You know this is kind of weird, I get so excited whenever Adam receives recognition, is nominated for an award, gets a gold or platinum record. Today when I read several posts about good things happening I started laughing at myself.

Maybe I have crossed over the fine line between fan and fanatic! I try to remember did I get this excited when my daughters were in plays, got their photo in the paper, or even made a touchdown (PowderPuff Football). I hope I did!

Interesting because Longineau Parsons is the drummer for Yellowcard and is also the drummer for Glam Nation Tour DVD/CD. Still voting for Adam tho.....no contest!

I won't repeat what we've all been saying for the past 2 years - but when you take the astounding talent (the first and foremost thing), pair it with the confidence, the eye candy, the humanitarian that Adam is, the quick wit and humor and those icy blue eyes, his body rolls and the leather lace-up pants...well, damn, resistance is futile!!

I think Gay Icon refers to people who are popular and/or are influential with-in the gay community. Some are gay, some not.

Yes it's all those things but I think he also brings out our womanly instinct to protect. We know he struggled,was,in his words, pulled down and not allowed many times in the past and in the present.

As if he were my child I don't want anyone to be mean to him, insult him or deny him any of his rights. His orientation is as much a part of him as his blue eyes, freckles and glorious voice. God made him as he is and I want the world to be nice to him.

You don't need to be gay to be a gay icon. Kylie Minogue is a straight Australian singer and a huge favourite with some of the gay community, as is her sister Dannii Minogue, also a singer and TV host in the U.K. Lady Gaga is also a favourite with the gay community.

DVD this week in Australia and it took prime time position! Congrats to JB Hifi for being on the ball and having fans amongst their employees.

CONGRATULATIONS to our Aussie Adam. Could there be anyone 'betterer' for the recognition!

..and good to see Anthony Callea on that list.
He was a child performer in Oz and a few years ago went on Australian Idol and missed out...getting that crazy 'runner up' title. Again heaven knows why because he should have taken the show hands down. He had a time of 'coming out' as a beautifully gay man. Plus he was in 'Wicked' here in Australia and is now a very successful artists/actor. He was in Hollywood recently and so prehaps Adam may have met him. Check him out singing 'The Prayer'.

It´s a bit spooky. Almost the same story as Adam. I googled Anthony Callea and foud pics of him, and on some of them he looked like Adam, but even more like Taylor Lautner from Twilight Saga (Team Jacob).
