From Rakiongm:

"NCC PDS Performance. Basically, NCC stands for National Cadet Corp and PDS stands for Precision Drill Squad. This video was taken at Singapore, Tampines 1. No, i wasn't performing but i was record this for my friend. Top right corner, that's my friend."

OMG. That was pretty amazing! I wonder how many hours of practice went into that routine.

Anonymous said...

This completely cracks me up. I bet Adam never imagined this!

Adam singing "all we need in this world is some love" and a group of cadets with rifles doing a drill routine. Does anyone else besides me see the irony in this?

But that being said, they did a job! Everyone seems to want to cover, dance or choreograph to Adam songs these days!!!!! And that is all good. :)

Fabulous to hear Adams music in other countries! Yay Singapore! ... Adamluv

KOOL!!!They were great!

Anonymous said...

@ sister I too did see the irony in this, with Adam all about peace, and there are these rifles.Oh well, at least his music is being heard in all types of venues around the world.

Anonymous said...

I thought it was very cool. I wonder if Adam sees all these performances across the world of his songs. Does anyone let him know? His music gets used A LOT!

Great! I love anybody covering any of Adam's songs. Such an honor!

Anonymous said...

"So I got my boots on, got the right amount of leather..." and that's just about all that pertains to this performance of IIHY. But they did a great job and I love to hear Adam's voice any where for any reason at any time.

Anonymous said...

That's funny... No wait... what? "black color liner", "love", "right 'mount of leather", does it really make sense? Uh!!??

Anonymous said...

Loved it, but must admit it was a bizzare choice of song lyrics for the occasion, tho the beat is good.
Still its all good isnt it?

News:

If you have the OVAT (Ovation) TV channel, they are re-running "So You Think You Can Dance" from 2009 and tonight @ 9:00 - 11:00 pm EST is the finale where Adam performs. KLM

And look, they're not even worried they'll turn gay! This would NEVER happen in the US.
Love the way the outside world embraces Adam.

Adamluv said...

Anon 4:43 - good one!

Anonymous said...

Some music just comes and goes and some stay forever in our hearts and minds. Adam Lambert will have staying power! 4:43pm I think he is embraced here more than we realize. The negative few have the loudest mouths; we just have to keep up the support and some day that will go away. With his voice and talent a few homopobes aren't going to matter mark my word.

Anonymous said...

That's why we don't need to worry about Adams success.....

International fans are always on the go for Adam!!! Yes!!!

Anonymous said...

For those of you always putting down the USA, maybe you'd like it better somewhere else. You are correct, 5:26, it is a negative few.

The song choice may be odd but it's all good for our boy.

Anonymous said...

It sad to read that U.S. isn't protecting their own treasure..... Adam is one of the best that they have right now and we are still optimistic when the second album is release.

Anonymous said...

The irony didn't escape me, but my view of this is the transformative effect of Adam on all things martial. Not only are the cadet corps not practicing shooting (they can't be loaded rifles), they are giving us great performance martial art choreography. Might we infer: Make love, not war? atm

Anonymous said...

I loved this....and the music didn't seem so out of place to me. Since I was raised on military bases in the 1940's Sunday afternoon marching and drills on the parade ground was a must. Thanks to Glenn Miller's Army band introducing swing and jazz arrangements to the Army the parades were "hot". The favorite always played was Miller's "St.Louis Blues March." (It was stripper music) "St. Louis Woman, boom pa boom pa boom pa boom...
With all her diamond rings, boom pa boom pa boom pa boom...
Led that man of mine around by her apron strings,
If it weren't for powder and store bought hair..
That man of mine, he wouldn't go nowhere" etc.

The 40's were not prudish, jazz and swing were king!.........JAK

If I Had You, has been on the SG song chart for over 10 weeks at #1. These are secondary school students; many who later venture abroad may not return. So there is a concern. The 'You' in IIHY represents Singapore, more so a girl/boy relationship, also highly possible as these are 14-15-year-olds. The teacher is most likely trying to drum up the message of love for Singapore, I think. These cadets do their own choreography (not so experienced); if only Adam was there, he would have made it kick-ass; even building on an idea like this. I like the rifle twirling, should have exploited that a bit further, and a bit more body movements. I know they can, these are disco teenagers on weekends. Anyway nothing, yes nothing can go wrong with an Adam song and presence! Thanks Admin!
So Proud, Singaporean.

Great video! Adam's songs are perfect for anything, Never could understand why this song wasn't a bigger hit. It's one of the best songs ever. Should be double platinum by now.

Anonymous said...

that's what I call precision.

Anonymous said...

JAK, back in high school our marching band was considered a military marching band and we used to play the song to which you were referring and I believe the title on our sheet music read "The St. Louis Blues Mambo". It was always a big hit!

Forgot to congratulate the Singapore cadets and the videographer...Congratulations!! I wonder how many of them are Singapore Glamberts or have attended his concerts. Adam will come here to perform again, very very sure, you know why...Adam said so himself when he was here for the F1 concert. :)

I read another article about Adam's new pendant. Pennyroyal wants to raise $75,000 by selling this pendant. If they reach this goal total amount of Adam charities donations will hit $1,000,000

HAPPY AL:)

Amazing! Adam just keeps ruling the entire world, and this time in beautiful Singapore.
Congrats too for them all and the friend in the top right hand corner! Everyday it's exciting to see where else Adam has conquered. He WILL take the universe!

@HAPPY AL

$75,000 seems more reasonable than selling $1 mil in pendants. Thanks for the update.

for performing to Adam's song very well not because he's "gay" but because they love the beat of adams song!!!
if this is done here in USA, Oh boy! it'll be headline news that all's into a gay singer's song:(
Happy for Adam that he's a World Rock Star like Simon predicted!!!Yay!!!

Dear10:53, you've made a very accurate observation; that is, people here in Singapore don't care a damn who is singing a song; they just go for the song and the beat, exactly like what you said! In the case of Fever, it was #1 on the song charts for quite a number of weeks. We simply love Adam, those who have come to know him, like me, a diehard! Long live maestro Adam!

Oooooh...daydreamin, that's hot and bulging!! Ya, this is the edited part of IIHY, why? What's so bad about it? He danced heaves and thrusts, in perfect synchronisation with Longinue. What a waste! If it had been left intact, maybe the song would have gotten even better sales and charting. That and the walking through the forest at the beginning of IIHY would have tied in well on the video, because he went there to dance and have a good time. Sigh...que sera sera.

Yes we miss him, but this time we are not nagging and complaining about him not tweeting, like he OWES us. It´s a lot of teasing and in good fun. We know that it´s a lot of excitement in front of us and we can be patient (even if I´m pulling my hair in agony from time to time).
@HKfan, of course we missed you too :D.
Welcome back!

You cannot blame Adam, if you're bored. You need to get a life of your own, if all you can think is what Adam is doing 24/7 and does he work enough. He does. Many fans complained last album was rushed.

A great way to wage war. Have a drill competition to kick-ass music. Hey, the guys were great. Music pumping. We were more interested in precision than fighting. Loved the twirling, the forward thrusts. Wow! Love won! Adam moved into the strong-man-good-person world of universal goodness. Way to communicate thru Adam's super music.

Do you live in Singapore!?!?! Your post says, "here in Singapore". I have never been to Singapore. I hear it is a beautiful city! You must be very proud to see these cadets drill to one of Adam's songs! :)

Dear9:17, I like your comment a lot, unique concept, especially, "A great way to wage war. Have a drill competition to kick-ass music." It indeed was an NCC (National Cadet Corp) drill/precision competition held for secondary schools in Singapore. Later I watched another group (Singapore Chinese Girls School) using If I Had You for the same competion. Whoa, I thought, 2 schools using the same IIHY song. I think it's the march beat, the boom, boom, beat and Adam's beautiful wails which make the hours-on-end practices a lot more palatable. Many of them may be Singapore Glamberts (conjecture) who are real crazy for Adam; they have already been tweeting about whether Adam is stopping over the 3rd round; even before Adam's first single is launched; can't keep up with them. They already tweeted to Adam whether purple glow sticks would do, the last one was blue. They have to make the orders; I think they should call themselves Singapore Crazy Glamberts. And the lyrics of IIHY lend themselves to various interpretations. 'You' in IIHY can stand for Singapore for the cadets' love for their country; then for the crazy Glamberts definitely 'You' stands for Adam and finally, for their own secret/not so secret admirers. :)

Sister, you are always there for me! Good old soul, you. But I know you are young and crazy! You must be pretty too! Yes I am a born, bred and cultured Singaporean, Chinese by race and birth, have lived here all my life, under the hot sun; no need to look for the sun like handsome Adam, in Outlaws of Love, oooh, beautiful song. I was really proud to see these cadets doing their thing. I could have understated about the precision they displayed in the video. It takes hours and hours for everybody to synchronise. I have seen this done in the hot sun, at times, whenever I pass by secondary schools. When Adam was performing Fever at the Padang, huge open field, he had a very large ubiquitous fan blowing at him from just below the stage. It was very hot both him and the weather. And all the girls were squealing and screaming; you know why... the fan was blowing up his thin brown sexy shirt revealing his yummy tummy!! I couldn't sit still infront of my computer either, laughing and laughing sexcitedly! At the end of the Fever performance, a girl practically screamed her lungs out...Adaaaaaaam !! :)

Lam my, Singa-berta-porean! How exciting to know that you are half way around the world and right here at the same time!

Young, crazy and pretty you say? How in the world did you come to that conclusion? You are so funny...and really, really kind. :) At this point, I will just say thank you for all of those nice words (crazy is a compliment to me)...and if ever we meet then I will have to confess the truth beforehand! ;) LOL!!!

I love your description of Adam singing Fever at the Padang. "yummy tummy" indeed. I bet you were in front of your computer screaming "Adaaaaaaaam!!" sexcitedly, just like that young girl! LOL. I suspect you have a pretty wild and crazy side yourself! :)

Lam my, someday I hope to visit Singapore and feel the heat of the sun that you mention...and maybe even meet you! That would be so much fun.

Thank goodness for the internet where we can all come together from around the world to celebrate all things Adam. It will a global glittery explosion when Adam's new album comes out!

Oh, and love your poem.

Sister, young *ahem*, crazy, and pretty *ahem* LOL! :)

The fact you run around spraying people's hair with pink dye and glitter...well, isn't that crazy enough? Lol! Do you think you might some day get an Adam hug, like at one of his shows? Oooooh, I bet you won't wash that piece of attire, just so you can smell him every day!! Lol...:) Thank you for liking my poem and I also like the one dedicated to you...Cute cute cute.... :)

The performance was for a charity event to raise funds for children with cancer. All of us are from different schools, and we have one performer that already graduated from secondary school. There's no particular reason why we chose the song though, it wasn't because of the lyrics, in fact, we did think that the lyrics did not link to the event, but we decided to go ahead with it since the music is awesome anyway xD
Anyway, the rifles are dummy rifles, they aren't real =) PDS is a kind of fancy drill, meant for performances.
And yep, I was one of the performers =)

But I could feel they identified very well with you; they must have read about your spraying people's hair pink and glittery! But these are a great lot of teenagers, performing for charity events etc. Secondary schools in Singapore are all out to get these helluva energetic youngsters to do their bit for society. Recently, a similar group quite like this age, came around my estate to collect newspapers for their recycling project. But you know what happened, I took a chunk of their collected old newspapers from them instead of giving; needed them at that time. LOL !! They didn't know how to react and what to say! I thanked them profusely! I am a bit weird, not the so-called normal anyway. :)
