, but she obviously has other issues. Oh well, I know how talented he is and and what a decent man he is, so too bad for her. I am indeed very proud to be a (very big) fan of his, and nothing anyone can say will change that. Listening to him and "knowing" him brings joy to my heart.

What is essential is invisible to the eye"

Oh my God! If this was the first time I was looking at this beautiful face, I would bet sweet Adam had just turned 21!!!

@ P.S.
So sorry you've lost your cat Bebe. Ping Pong is not mine, belongs to my neighbour Esther but lives in the streets, like a homeless, by «his» own choice, he's a free spirit. Yes, we got him back and it was such a detective story, I'll tell you (or Icon will)later, maybe tomorrow. Oh, Lord, please protect and bless my cat Icon, I'd die if I lose him. My two icons (my cat and sweet Adam) are my real life, or the best part of it.

@ lmb
Thanks for your «hello» some threads behind. You haven't posted here as regularly as you used to do. Why? Let me tell you, lady, I got really sad and even quite mad at you when you called sweet Adam a liar. I'm still trying to understand your point and opinion about his antics during GNT (mainly international GNT) but I think I'll give up. I respect you too much because of your work for gay's rights and also for your many other good qualities as a woman, wife, mother... and Glambert. That's it! I'll get over it! Water under the brige. ACCEPTANCE!!! That is the word in the air. The «LOVE» word, I'm sure you've got it deep inside your heart, same room you reserved for life to sweet Adam. Good to see you back, fellow.

I think Adam should leave the tv appearances for a while and focus on the new album. No need for more acoustic performances.

Anonymous said...

I disagree, more TV performances would be wonderful.
And the skin, what acne scars? I still haven't got past the eyes and the smile. And maybe the GB.
I think if Adam got any more perfect, we would all just melt away!

Anonymous said...

thanks, glitzylady for that quote from the Little Prince. I always enjoy your posts

Anonymous said...

NO NEED FOR MORE ACOUSTIC PERFORMANCES! Bite your tongue! That new album is months and months away and he needs to stay in the public eye.

Nothing fancy is required, just a visit to Leno, Letterman, I'd like to see him with Craig Ferguson , and another round with the ladies of The View, he's always extra charming around gals.

He and Monte can always do justice to any song. What I'd really like is if the two of them would re-work a couple Citizen Vein songs and surprise us. I vote for Bad Reputation and Beyond the Sky.....that would ROCK our world.......JAK

glitzylady said...

@anon 3:05 PM Thanks, one of favorite quotes..and so true.

@anon 3:01 PM Yes, I agree with you. This is the PERFECT time for Adam to do some TV appearances. To keep himself out there, to gain some new fans (who may buy his first album and look forward to his new music), and to promote Aftermath Remix and the Trevor Project. Not to mention I'm always more than happy to watch him perform! (I'm selfish like that!) All good reasons, and they take very little time away from his recording for his new album...which he is apparently well into! (YAY!!!) Heck he did his first album while on the Idols Live Tour, and that turned out pretty darn good! He is a very hard worker and seems to thrive on being busy..so more TV appearances please!

@funbunn40 Good idea!

@V Yes, aren't people just interesting??!!

glitzylady said...

@JAK
Like minds....LOL!!!

Yes, Craig Ferguson...those two could really have some fun! And Leno loves Adam...I think its about time for another Oprah appearance too.....

Anonymous said...

I cry from laughter watching Craig Ferguson. He and Adam would really heat up the tv's around the good old US, because Craig is not afraid to say anything and would definitely open up Adam's comedic ability.
