From Teen.com:

BC Jean visited us at the Teen.com HQ to talk about collaborating with Adam Lambert, being inspired by another famous Britney Jean (Spears, duh!), and writing famous song after famous song, like Beyonce’s “If I Were A Boy."

Although I've never heard of this singer/songwriter ... I am curious to hear this song that ADAM seems so 'psyched' about that they have collaborated on. Off to Ytube to look up BC Jean ... Love 'n Light

she is young mid 20's. She is actually a big hitter, she has some amazing tunes with Kattypery.

OKAY!! Just came from Ytube ... this girl can saaang!! Can't wait to hear the song that she & ADAM collaborated on .... she sounds like a mix of Janis Joplin & Pink ... I like her voice ... raw & raspy like Allison Iraheta ... only higher ... not so sultry ...

Interesting article about AI, 19 entertainment and contracts. Perhaps explains why we think Adam is not getting the promotion he deserves.

Eva, That article is very disturbing. There also seem to be a lot of shake ups with RCA & 19 staff. So don't trust them. Do you think they have Adam tied up for 7 years of his life?! His prime years?! The sooner he moves out from under American Idol, the better. Wish Adam had his own label and a REAL agent who has ADAM's best interests in the fore. Maybe then he could branch out into SNL or a movie role.

Does he need RCA? In the era of the internet, this is how everyone finds out about Adam, i.e. how his tour sold out. RCA is using Adam's internet fanbase to do their promotional work. Maybe RCA has become irrelevant. It also seems like they are pushing some of their other projects onto Adam's coat tails which could have effect of watering him down.

Can't get excited over girl above. The only collaboration I could get excited about would be Adele. (I don't like Pink, esp. her voice.) Adele is a seriously good song writer and singer. Writes and sings ADULT songs. I would also like to see Adam writing with his own band like real rockers do. He needs seriously good songs to sing, more like Soaked or CLYG or WLL--not Katie Perry fluffy things. He's too seriously gifted to sing junk. Would love a seriously good song writer to send him material. Hopefully the song writer has not been forced into obscurity by the save-a-buck record labels who are in financial trouble. Someone connected to music industry in Nashville told me one reason artists are now pushed to write their own songs is to save the money that would have gone to the song writer. Two for the price of one. Record labels also seem to love safe song formulas vs. originality as a guarantee to get their money back out of artists. Radio pop these days is awful.

Would love to see Adam in a small, but rich character part in a top notch movie. Would also love to see him on a stage somewhere for the last year of his 20's. Seems like he got such a late start. Adam lives to be on stage.

How about Carry Undwerwood? I think she got BIG PROMOTIONS? Or David Urchuleta? He is doing very good.
Adam had very promotions until AMA.

David Archelleta doing well? I don't think so. Never hear his songs on the radio. He has never toured on his own. Carrie Underwood has done super great. I think it may be easier in country music. I think Adam's next CD is going to be great. He may be able to break away from 19/RCA. I know Kelly C. did. Adam has a strong personality and knows what he wants. I am not worried about him. He is already an international star unlike David A.

During Idol I kept "casting" Adam in Broadway stage rolls.....first one that came to mind was the small but super role of Conrad Birdie in Bye Bye Birdie. He would rip it up! Then Lt.Cable in South Pacific (he could sing Younger Than Springtime and You Have To Be Carefully Taught).

So many that he would excel at. I know he wants to be a recording artist and since that's the only way I will be able to hear him that's what I want too.

But I believe in his soul he belongs on a great stage......He said he became bored because he was just a chorus boy and understudy....now he would be the LEAD. Just once before I go to the Happy Hunting Ground I'd like to see him in Camelot....."If Ever I Would Leave You"..sigh.JAK

Read where Adam is personally handled by Simon Fuller, who knows what he is doing. Adam was allowed to take his debut album on a tour, and that was not a norm. btw if Adam says he just did a song that was golden, I will believe it is exactly that. As for this girl being young, look at the songs that Bruno Mars is writing and he's like really young.

@10:22 AM I would love to see Adam as Judas in Jesus Christ Superstar, the one role he continues to say he has always wanted. Also as the MC in Cabaret. Maybe Sweeney Todd?, Hair? 42nd St.?. I can also see Adam cast as Angel in Rent, now that we know he can dance on tables & chairs without breaking his neck! (per Gaga's party--proof of his dancing skills, very hard to do sober, let alone drunk--especially for someone as tall as Adam who may have also been wearing his high heeled boots!). I would love to hear some of Adam's past performances like Lilies Eyes and Pity the Child. I still can't get enough of his My Conviction from Hair--Sooooo much more sophisticated (Adam was 21 then) than this little girl at the top of this thread.

I believe Adam was on the short list to be cast as Spiderman in the muscial. Thank god he did not get that role. He could have been seriously injured or killed. The special effects have taken center stage over the singing & acting. What a mess--a real Charlie Sheen of a musical. I have heard there is a new "dark" musical with storyline written by Stephen King coming out in Atlanta in about a year--before going up to NYC.

I think Adam would be terrific as Cole Porter in a Broadway version of DeLovely (although Kevin Kline will always OWN the movie role.) Cole Porter's double entendre songs are still very current. The male duet of Night & Day in that movie is stunning.

I keep my fingers crossed that somebody like Elton John or David Bowie will write a musical FOR Adam. Maybe recreate Adam's favorite movie, a Velvet Goldmine, for the stage or maybe another about Oscar Wilde--a very tragic story (Did anyone figure out whether the portrait behind Adam while he sang Sleepwalker in GNT was Wilde?)

Or Maybe Adam & his troope(they all seem homesick for the road)could simply set out on their own like a band of Gypsies. We'd find them and probably follow them everywhere.

If only. Got to get back to real life.

The Dark Side, I know. You are probably right. I've wondered about Simon Fuller. I, too, trust Adam's judgment. However, re: Mars, if he wrote the lyrics "I'd take a grenade for you"--it is just plain silly LOL. Not enduring like lyrics of Whole Lotta Love, Smile (Though Your Heart is Aching), Feeling Good, Sleepwalker, Soaked, Broken Open, or Night & Day.

Night and Day........oh my.........all dressed up in a dress with sparkles and 4 crinolins holding out the full skirt and with my silver heels.
Dancing under a spinning mirrored ball. Air conditioning chilly on sunburned shoulders but snuggling up so close to my gorgeous date for warmth (maybe I should say heat!) The dance floor was filled with couples floating on clouds to REAL MUSIC!!!!!!!!!!

Where is that gorgeous guy I'm going to go ambush him during his news program!!!!!!!!JAK
