He has a huge following of teenage girls as well as older women. He appeals to all ages but I dom't think he has a large number of male fans. I went to two of his concerts last year and the audiences were mainly women. The men in the audience were most older guys with their wives.
"Girls" of all ages love Adam...I've seen a wide variety of ages at his concerts..and more than a few men..My husband and son are fans..and have each been to several concerts...and they went willingly by the way! Also have pre-teen girls in the family (10 and 12) and they love Adam, and went to one concert..Women are definitely in the majority tho....We'll see what happens next time around..
I'm confused. Brooke's wedding was August 20th and we all know Adam was at the wedding - at a winery in northern CA. How could he have been in Charlotte??
@JAK, Well said. I agree! I was at the Charlotte airport 8/18 & 8/28. Any possibilty it could have been one of those dates? Think I'll have to check all flights to LA next trip! OT... Today I finally bought a new HD tv, hoping my indestructable Mitsubihi tv from 1981 would finally die. It didn't, but thinking this will be a huge year for Adam under new mgt, with new CD, album and tour, I need those Adam closeup and getting ready to see Adam on Project Runway and Majors And Minors. I also had bought his BlueRay GNT DVD along with the regular one and finally can see him in HDTV! I know Suz will be taking outstanding videos again once his new tour starts. I think he'll be in large stadiums and I don't want to miss a thing! Now to figure out how to hook it up! funbunn40
Actually Elvis had a lot of male fans because they wanted to BE Elvis, plus Elvis started out as strictly a country music artist and country has a large male audience. I'd never heard of Elvis until my boyfriend at the time and present husband saw Elvis with the Louisiana Hayride group that did a show at MacDill AFB in Tampa.Fl. Every airman on base bought or borrowed a guitar to try to emulate Elvis! Every other guy I met had developed a Memphis accent and a curled lip! This was 1955 and Elvis brought hot and sexy black music to a white audience in the South! He was a whirlwind and got the status quo, ALL SHOOK UP! He gave preachers everywhere the subject for their fire and brimstone sermons! Ah.......the good old days!................JAK
@JAK, do you think any of those men who looked up to Elvis & understanding what he was all about, gets Adam Lambert today? A real entertainer who is true to themself. & a great vocalist as well. I've seen young & old men at Adam's concert in Dallas. Adult couples , everyone ! I think a fan of Adam's is someone who truly gets him & appreciates his style of entertaining. I love Adam's theatrical side , he is just an awesome & out of this world entertainer! Mwah!! K
I can only speak for my husband, he was an Elvis fan eons ago but has no interest in Adam at all. He did watch most of Season 8 with me cause I was insistent about "my find". He thought Adam had a good voice, but he hasn't listened to any of his music since. He's strictly a cool jazz instrumental fan. The other men in my life are 52 and 53 yr old sons in law and 23 yr old grandson. None of them listen to Adam's music. Neither do my daughters, unless I order them "You have to listen to Outlaws of Love"! I'm living amongst unbelievers......so that's why I count on this group who "get" Adam's magic.......I NEED ALL OF YOU!.......JAK
Half the audience in Amsterdam at the Paradiso concert were young guys. There were lots of younger women there also. I can't think of an other artist who has such a wide range of ages and backgrounds amongst his fans
@ JAK, I have the same problem with my family (kids, grandkids, sibling & many cousins), co-workers and friends. They appreciate his vocals but that is as far as it goes. We DO need to stick together.
(I do believe my late husband would have liked him - he had a sophisticated and worldly taste when it came to entertainment.)
Maybe recording with someone? It stopped my heartbeat for a moment. I fly in and out of Charlotte several times a year visiting family. Flying to Portland, Ore in a few days - better have AL radar up and running - Who Knows?????
This beautiful girl is so lucky and i'm very happy for her. Adam looks fresh in this photo.
@HK fan - in the 10-10-10 concert in Manila i didn't expect to see thousands of young men and women having a blast with Adam's music. It was a delightful surprise for me. There were about 18,000 who attended this GNT. And the next day he left for Hong Kong. If i only had the means i would have followed him there :( But who knows i might just be able to do it in his next tour. I have enough time and better chances to work on it now. And when i do i'll be looking for you @HK fan \o/
OT
@JAK - i am so glad that everything is okay with you. Another one here in the same situation as yours. Btw thanks so much for the nice poem in another thread :-D
@AG - it's great to know that you are very much around. And i absolutely agree with you, we need to be here for each other. So @JAK i guess we are gonna stick together for as long as we can \o/
What is so great about this site is we do have each other to go on about Adam. We really get him and realize his unique talent and the excitement he brings in all aspects of him. I also have to ration the Adam talk, as I get polite nods and glazed over eyes if I get too carried away. They like him, but are more into other artists. Ity's nice to have this common bond with all of you! :) Nice to see you Poland loves Adam! Haven't seen your tag in awhile. funbunn40
@Bing I'll look forward to meeting you too next time round. I must admit, I also regret not going to the Manila concert, but I wouldn't have had anyone to go with. If it had been after the HK concert, I probably would have, 'cos as everyone says, when you've seen him, once is never enough.
Loved the judge on that Poland video, she started singing along in the first few bars of WWFM, both the female judges knew the song and had bug grins on their faces....and I don't think it was just because of the singer trying out..
Hi all, Jadam here. I am in the same boat as everyone here, my daughters listen to me go on about Adam and listen to what I play to them out of respect, but there are a few rolling eyes. They do agree he has a wonderful voice tho. My eldest daughter went to Australia with me, and really enjoyed his show. She came with me for company and I paid all expences, and it was worth it. Met a lot of fans I had talked to on sites. We have a New Zealand site here called Glambworld downunder.com. It is pretty quiet at the moment, but I am sure it will hot up soon. Some of the grls and a couple of guys have become good friends through it. I have a couple I still email accasionally and catch up. thats wht Adam does, he brings people to gether. Incidently to get back to my original comment I dont even mention Adam to my husband, he cant understand my interest(obssesion) LOL Jadam NZ
Jadam and all, I too get the glazed over and rolling eyes look from my sons and I don't even go there with hubby. He doesn't get this sort of celebrity fandamonium.
Poland loves Adam, my grandparents are from Poland and my Dad has started visiting family there after a pretty recent connection. Maybe someday I will get there too! Off to listen to you link...thanks!

Beautiful picture! And the girl's cute, too. LOL
I wonder what percentage of Adam's fans are girls this age and the percentage of girls over 50?
no such a thing as girls over 50. women yes.
Adam makes me feel like a girl.

Was he in Charlotte, North Carolina??????
Are they sure it was August 21st?????
Two years into his career, I wonder how many Elvis fans were guys?

There was a lot of men at his HK concert, and lots of fans in their 20's.
