QUESTION: 'Can You Be My Lover' and 'Dirty, Dirty Disco' are two very different songs. What are your influences?
Ben Jackson : As mentioned, I love the sound of Stevie Nicks; but Sheryl Crow, Johnny Cash and R.E.M are also huge influences for me. There is so much around at the moment that is influencing my newer songs and writing, such as Adam Lambert. What a talent, eh?

Great to see that Adam is now a reference for others on what is perfection on the music scene.
Off topic, almost all artists these days work with other artists in the writing and producing of their albums. For instance, I just noticed on another site that Adam will shortly be in the studio with Greg Wells (Wells has worked with so many great artists in the past and present). It's therefore my hope that some of Adam's songs on his 2nd CD will have real heavy drumming included in them like what we hear in some of Adele's songs. Also, I find it so powerful when the first few songs on a new album grab you to the core and don't let you go. Heavy drumming tends to do that (well at least to this listener).
Really looking forward to Adam's new album!

Last week, Adam took to a cool, downtown Los Angeles location to film a piece for Talk@MTV Playground. This will air internationally, but in the meantime, you can check out some photos from the shoot right here.
The concept of the spots are to pair together a musical artist and a leading creative in the fashion world who have mutual respect for each other. They sit down to discuss what inspires them, their work and what drives their creativity.
Adam sat down with SKINGRAFT Founder, Johnny Cota, seen here in the photos.

I don't know who Ben Jackson is either so I googled him and apparently he's an English singer. He doesn't have an entry in wikipedia.

Ben Jackson is Australian and apparently a popular singer-songwriter. I couldn't find much about him either. Adam is very popular in Australia. Ben Jackson has very nice things to say about Adam, he recognizes Adam's talent, and he is influenced by Adam. That's newsworthy enough for me. He's a fan too! And its nice to hear yet another of Adam's peers singing his praises. I love hearing this kind of thing..it may not be huge but its still very nice to hear. And its a really slow Adam news time..anything new is appreciated! : )

I agree any nice news about Adam is welcome. It is feeling like a bit of a drought these days. Wish we would get some happy pics with Sauli or Adam just walking to the car.. but it must means he is busy which is good for us in the long run.
