I was under the impression this was a NoH8 sight
with enlightened human beings. Adam picks his friends, not us. We have no right to criticize a person because they look a certain way. What does a straight normal person look like? What does a gay normal person look like? Seems to me there are a variety of looks in this world and if there were not different looks, then we would all have to look & act the same. What a boring existence. We would all be SAD ALS & just as narrow minded if we continue to stereotype people or degrade them for being different than ourselves or they don't suit your criteria of normal,whatever the hell that is.

Adam is very honest and authentic about his life but I do think all the drag queens and trans that show up in pictures socializing with him could keep him at cult-status level, as a performer. But if that is Ok with him, then no biggie.

I don't care but I do know those who do. I prefer to see him perform in smaller venues anyway. He is awesome close up!

Eva, my sentiments exactly and would have posted so, but you beat me to the punch. Unconditionally love Adam who is easier to love than most artists who profess edginess without caring whether people think they are going over the edge (criminal, hurtful, ignorant, negative, you know). I would like to think that our hero for our times is not so calculating that he would sacrifice his natural self in order to gain commercialness, if that is a word. We want our Adam to be everything we want him to be, yet we say we celebrate him because he is the real thing. Come on, people. Get with the program. We're past the age where we should be worrying about what other people think, as many illnesses are born this way. Be true to yourself, and people will have to love you the way you are. It's when we strive to be something we're not (fake) that ulcers, anxiety attacks, physical pain, etc. abound. Cheers, folks.

I must admit that I don't either feel very comfortable seeing Adam with drag queens etc. I know it's wrong, but can't help it. It's my handicap and I am working on it. Thanks to Adam I have learned to love gays. I think it is much due to the fact that Sauli is like an ordinary guy and not like a provocative gay.

It is so true, I saw some draq queens many years ago only in underground show business in South East Asia. They are very nice and beautiful people and one dressed as Snow white, so pretty and I still remember meeting her after all these years. I hope someday they can come out from their places and live among the general population. Adam is the bridge between these two worlds and bring some light to the "forgotten" group.

@ 9:01 Yes I do respect them for their courage and I do accept and like them at a conscious level. I just struggle with my own feelings. All this is easier for you younger people, who were born into the world where gayness was a known fact. I still remember the first time I heard about gays. It was a shock. I could never even imagine that something like that existed.

Adam is doing a great job for people like me by helping to get rid of that psychological problem.

Adsm has more GUTS than any artist out there. What other well-known gay performer OPENLY socializes with those he is comfortable with and cares about, regardless of what others think? He is incredibly brave and uncompromising by doing this. Kudos to him! He knows it might affect a portion of his fan base, but his not out to please everyone. He is staying true to himself at all times. I adore him for this! If his following becomes more "cult" then I'm right there in it. He is SO SPECIAL in every way. We are SO lucky to be experiencing the career of this remarkable person.

10:02 Jake Shears. He just isnt AS well known in America. He has however had a huge "cult" following here for many years. Go to the UK and its like Beatlemania...He and Adam were cut from the same cloth in my opinion.

Adam's GNL DVD gives us some taste of what is like in "this" world. I always wonder why he has this one time big giant eye lashes on with a half shaved hair style the day he film his concert. He is more than a flamboyant singer, he really cares and loves those people where he comes from. He pushes limit and open the door for acceptance. Love him for being himself.

I can't express how proud I am of the people on this feed who are honest about their conflicted feelings. How can you love someone you don't even know? The beauty of it is that you are accepting of the fact that being different isn't wrong or evil, but shows you have compassion and are opening your hearts and minds and are being

@8:48 I felt the way you do - conflicted about the drag scene. Then I watched RuPaul's Drag Race and everything affiliated with it on Logo Channel. It was a little difficult at first for me (out of my comfort zone) but I soon realized that these young (and sometimes not so good looking) men transform themselves into exotic beautiful women. They are so talented and artistic. I soon came to realize that they are normal people with wants and desires who are filled with passion (not lust) for what they do. For them, this is an act. They do not dress in drag on a daily basis...it is a performance that makes them feel powerful. I have changed my whole concept of the world of drag and find these young men truly beautiful in drag or out. BTW there are straight men who are in the drag scene.

RuPaul says after each show - "How are you going to love anybody if you don't love yourself. Now can I hear an Amen?"

.We need to open our hearts and minds both ways. Conservatives have for a long time been misunderstood in relation to gays, etc. I would wager to say many of Adam's fans are conservative and very tolerant ones at that. I would hope that the progressive fans here are also open to their viewpoints. Afterall, isn't the point of being a fan to promote Adam and support him by buying his albums. It's better sometimes to have a larger tent.

Some people act as if homosexuality in show business is a NEW SHOCKING thing....for the folks my age, the press was more discreet (probably pressured by studios) in our days.Gays, lesbians and bi's were alive and doing well......Kate Hepburn, Joan Crawford, Marlene Dietrich. Claudette Colbert...Danny Kaye, Van Johnson, Olivier, Cary Grant, Randolph Scott, Cesar Romero, and Jeff Chandler and Dan Daily wore women's clothes! Tons more, would they have been "stars" if they had been open...I doubt it, but times have changed...but not enough...........I won't live long enough to see it accepted, but maybe long enough to see it not condemmed. We will always have idiots and unfortunately a lot are so called religious leaders..ie...Westboro protesters and now the nincompoop who was responsible for deaths by burning the Koran and now wants to picket a mosque. If you are a person of faith, any faith, can't we just trust God to sort things out?

Adam looks WONDERFUL - cool, smooth - love the hair down with the beard that is now more natural in color and the bedroom eyes, huggable T and jacket, understated jewlery! The appeal of this guy just NEVER stops!

I am an independent thinker, always have been. I have my own views on things, don't go with one side or the other. BUT one thing I have always been is a people person. Don't like to see people talked about unfairly, left out of a click, cause they didn't fit just right, gossip that is so hurtful, and sticking ones nose into anothers business. I am still that way, try to find the good in everybody. I was going to comment on the "normal gay" comment, but didn't.
I thought I may go off on a rant. Glad some of you addressed this, cause I feel some just don't get who Adam is, and where he was when he got to Hollywood at 18. Here was a young man, who was different, with all this talent and nowhere to go. He goes "underground" where he is comfortable and accepted. He still can't get the break he wanted, even after being in "Wicked", and other shows. He is 26 now and because of his singing talent, others who knew him told him to try for Idol. Yes, the Adam we saw on Idol was not the full package, he toned it down.
I believe the last year on tour we saw some of the real Adam. Now he is maturing and trying to find himself and what he wants to be, he said he has to make adjustments. He is smart, we know this is true, but he will never forget where he came from, or who his friends were and still are. He may make more adjustments in the future, after all he is still growing as an artist and person.
We have all went through changes in our lives to get where we are, as I said way up above I thought we loved him no matter what. I know I do.
