Ironic. My last post was about Adam "looking over eyeglasses" in the Kara post and here is his brother telling us about Kara's very diffifult to sing No Boundaries. Ironic.

Are you back from your travels thru Asia? Now L.A. or back to Brooklyn? Teaching again or writing? I find Neil so bright I would love to know more about him.......
Adam is mall music?.......JAK

@11:47 Agree and not in a good way. Looking like "come here little girl and see what I have for you." Not pleasant. Kinda on the sleeze.

JAK - No Boundaries is mall music!!

I always thought Adam pulled "No Boundaries" off. I love it ! It seems to be a surreal moment for Neil since he tweeted it to Adam publicly.
Good ole Neil , a real smart smartass! Don't know him too well, but just from little tidbits of his twitter , & what Adam says about him or the what fans say, Neil seems to be an alright guy. Mwah!! K

I feel that the song is very underrated. Even though it's a bit cheesy, I thought Adam sounded very good in it.

This picture of Neil looks like his playing the part in the movie Moulon Roughe (dont think i spelled that right) like the barker at a circus.. I think hes witty..

Adam sings this song beautifully. Kris Allen did not have the talent to pull if off and his version is beyond bad and caused many people to blame the song. J/S

I may start following Neil again. I stopped because after all, he is NegativeNeil. As far as the song, it is one of my favs. So is Time for Miracles, and it definitely didn't get the attention it deserved. So cool to hear any of Adam's songs when I'm out and about. Stops me in my tracks, and it is such a great moment.

When both Adam and Kris sang this song at the conclusion of AI, we all know that Adam did the better job. It is a difficult song to sing, but Adam had the pipes to carry it off. He can sing just about anything and has proven so during his aI performances and during the last two years. Mall music?? Who cares. At least they are playing something from him and when someone asks, you as a fan can say it is Adam Lambert, so his name is out there. I agree that it is cool to hear any of Adam's songs when I am out. It puts a smile on my face and makes me feel good.

Neil is a good guy and tweeted that he'll be in NY in a few weeks. He said he was eating a burrito, the first one in months,so I assume he's with Eber in SanDiego for now, as he was staying with Eber before he left for Asia. This isn't the most flattering pic of Neil, and he has a reason for everything. The curl on his forehead so prominent is probably to get a reaction. He's cute in person and very nice, unless you're aggressive and rude to him. He's very much like Eber, witty, sarcastic and very cerebral. Glad he's back in the US!It was his suggestion that Adam sing Mad World on Idol. He used to ply it for Adam to sing and they would bicker about the tempo, etc. Neil plays classical music very well on the keyboard, but when asked by a fan if he would play for Adam on tour, he said he wasn't good enough, which I doubt. He probably knew they would kill each other bickering.lol The melody for No Boundaries was pretty and Adam did a great job, but some of the lyrics were a little cheesy and Adam said they were a lot to memorize. funbunn40

12:42 I agree with You.

I just remember Adam looking like he was in pain after singing it on AI. Almost like his stomach ached. lol

Remember that poem
"There once was a little (girl),
Who had a little curl,
Right in the middle of her forehead.
And when she was good, she was very very good, And when she was bad, she was horrid" lol

@12:12 "Underrated cheeze"

HaHa

funnbunn - I think Adam told Neil "NO WAY" nowing how negative he is. "Come along if you want to, but not as a member of the band." JMO

What's with the snarky remarks about Neil. Looks kinda cute. Never heard Miracles, but heard WWFM in Penneys the other day. WWFM will go on to be a classic, I am sure.

Actually Paula was Adam's biggest promoter. Kara still thought Adam was too theatrical in the beginning, but fortunately put him thru'. Now I can't imagine how silent the world would seem without Adam. I'm so glad he had the Idol platform and I'll be glad when the ridiculous and unrealistic stigma attached to Idol will go away and some people will realize that Adam wasn't a puppet, but a strategic, seasoned performer that used the opportunity for visibility. He never was in the same league as anyone on that show, but he lifted it up to an exciting, creative level. He truly is one of a kind and his own man. funbunn40

Personally, I always liked No Boundaries but only Adam's version. I have it on my Ipod..The studio version is absolutely perfect! I'm glad to hear Adam's voice singing in a mall, pet store, I don't care where. I'm just so happy someone is playing his music. It makes me so happy!

Just watched all the Moscow videos again, holy hell I just cant get over Adams voice. It has been over 2 years and I am still smitten and amazed he is unbelievable. Feel like I say the same drivel all the time (I do) but just cant help myself.
Still no word of where he is little devil knows it drives us crazy.

I thought he nailed it.

I'm sure when "No Boundaries" was written, it was meant to be sung by Adam with HIS talent and range.

@6:20 PM
I'm very sure you are right, and since Kara Dioguardi wrote it, it must have been such a shock to her her when Adam came in second. The words and the music have "Adam Lambert" written all over it...I've thought that since the second I heard it..As someone else above said, I downloaded it and have it on my AIS8 Adam Lambert CD..he does a great job with it...It was sort of panned because of the lyrics, but Adam, as usual, made it sound good.

This pic of Neil is one and the same as his Twitter avi.

Sadly, I didn't have cable TV in 2009 and the 1st time I heard Adam sing was on YouTube singing No Boundaries. I listened to Kris's version 1st and I thought .... OK, it's another Idol song .... and then I listened to Adam's version and WOAH! I was RAPT!! Couldn't get enough of it!! I ADORE IT!! So after that, the rest of it, as they say, is history!! Adam Lambert fan to the MAX!! <3

I heard Adam's WDYWFM in a roadside restaurant somewhere in the Cappadocia region of TURKEY!!Imagine the shock, joy and surprise! This is south of Ankara, capital of Turkey, and is a cave-dwelling region visited by the tourists. This is a tour-bus stop, and I heard his sweet voice! This is truly a proof of his international appeal and global success. Congratulations!

OK, I think Neil is VERY smart and handsome to boot! Knowing how he and Adam used to not get along REALLY reminds me of my sister and I! LOL Guess that is natural for siblings...

As far as No Boundaries goes, #BigThumbsUp from Moi. I think Adam sounds fabulous as he always does.I also think it has meaning for him. He has "broken down" some hefty boundaries.
What can I say? I LUV everything Adam sings.

PERIOD

Sorry Neil, the genetic toss wasn't so kind to you. It's amazing how one brother radiates positive energy and the other, negative. Neil always talks about trolling everyone, but why does he enjoy doing that? I know there is strong sibling rivalry there. Of couse they're brothers, and they "love" each other, but when I saw them togeter interacting, I sensed that they don't have much in common. For me, Neil was the only negative about Adam's concerts, and I doubt he will again work for his brother. I could be wrong on all of this, but I trust my instinct and observation.

Anonymous said...

Adam asked Neil to work on the concert tour, he spoke about it in an interview, He needed someone who could "handle" things, who would be honest with Adam, not flatter him, who was a good judge of character and if a situation called for a "bad guy" Neil could fill the bill.

I think the genetics worked out really well. Adam is prettier, Neil is smarter (Adam's words).
Adam has a gift for singing, Neil has a gift for writing. Adam has an appreciation of the arts, Neil has an appreciation of political science,
Someday Adam can look back on a successfull music career and Neil will be Governor of California! I wish they were my boys!

About Neil..I think he is a good guy and not nearly as negative as he pretends to be..I've not met him personally, but saw him quite a bit at the Seattle Glam Nation concert, running around like crazy, the whole time, before and after the show..He has a great smile when he does smile. I think he is very smart, has a lot of different interests, and has even talked to me on twitter, when I commented on something he had posted about the Japanese nuclear reactor (go figure..) He is also artistic in his own way, and of course is a great writer, with a sense of humor that I appreciate. I still remember his blog post about this misadventures with a particular type of um...contraceptive device...I really enjoy all of the Lambert "boys: Eber, Neil and of course Adam.. What a talented and interesting family (not to forget Leila of course!).

I think no boundaries is a pretty awful song. Adam is/was too good for it but he did a fantastic job making a mundane song as good as it could be though!!
