Sauli tweeted the same thing with "my love !!" in front of the Happy Halloween. Both of them are handsome in this picture

Doesn't seem much like Halloween with the snow we got here in NJ yesterday. Tree limbs bending down or broken, power outages, lines down, etc. worse in certain parts of the state than others. Fortunately the sun is out and melting some of the snow. Don't know how many trick or treaters will be out tomorrow. I don't want to get stuck eating the cookies, candy and chips I have here!! Anyway, Adam and Sauli look interesting in their Halloween outfits. I mean, what else could they be... I wonder if they will be at Heidi Klum's party. Not exactly sure what night that will be. Can't wait to see other pictures.

My love <333333 Almost a year since they first met and Sauli finally said the L-word in some way (yeah we have gotten one interview but he never said a word about love lol). We Finns really don't use the word lightly so I imagine they must me very secure in their relationship and very happy together. They both look gorgeous too :)

Anonymous said...

Whew! They are both so gorgeous! (Adam the most!) HeHe

Anonymous said...

As a Finn I can imagine how hard time Sauli must have had typing the words "my love". I'm much older and I still haven't said that to anybody. :D

Please vote for Adam in the OMusicAwards in the FanArmy Category. This is the last day to vote. Thank you!!!

SG, not cold, as I and many finns have temper and can be fierce too, but more like reserved.

I'm sure Sauli has said the L-word Adam many many times, but he finally used it basically in front of the whole world. I'm so increbily happy for them!

Anonymous said...

There's also a pic of Sauli with Liz and Tommy. Liz looks good. Awww, Tommy and Sauli could be getting along with each other after all. ;)

Anonymous said...

10.50 Be reserved is O.K but I hope some day soon you'll have the change to tell somebody the L word. Is one of the best fellings a person can have.

I don't think he had any hard time writing "my love!!". But it's true that Finns don't so openly declare their love, even privately, unless they truly mean it! And by the way, who did teach Adam the word "Rakastan"(I love)?!!! So, I guess they have been talking about their warm feelings for each other for a long time!! When that picture was published, I thought it was even more about Sauli's feelings than Adam's because it was there in Finnish!

Anonymous said...

Anyone who doubts Sauli's and Adam's feelings for each other simply hasn't been paying attention. Sauli's very public tweet says volumes, esp. from someone who has tried hard to stay in the background. Hope it touched Adam's heart like it touched mine. Sometimes love is just love. Doesn't need explanation or analysis.

Nice the see the boys in their Halloween garb--glammery vampires. Works for me. Adam promised pictures...yes he did, so hope we see more.

Sauli reminds me of the assassin monk Silas in the film The DaVinci Code. Very scary.

My Finnish parents came to America before they had children. I grew up in a family filled with love which was stated daily. Now grown with kids of my own, my Finn husband and I tell each other of our love every day. "I love you" is said when hanging up the phone or when one of us is leaving the others if only for an hour. I'm not sure if it's a Finn thing or a family thing. BTW I love you all!

Anonymous said...

Adam may have told Sauli to say my love. He tells him to do most things. "Hold my arm", for instance. When they walked out of that restrnt a while ago.
I think its Adams way or no way.

Why is it so hard for a Finn to say the word love? This has to be on a person to person basis.

Anonymous said...

Adam looks so hot , Sauli freaky.

Anonymous said...

@ Anon 5:03 PM

Um, I think that's just a family thing. You're very lucky to have such parents.

I don't remember ever hearing my dad say the words I love you to me. I've always just sort of known that he loves me. My mom certainly always says, "daddy and I love you". I think that the stereotype of the reserved Finn unaccustomed to expressing their love, does (unfortunaly) apply to quite many people in Finland. Not all, of course.

I think it's a damn shame. There really is no better feeling than the one you get when hearing the words I love you spoken by the one you love.

A few years ago I dated a girl whose own mother had never told her that she loved her. Not once. So when I first had the courage to speak those words to her, she completely freaked. Talk about being an emotional cripple...

To Anon @ 5:45- It's Adam's way or no way. He tells Sauli to do most things. Do you really think that Sauli is that desperate or mindless that he would do whatever Adam tells him to do? Do you know Sauli personally to state this? I can only restate what I have read or seen in pictures. They look happy together; if that is love, then terrific for both of them. Here are two good looking men with their own sense of style and a relationship that seems to be working for them. And since Adam has said that he won't discuss Sauli, then everything else is strictly speculation on our part. I wish them both happiness and love.

@ Elli

My father's parents were from
Austria and his home was formal and cold. He left home at 14 and didn't go back till he was 28 years old. He took my mother and I (5 yrs old) to meet his parents. We were fed delicious food and given soft feather beds that smelled like lavendar to sleep in, but no hugs and little conversation. For three days my grandmother taught my mother to bake pastries and my father helped his father in an apple orchard of small new trees. The day we left my grandfather got up before dawn and tied apples on one of the small trees and called me outside and gave me a basket so I could pick apples. I was thrilled. My grandmother took my mother's hands and said "if I had searched the whole world over, I would have chosen you to be my boy's wife". That was the only time I saw them, but I assumed they loved us. What a contrast to my mother's large, noisy, funny, musical, huggy, kissy family. I'm glad I grew up with them! I think you need the words.......JAK

Anonymous said...

@Elli: I'm the Finn from the loving home.

I think why most people adore Adam is that they're drawn in by his music and then captured by the true love he shows his fans, his friends and his family.

I simply cannot imagine not telling my husband and my kids that I love them. I show it by the things I do for them and how I treat them, but a hug, a kiss and those 3 little words mean so much to me and for them.

The girl you said was an emotional cripple...that's what thinking you're not loved can do to you. It is so very sad...abusive in a cold silent way.

Anonymous said...

JAK - I'm shocked! You write so beautifully and always with perfect grammar. Gonna quote you here: "He took my mother and I (5 yrs old) to meet his parents." I, the one who edits everything I read, would have written 'He took my mother and me....' But then that's just me and I wasn't even there. lol :)

At least we readers learned how your grandparents were able to show love to your mother and you.

I, for one, enjoy your tidbits and stories which help lighten this site when it gets all "smarmy" (a word you wrote you liked) and scuzzy (one of my favorites).

ELLI - I have read many of your posts and never realized you are male. No wonder you have such good insight regarding Adam. Thanks, and you are appreciated here, too.

:))

I don't think Elli is a male.

Elli is a woman from Finland. A very sweet one!!<3 Know her only from the opinions from here, but seems so lovely FEMALE!

Anonymous said...

Sauli's father is a very loving father and shows his feelings. He has said that he love's his son and wants him to happy and he likes to hug.

Anonymous said...

12:52 AM continues: Sauli's fathers is in that age that it has not been a typical behaviour for men in Finland to show their feelings. For example my father never told me that he loves me but it came clear to me.

Anonymous said...

I have always liked=loved movies from the US where people say "I love you´s" in their families and meaning it!!! It did not happen in my family in Finland. No hugs either. When my relatives moved to Canada and US they started "I love you" there. So sweet!! So important! Sauli seems to come from a good family with open feelings.

@ 10:04 PM

As I stated some time ago one of the freedoms I adopted when I hit 70 was the freedom from ever vigilant grammar rules. I threw away most punctuation and only correct my own grammar boo-boos if what I have said incorrectly would change the meaning and make it hard for readers to decipher. Therefore I did not correct the "I" and replace it with "me".
But, it seems I alone attract the interest of the GRAMMAR POLICE!
Strange...when these threads are fertile ground for diligent policing. If I were "red penciling" errors my hand would cramp, but since I think it's rude to correct the grammar of others I don't have to worry about that.

You, however, take special interest in me. Smiley faces, lols and compliments always accompany your "corrections" to me.

May I politely say "Knock it off".

Oops, there seems to have been a slight gender mix up. Definitely a woman, me.

@JAK

Always so nice to hear stories from your life. It's obvious to me you've had a wonderful and eventful life. Thank you for sharing some of it with us :)

Ok, back to work now...

Oh, yes, I forgot about that - sharing personal info and stories... and well-meant (multi)language advise. :-) I used to do that here too, more than a year ago, in my "fresh in love" phase. I miss all that. Kind of. I'm not "fresh" anymore and my moldy/mocking kernel shows up at times. Maybe that's why I kept the distance lately, not wanting to mess with the 24/7 vibes.

I must be experiencing a "flight of ideas" right now :-) as you people make me think of long-living and beautiful creatures... I see here black corals, sea urchins, koi fish, and macaws.(I'm just a sponge. Or a mollusk). Guess who's a Major Mitchell's Cockatoo!? HaHaHa. The wisest one among us! Like the one that was immortalized with our boy in pictures. I love those photos. Better than any Halloween pictures. :-)

PS: Btw, 24/7 might be a good research field for cultural anthropologists (and psychiatrists :->)

Or something like that. Sorry, Beowulf (I think!) was just playing on a TV channel and it fitted fine. At least with my line of thoughts. :-))

Wow @ JAK

You seem so nice until someone calls you out, then here come your fangs and claws. Please In the future don't bother to write yet another story about why you are entitled to be wrong. #Boring

@10:04

I thought your post was meant in the nicest way, but some people...? Maybe on this site she should be dubbed "She Who is Always Right." Any Royalty out there with a sword who would like to do the honours?

AWW JAK I JUST LOVE YOU

@ 2:39 PM

Did you read the first paragraph of 10:40's comment? This is a pattern that I see again and again, first the "needle" then the "just kidding" part. It pops up much too frequently and has become very aggravating. Often enough that other readers have seen it.

So if you are 2:39 and 10:40-----
Please give it up! Since most readers of this sight have seen me apologize or correct a comment more than once, the "She Who is Always Right" crack I'll ignore.

10:26am - give it up. Look at Sauli's hair/shave! Do ya think Adam is likely to grow an emo mop? You're lucky he does not have a spray glittered mohawk and bill board pecs. They are such a cool pair of guys - just enjoy the ride!!

you know, for some reason both your comments made me think of the fantastic movie One flew over the cuckoo's nest. ever watched it? i think nurse Ratched's cap would suit either or indeed both of you grandly.

PS i counted at least 9 grammar mistakes in my comment. how many do you see?

My grandarents are like you describe. Not unkind but distant and don't show warmth. I was lucky that my mother didn't take after them. I can't understand why it's so hard to say I love you. Everyone needs to hear it from a friend or family.

If you could only look inside my chest what you'll see is a big smiling heart. I understand from the posts of our Finn Glamberts in this thread that they aren't as expressive compared to others when it comes to such emotions. That's why i find the post about "MY LOVE" truly special coming from someone who has been very discreet about their thing for each other. It's just a big deal for me as an outsider looking in and i'm simply elated for our Diamond Boy.

@Fan4fun and @Icon you are dearly missed here. Hope all is well in that side of the world :D

Now back to my flailing teehee. It's quite hard to explain my ability to spot a couple who is genuinely in love and that applies to Adam and Sauli. I think it has a lot to do if you've been there yourself. Seeing this amazing couple brings back a lot of cherished memories to me teehee. Anyway i would just like Adam to know that even his nice relationship with Sauli has a very positive impact in my life and i'm grateful for that. I'm going through a lot right now and 24/7 is one place i would go for my Adam fix. So things like this help perk me up.

Btw @JAK i do love reading your stories, please keep them coming. When people would ask me what countries i'd like to visit, my answer would always include Austria because i grew up with THE SOUND OF MUSIC. It has remained a dream but who knows what the future holds. I might get my chance someday God willing. Stay well and safe JAK :-D

Sauli has been liked and in my opinion even quite pampered semi-celebrity here in Finland. Now that Sauli is Adam's boyfriend and partner he must for the first time confront stronger criticism and even hate by those Adam's fans who don't approve him, but I think he'll survive.
