Why 'Play That Funky Music'??? What a bad/odd choice. How about 'Mad World'??? - considered one of the best performances EVER! How about 'Whole Lotta Love'?? Don't they want Adam to win by choosing one of the lesser discussed songs he did?? Kind of makes me mad -

Don't be mad...read the heading again...this was the night the Top 9 all sang and that was his song that night! Be happy, no slight intended.
But it is nice to see he is defended on all sides by tigers like you and I.......JAK

OMG sooooo cute. That smile! Love what the judges say especially Paula. To be honest not my favorite performance but that was the top 9 week and what they sang. He still kills it with every song in his very Adam like amazing way! Oh how I miss that season of AI ,but greater things will keep happening for Adam. So exciting that we have been there with him from the start and now forever!

It was one of my fav performances. He never looked better! It was exciting, energetic and fun! I prefer the upbeat songs. GREAT choice!!!

Was definitely one of my favorites, but then he didn't sing a song that wasn't a favorite. These polls are...nice, I suppose. See where Archie and Kris ahead, and that's nice also. What more is there to say? btw I am totally crazy about MTV's poll for Glamberts? I can get behind that.

I'll never forget that performance, when he said "come on ,come on come play the funkin music and screamed . That was epic. voted but the archie fans are out in full force- he's winning by alot.

Actually this is one of my fav Adam covers... Listen to the music, the base-line is completely revamped in to some modern tempo. This is why I admired adam from the begining. His ability to recreate an old tune and give it a fresh and current feel is unbelievable. Listen to the original and listen to this one. I remember reading in some blog after he did this somebody saying that someone from season 5, I believe it was the winner did Play that funky music and she was sayig that dude did it better and I googled that performance just to see what she was saying and I just Laughed and said WOW people really have different taste in music!!! But with Adam, I always feel like he is going to bring his A-game in everything. And I remember top9 week season 8, when Ryan introduced the song I was like that song is so Blehhhhhhhhhhh but then once the base guitar started I was like WTF! And then came the dancing, the 60's disco look, the eyes, the girating and the outfit and I was like O.O WHo is this guy? He is unbelievable.Bottom line is every week during season 8, I felt like the rest of the contestants were competing and in the middle we're being treated to a guest professional performer "Adam Lambert" LOL. Thats genuinly how I felt. And I remember even laughing at Ryan's and the judges efforts to make it look like some competition was going on because from the get go we all knew that no one can come an inch closer to this dude. He was a superstar and nothing will stop him.

The first time Adam walked into the SF audition and said "I'm not skurrred" - I was hooked.

I love this performance. It always brings a smile to my face when I watch grooves. Adam was so sexy and joyous and yet hit every note perfectly. What an outstanding performer he is!

Don't say huh? This was not one of my favorite songs, but WAS, one of my favorite performances by our Adam. He owned the stage, the audience, the viewers and the judges with his charisma.

I remember watching season 7 and crying almost every time David Archuletta sang. His voice was so pure and he was so sweet and innocent. I voted for him and was sad when he lost to David Cook.

On this poll I voted for Adam, because I've grown up now and he brought me back to my sexual awakening. I don't cry anymore. I'm 71 after all.

And Adam thanking Rickey Manor and the band!!!!! Always gracious and acknowledging others! What a beautiful soul Adam has - another reason why I love him so. @Anon above, I wanted David A. to win as well. His rendition of Lennons Imagene was beyond beautiful.. . . Adamluv

I agree that Archuleta's IMAGINE was so beautiful that it brought tears to my eyes. But I loved Adam's rendition of ONE the song that Simon chose for him to sing. During that performance he owned the stage esp. with the notes he hit and the surrounding camera angles. It was such a special moment although Adam had me at the first note he sang for season 8 of AI. He set the bar so high that no one since then has come close to this talented, articulate, charming and yes, sexy man.

Adam is really a charming young man eh!!!!!

I like when he sing and dance at the same time.

Had to come back... Didn't watch at first because I remembered this as dynamic, but not one of my faves.... as a matter of fact I think it was in my bottom 2?....

Holy hell, this guy was AMAING... even in my bottom 2!!! Not sure wat to move but DAMN this was GREAT.... Plus what ZZ mentioned above.

I first voted about 4 days ago and have tried each day since but always says we have already counted your vote, so it seems only once. They have been doing this poll each week, so next week should be top 8 which I think was Madworld, so hopefully Adam will win that one.

It was top 9 performances. Those are the songs they sang...

@ZZ, DITTO to your post. I didn't know about the season 5 person, but you made me appreciate this performance all the more!
