I have Comcast too and the guide has been incorrect. Vh1 is VH1 no matter what provider you have whether it is Comcast or time warner or a satellite so it will be ok...i work for a cable company for over 25 years

Can't wait to see the show. From looking at the VH 1 listings throughout the week, I think the show will be repeated at different times during the week. So check your local listings if you miss it tonight or want to see it again. I wonder if Adam is going to have a viewing party with some friends and family. It will also be interesting to see comments posted on this blog site about the show once it has been seen by fans. This is good publicity for the upcoming album and for those individuals who really don't know much about what Adam has been doing since his AI appearances,the finale, the IDOL tour and then his successful GNT. Excluding anything about his personal life(whether you accept his lifestyle or not), you have to admit that Adam Lambert is the most talented performer in the music industry today. In addition, he is articulte, smart, self-confident,stylish and so very good looking. You do not really find all these qualities in any of today's performers. He is just so unique in a world of "cookie cutter" music and entertainment.

L love seeing Adam promote himself on twitter. Have to do more often when new album drop. <3<3<3

Anon 2:32 - Love what you said about Adam. It's all so true! He IS so unique and all the other attributes you said of him. The VH1 special is on at 7:00 here in LA and I'm taping it for posterity to watch many other times - plus, of course, will be watching it. Can't wait!! LL

Oh Adam, you sweet innocent, no reminder is necessary. I pushed up dinner time, explained to my husband that he was OUT of the TV room by 9:50....I have recorders set in two rooms (don't trust that one won't go crazy and mess up) and just took my shower and slipped into my best Granny gown and puppy slippers. Now I just have to wait and wait for the next hour and 15 minutes to creep by. I called my daughters and told them....no phone calls between 10 and 11 pm
unless someone is in the emergency room!

I am definite that I am suffering from excess enthusiasm! Pitiful sight!.......^_^......JAK

10 minutes and counting!! So excited!!!

Anonymous said...

Over, why do I feel like crying? Re-hash of old controversy for 56 minutes and 4 minutes of GNT. Nothing new to excite possible new fans.
Terribly disappointed.

Anonymous said...

I feel the same. But, did we possibly hear the new album title?

Anonymous said...

Go to: behindthemusic.vh1.com for additional clips of Adam's interviews. They're great! Loved the special, even tho, as Anon 8:09 states, it was mostly about his sexuality. However, as Lyndsey Parker stated, it was done in a very positive way and Adam seemed to be glad to talk about it as such. So, I'm not disappointed but do wish they would have done more about his music. At least we got a wonderful hour of ADAM, so I'm happy and will go now to re-watch it (since I DVR'd it) :-) LL

Just finished watching Behind the Music. Interesting show, but personally I think I already knew most of what was presented. It was great to see Adam during the interview part(he looked terrific). From reading interviews, checking the internet, and Q and A sessions, Adam previously revealed mostly everything find out a bit more about his life at 18, the about himself from all these sources. I did club kid life, his role in HAIR and time in Germany and then back to Hollywood and the Zodiac Show. It was fun to see video of him as a teenager performing in school shows. Overall it was interesting just to have this recap of Adam's life and career, but I would like to have heard more about his upcoming album and any future plans he had. Maybe a little too much on his sexuality was presented, but that is who Adam is and he was willing to talk about it. And I suppose this show is good publicity for that second album to be released this fall. There he is articulate, smart, self-confident, candid and very focused on who he is, what he wants, and how to get it.

Anonymous said...

OOPS! Let me correct sentence that came out mixed up in 8:12 comments. .....Adam previously revealed mostly everything about himself and we find out a bit more about his life at 18,the club kid life, his role in HAIR in Germany and then back to Hollywoood.... (Sorry about the mixed up sentence).

Anonymous said...

enjoyed very much. Adam is so interesting when he talks.

Anonymous said...

Watched the show. Nothing new or exciting revealed. A bit too much focus on his sexuality although it was done in a positive way. Would like to have learned something about his second album so that might have pulled in some new fans. Adam looked amazing as he was interviewed. If he was satisfied with the show, then we should be happy for him.

Anonymous said...

Yes, the additional clips were great!

I wish the show told more about his charities and his fans and a little less about his sexuality.

Anonymous said...

There is only so much to fit into an hour show..thought it was very well done..charity mention would have been good..love seeing Adam on TV..he is so articulate...looks so good..gorgeous

Anonymous said...

Was disapointed with the show. I already knew he was gay, and that was the whole show. Not one thing new, just going over and over his sexuality. :(

LOVED the BTM Special!!! I know alot of it was mostly what WE his FANS know ... but for someone else who doesn't know WHO 'ADAM LAMBERT' is ... it was a good insight into this young SUPERstar's journey from obscurity into the spotlight. Now they'll want to hear ADAM's music from the glimpses of his GORGEOUS Voice on the Special ... go BUY his albums ... GNL DVD/CD ... read about his Philanthropy for all the charities he & his fans support. Beautiful story about a Beautiful MAN ... getting ready to watch again & TAPE it this time ... ADAM's STORY told the way ADAM WANTED it TOLD!! JMO

I crash every time I see a picture of him as Joshua in the 10 Commandments. This time I paused the recorder and just stared at him for about 2 minutes smiling my face off. A new pic for me and oh so oh so oh so gorgeous. Too much. Just too much.

Anonymous said...

If only they had shown a clip of his fantastic Is Anybody Listening solo that might have shook up a new fan or two. :(

Anonymous said...

I'm getting lots of negative phone calls from friends i encouraged to watch the program. They all expressed regret that his sexuality had made his life difficult and felt it was unfair, but no one expressed any interest in checking out FYE or his new album. "He has a nice voice but I don't like his music." That plan of mine was a fat flop.

Anonymous said...

A lot of the negative twitter comments I've seen tonight question why Adam rates a BTM special so early in his career with only one album out and really only one big hit. I clearly think it's because he is breaking ground as an out artist at the beginning of his career thus the focus not only on his immense talent but his sexual orientation. Despite controversial moments, Adam's star is rising. Glamberts who have memorized every bit of Adam information have to remember this special was not specifically made for you but for a wider audience who may not know anything about this man you adore. It was a positive yet revealing story of a different kind of struggle in an artist's life that will surely touch many viewers. I fully expect to see an expanded version including future accomplishments in years to come.

TXSparkler, good points in your comments above. Yes, I think this will win him new fans or at least those that were intrigued by him should most definitely be pushed over that fence now!

@Anon 9:49

You planted a seed. Job well done. When Adam's new album comes out they might just decide they like his new music!

@TXSparkler
I also think it will win new fans, and I also like your comment about "a different kind of struggle". Nicely stated.

@tess4ADAM I love your enthusiasm! :)

I only saw the first 3 parts on the other thread, but I look forward to seeing all of it when it is posted on VH1.com

I have watched the show twice now and I liked it. I enjoyed watching Adam, family and friends and I'm so glad that he didn't give up. The music world is a better place with Adam in it and hope to enjoy his music for years to come.

For all the posters here who were disappointed that it was all about his sexuality and not the music, the clue is in the title. Its called BEHIND the music, so the focus is on Adam growing up and the things he went through to become the person who and where he is today. And his sexuality is one of the biggest factors with that.
So nothing was new to us fans, but to the majority of people out there, who have not followed him before or since Idol, this would all be new info. And it was down very well, much less sensationalised than the ETHS. Hopefully many non fans or casual viewers will have watched and will change their opinions of him.

Adam is a very articulate individual. I love to listen to him talk during these interviews. From being an awkward, confused, depressed young man, Adam has become a very self-confident, candid, charismatic adult. The program shows his journey into fame and success and the struggles he had to encounter along the way. I,too, am so glad that he did not give up. To me, Adam is the most talented performer in the music business today and there is so much more to come with the release of his second album.

Anonymous said...

When a show co- host made a commit about Adam that it was over the limites what he did, at the music awards show and she will not be a fan. Sorry you just lost a fan Kathy L. Change is going to come, Adam is brilliant.
There are plenty of other proformers that do weird things on stage also. Some learn by there mistakes.

Anonymous said...

Lots of judging going around here. She judged him by what he did and you judged her by what she said. 2 fans lost.

@Shiggles

Awwww...gosh, shucks, thanks. :)

I think it's easier to come from a place of support and kindness. And, somehow, I think you come from that same place.
