I am going to check with a family member who has connections with the FBI and see if he knows of a process for following up on this. If I get any info I will notify Admin directly on how to take action.

In the meantime, if anyone knows how to begin the process of identification and prosecution, please let Admin and the authorities know.

If you all recall, only one person said they actually "hated the song" which may have been triggered by the lyrics if they are fixated on homosexuality. Maybe that set them off. Kind of a strong reaction for a long anticipated song. Not everyone will neccessarily like it,if they prefer Adam's upbeat rock style songs,and that's just a matter of taste but hate is a little harsh. I just see so many questionable things over a long period of time with a definite pattern. Poor Eva and Sanni had been targeted and the concert in Finland was obsessed over because Adam didn't do an encore, or only one song, instead of two. It was brought up several times, accusing Adam of slighting Finnish fans. That's when it all started. With the negativity escalating and individuals then being targeted. I don't remember the date of the Finland concert, but that is a reference point. As a result, we lost some really nice Finnish fans.This has really been going on for a longer time than I originally thought.

I think all of the posts since the Finland concert should be evaluated by a forensic psychiatrist. I'm done for now, but not through.

The concert in Helsinki/Finland was held on the 6th of November 2010. It was the same night Adam and Sauli met for the first time.

The admin(s) need to moderate every comment before they can be posted to the public.There are not so many comments in the threads generally so it'd be possible to do.Sauli's weekend style was one long positive thread but other than that...And this thread takes the cake.

I pray to God, that He protects Adam that evil will not be done to him. I pray that this tortured person will find peace. The song is of the pain of love denied from fear and ignorance. This person should be able to relate to it, as he clearly acts as though he is rotting in hell. Adam has bared his soul from the pain of society's rejection because of his sexuality(how else to explain the long and tortuous path of his career?), and through song compels us to understand his life's path so that we learn to be compassionate and accepting of others. I can only hope that Adam's songs and example serve as spiritual teacher and healer that will reach through this person's pain in time to realize that love is more powerful than hate, that grace abounds when hate recedes. atm

I'm confident that when admin becomes aware of this thread and the hateful comments posted here, it will handle things appropriately. They are probably not yet aware of what is happening in this thread.

In the past, RCA has investigated hateful and/or slanderous threats about Adam. No matter where these hateful words came from, they sicken me and break my heart. Adam has had to endure these things for years and to see them written in a blog dedicated to him is just too much to bear. Adam is the epitome of peace and love and respect for diversity. How anyone could spew such venomous hate is a puzzlement,even though we know that some people are blinded by hate themselves and must be miserable creatures indeed.

24/7 is poplated by many open hearts, minds, and souls and I would be deeply saddened to see it discontinued. We should not give in to this hate. I personally will not.

Adam's new song "Warriors of Love" is a beautiful, haunting and heartbreaking song when listened to in light of the hateful things said by whoever it was who said them on this thread above. Please may the hate stop here.

That second threat to kill was NOT a response to the person threatening to kill Adam. It was that same person threatening to also kill one of us. Read the comment that followed the second threat. The person admitted as such.

This is not a funny prank, even if it started out as one. The authorities should do what they can to identify this person. Who in the world would think this was funny or acceptable? If 8:19 really started this, just saying sorry isn't enough.

death threats on the internet from a minor = PERMANENT RECORD. And they have to spend time with psychiatrist or something. I remember a few years ago, there was this boy from high school posted a lot of death threats to a friend on facebook and he got sent to some sort of psychiatrist and prisons for juveniles for a couple of months.

The internet is serious business people. Don't take it for granted.

From what information I have been able to find death threats verbally, written or otherwise are considered a felony. In Florida punishment can be up to 6 years in prison and $10,000 in fines, but can vary depending on location.

I received a reply from the person I contacted and the response was that the police need to be contacted and copies of the posts saved. (I think ethically this is the responsiblity of 24/7 to report to the police and hold copies of the posts.) Reporting to the police will start the ball rolling. I made a copy of all the posts last night up to July 31st, 1:10am. Admin, if you didnt, I can send it to you as an email attachment.

To the kids who claim this as a prank and say you are under 18 years old and can't go to prison. Just know that children under 18 are sometimes tried as adults.

A better day to all and, hopefully, swift resolution.

We were trying to trend it hours before Adam suggested it. Some thought the hastag was keeping it from trending but the #1 Tweet was and STILL is: #reasonstobeatyourgirlfriend. It's a sad world we live in. All the more reason to feel safe in my world of Adam Lambert and Glamberts.

Glad this trouble is being looked at by authorities. Now, for lighter stuff: We can vote for Adam for the Sexiest man on 94.1 against David Cook. VOTE! I know some of us don't like polls, but let's win this for Adam.

In either case it does not excuse the violent threats and saying it all is a prank is not acceptable. Murder is not only committed by those over 18 and is not a security blanket from being prosecuted. There is accountability in life for our actions, no matter what the age. Especially they are only kids that needs supervision. They think they just gonna get away easily especially they have mentioned that they are under age!!!! You made a big mistake eventhough you are kids or whatever it's still a crime indeed!!!!

For the idiot person leaving all those horrible comments, I have a news for you, cloud networking is the next phase of internet technology and for people like you it'll be very difficult to hide behind your computer and write threatening comments even if it is for fun (sick). Lives have been lost daily because of people like you "JUST FOR FUN" threaten others on internet. So you better get some help cause if you continue with these type of comments there will be serious consequences and your life will be ruined for ever. Open your mind before it's too late.

Well, I don't know, my fellow ..Bert. The uninspired choice of words maybe?
"This FORUM would be great if people were NOT ALLOWED to post ANY COMMENTS". (I know, I know, who am I to talk about word choices, right?) I looked into some English dictionaries to see if they give the same explanations as those in my own language for the word 'forum'.... Guess what? They do! Would you check it out please? Not to say that, usually, the comment sections of the blogs are among the most important of their features.

And anyway, without this section, where else could the 'good' tags and anonyms be offensive to some (arbitrarily called) trolls, 'bad' tags and anonyms, and then praise themselves for their righteousness? I guess it's very comforting to have people supporting you while you say 'go fuck yourself' to whomever, isn't it? I guess it's all good as long as the targeted people are the 'right ones'... Apart from the obvious (like the ‘deleted one’ here), how do you separate the ‘rights’ from the ‘wrongs’ AND be absolutely certain about it?

Btw, another one of my 'life principles' is as follows: If someone speaks wrong about one or more of his/her enemies/acquaintances/friends/loved ones, I have no reason to believe that I (as his/her enemy/acquaintance/friend/lover) will be 'spared' in the future... Can you see my point here? That’s my path to... ‘taking things personally’...

OH, how I do love quoting myself! :-))

I missed this too. Thank goodness. From what's still here it's obvious this person (and his or her "friend" LOL) is a very disturbed individual. It's a shame they've focused their attention on Adam - but it could be anyone who attracts their sick obsession. I hope they can trace the IP address and track this twerp down before they do harm to someone - if they can't reach Adam someone else might be targetted. A prank? - I don't think so. And neither will the authorities. Sounds to me like someone's panicking and so they should. This stuff is taken very seriously these days (whether you're 8 or 80 years old).

Adam's management has been notified. Death threats are NEVER a "just a prank".

GLb- comments are usually sent to a spam box on blogger. My comments disappear frequently but they appear back in a few hours. Check back in a few hours and I'm sure your comment will be posted. It happens a lot with Blogger.

@Funnbunn40- Very well said! I totally agree with you. Those sick comments were the first thing I woke up to this morning and I was like WTF? I would go as far as to say I don't even believe they are under 18- anyway- thanks 24/7 for dealing with this matter and everyone else that got involved. I know there are strict laws here in U.S for this stuff, but I'm wondering if they are from another country, do they have the same kind-of laws. I hope they or whomever that person is gets caught real soon. Also, will we be informed of this or is this matter over? O.K. on to watching adams videos for the millionth time, had enough stress today.

I want to say again how disturbing this was today. I am so glad the authorities were notified of this. Threats of that nature should always be taken seriously. Never ignored. I am also so sorry that this blog, which was obviously begun as a labor of love and acceptance for Adam Lambert could today become an inadvertent place of fear and hate. I support and so appreciate the Administrators of this blog, who have been the wonderful source of the latest Adam Lambert information for me for well over a year. It must be extremely painful to them as well. Thank you so much for doing the good job you do.

I was out of town (back home now..), visiting friends and family on a couple of semi-isolated (and beautiful) Islands in WA state, and often even out of cell/internet range for the last two days, and was notified by one of the good people here that this was happening. I was horrified to read the hateful comments here, and was relieved to see that the authorities have been contacted, the comments were copied before being deleted, and the comments deleted afterwards.

We fans of Adam are a very dedicated and protective "family" who love Adam not only because he is immensely talented, with this beautiful voice that is so wonderfully showcased here in this new song, but because he has a kind, loving, gentle, generous soul and does not deserve the hateful things said today, for any reason, and we will do what we can to help keep him safe from harm. Those who say things like that here are hereby warned that true hate and threats against him will obviously not be tolerated here on this blog and they should expect to be deleted or in the worst case (for the perpetrators), reported. And may Adam continue his journey safely, with joy and love..

Thank you for helping to alert the proper authorities, and alerting Admin initially. I too have some connections to State and Federal authorities. May anyone trying this kind of hideous "Prank", as they called it, again be warned. I spoke with one of those connections this evening about what happened here, and that person agreed this was a serious matter and not to be ignored or taken lightly.

Could I really have stayed away for long from all the wonderful, crazy, fun people here on 24/7!?! :)

I learned about the Bystander Effect a number of years back and vowed to never just be an inactive bystander, assuming that someone else would take action when action was necessary.

The Bystander Effect, for those who may not be familiar, is an interesting phenonmenon that happens when there is a group of people, who are bystanders witnessing an event, but they do nothing, because they assume someone else will. It has been shown that when there is only one person or just a couple of people, that someone tends to jump in and take action. But when there is a larger group of bystanders, helping action is less likely to happen. There is a "diffusion of responsibility".

One case that initially coined the Bystander Effect is the 1964 brutal murder of Catherine Genovese, outside of her apartment in NYC. There were a number onlookers who were aware of the violence taking place and yet, no one took action as they watched her be brutally murdered. After 20 minutes one person finally called the police.

I believe that we are all part of a global community and need to step in take action to help, support and protect each other. And I think most all of us here on 24/7 would be willing to do just that.

I take kids out for the whole day, miss out all that terrible act. In Canada, we have law reinforcement deal with online criminals and most of them are traced and received their punishment. Sometimes their faces and identity are also published in the local news for the public awareness of their act!

People who lurk children/others or possess illegal photo or make threat against one particular group online. When those get arrest by police, it is shown on local TV taken from their home. People who finish their prison term and about to release and determined as an highly repeat offender, their name and whereabout are published for public to aware. I know how many sex offenders are living in my region. One time I even got warning letter from my kids' school to alert parent about someone spying on kids in my area.
