Great looking, great speaker, great personality! OMG! THE highlight of the show. So glad he is back on the AMAs. So is he. I LOVE him; simply the best!!!

Now that's the way to introduce an artist. Adam is so poised, eloquent and drop dead gorgeous.

Reality Rocks article: Lyndsey Parker:

"Adam Lambert Returns to the AMAs, For Our Entertainment"

Two years after Adam Lambert kissed a boy and ABC executives didn't like it, during his notorious and now-legendary show-closing performance at the 2009 American Music Awards, the "American Idol" rabble-rouser returned to the show as an AMAs presenter this Sunday, effectively ending the network's unofficial Lambert ban and bringing the controversy-baiting Idol's crazy career full circle. "Has it been two years already? Wow, time flies," he quipped, as he took the stage wearing a natty suit and a knowing smile.
While AMAs executive producer Larry Klein recently insisted to The Hollywood Reporter that Adam was never actually banned from ABC, the fallout following Adam's racy 2009 performance--which, along with a same-sex smooch with his bandmate Tommy Joe Ratliff, featured a pack of dancers on S&M leashes and a certain simulated sex act, in case you missed it--was immediate, with Adam's planned appearances on the ABC shows "Jimmy Kimmel Live," "Good Morning America," and "New Year's Rockin' Eve" swiftly canceled and never rescheduled.
Thankfully, none of this seemed to derail Adam's career; in the short run, the scandal might have even helped him, in an age when any publicity really does seem to be good publicity. The performance took place on the eve of the release of his debut album, For Your Entertainment, and it certainly got people talking, helping FYE sell 198,000 in its first week and debut at number three on the Billboard chart. The hubbub also caught the attention of overseas media, in countries where fans tittered amusedly at America's "uptight" TV standards. In many ways, the incident made Adam a cause célèbre. But in the long run, there were repercussions beyond the 1,500 or so complaints to ABC that night: For months afterwards, the scandal was brought up in practically every interview Adam conducted, and he could never live it down. That 2009 AMAs performance was supposed to introduce to the public the actual excellent music he'd just put out, but sadly, it ended almost entirely overshadowing the music instead.

Part 2 of Realty Rocks article:

But now, in retrospect, it's understandable that ABC and the AMAs would welcome Adam back with open, studded-leather arms. Controversy is great for ratings, after all. Let's face it, the only segments of any awards show that viewers remember are the zany moments (Soy Bomb bumrushing Dylan at the Grammys, Kanye interrupting Taylor at the VMAs, Britney and Madonna engaging in their own same-sex liplock at the VMAs). And surely the only thing anyone remembers about the 2009 AMAs is Adam's wild performance. ABC ought to be thanking Adam, really. So maybe the invitation to come back to the AMAs was a thank-you, of sorts. (Conversely, while onstage, Adam emphatically thanked producers for the opportunity to return to the AMAs stage.)
Honestly, this year's AMAs show was so dull, and so light on true watercooler moments, I bet producers were secretly hoping Adam would do something jaw-dropping, something "outrageous," just to generate some sort of buzz and spice things up. Unfortunately, Adam didn't perform, he just introduced OneRepublic (a band featuring his frequent collaborator Ryan Tedder)...but still, it was all very exciting.
Adam Lambert's career is coming full circle in other ways besides his AMAs return. For instance, a couple weeks ago, he reunited with his "American Idol" Season 8 finale duet partners Queen at the MTV European Music Awards in an amazing, widely lauded performance. And this weekend, he revealed the details of his upcoming single, "Better Than I Know Myself" (co-written by hitmakers Dr. Luke, Claude Kelly, Ammo, and Cirkut) and the title of his For Your Entertainment follow-up album. The album title? Trespassing. Ha.
But Adam wasn't trespassing at the AMAs this Sunday. He was an invited special guest, and it was great to see him back.

So gorgeous!

It was nice they mentioned Adam's new album when they introduced him. I hope the program got good ratings. Him and Sauli looked so handsome.Adele just won pop/rock album. yay!!

Whew! Adam does it again ! How can he look more and more gorgeous on each and every RedCarpet. So handsome standing up there on stage. Yes, I remember the silver 3 piece suit he wore at the 2009 AMAs. He just changed the outer jacket to what seems his favorite style now, the long black jacket.

I think he handled himself with terrific poise and charm. He got a wonderful reception when he walked out, I'm so happy for hi. I guess now ABC has publicly welcomed Adam back. Thank goodness we can put that behind us since Adam has.

Thank you Glitzylady for posting the Reality Rocks article by Lyndsey Parker. She's always supported Adam and has written many complimentary articles about him.

I hope all the tweetberts are tweeting something nice to Adam. I thought the show was very good, so many talented people in the world. I think next year at this time Adam will be on the program singing away.

He is so YUMMY!! What a waste not having him perform. I changed channels after he was on.

Adam (of course!) looked swoonworthy tonight. I was grinning like a maniac at the great ovation and cheers that erupted when he came on stage - and even Adam seemed surprised and happy. He and Sauli are a beautiful couple!

Well thank heaven...I came here as soon as the show was over to see what happened!!!! I didn't see Adam present. Our security alarm went off and we were scurrying to shut it up and obviously it was during Adam's brief time on stage. Not knowing I had missed him I sat thru the whole darn show waiting waiting! :( Didn't get to tape him, but thank you admin. I got to see this clip! He was beautiful and charming....of course!

Knocked it out of the park again. I really felt his peers gave him a much needed welcome. I felt so good for him.

Many thanks for posting the article glitzylady.

Adam's intro speech was fab and he looked a million dollars.

I really think Adam could be the host of an awards show - he is so talented at speaking in public.

I've seen some other people comment that, not only was Adam wearing the same vest and pants from his 2009 infamous performance, but Sauli was wearing the tie from that outfit!!! You sneaky, clever devil Adam!! How ironic -

2012 is Adam's year. No one really comes close to his talent. I loved his little laughter. He seem to get the message across non verbal communication.

Anonymous said...

he looked different, like a face lift different?

Adam was great. Couldn't see the whole show, because I live in Europe, but Ama's seem to be a more formal event than the Ema's. Very close to the Grammy's I think.

Oh Adam what else can i say, you are exceptionally charming as ever, naturally articulate and your impressive stage presence can't be denied.

I am also grinning from ear to ear that you wore the same vest and pants in 2009 with Sauli wearing the tie. I get the subliminal message Adam, very clever indeed.

These past weeks you have reminded the world how multi-talented you are being first and foremost a consummate performance artist, then as a mentor or even a judge in various artistic competitions. And now i can also imagine you hosting shows. No wonder you are so confident about yourself Adam. You are blessed with many interesting skills that you have been using to enhance people's lives. That must be one of your missions in life Adam. And i'm forever grateful to continue to experience the wonders of having you in my life.

Congratulations for this Adam and i'm also thankful that the AMAs had a sudden change of heart. Just wondering here if the EMAs had everything to do with it. But it doesn't matter to me anymore as long as Adam is all good with it, having stood his ground, never apologizing for anything and still be able to express his political statement in his own apt way. Definitely a win/win for our Diamond Boy!

Indeed the AMA 2009 pants and vest and it looked like Sauli wore the tie from that night. Beautiful touch!!! Ha!!! Love ADAM!

Anonymous said...

Adam Levine wishes he could move like Jagger, what a let down on that song.

Anonymous said...

Ah yes, the infamous vest, pants and Sauli tie... is on the rebound for the AMA's! Adam is a genius!
HA!!!! HA!!!! HA!!!!...and how
adorable they both looked!

I LOVE One Republic. One of my fav bands.

So I know this a blog about Adam...But I need some advise... So I was asked to march in a pride parade...I really wanna do it but my mom said she doesn't agree with it...What do I do? I'm proud to be Bi but my mom seems to not like it.
She tells me all the time to not tell people that I'm Bi because she feels that it's wrong.
What do I do?

shayna said...

Tasty in EVERYTHING he wears.

Dear Shayna,

It's to hard to give a good advise to somebody you don't know and even given it with all good intentions you can do more wrong that right but I think you should go to a gay organization or group on your comunity and ask them, they will give you the best advise.Talk to someone you trust. I'm gonna say just one thing, think with your heart and you head before you decide to do anything.GOOD LUCK!!

WOW. DAMN, handsome charming, fabulous outfit, flawless presentation. Thank you 24/7 for posting these fabulous events so quickly, especially for those who missed.
Soo happy to see Adam back on the red carpet where he shines so brightly, and next year hope it's also on the STAGE where that shining light turns to brilliance for all the world to see.

Glitzylady, Daydreamin, thank you both for always going the extra mile and sharing all you find with us.
Hmm.. let's see if he makes 'Fashion Police' this week??

DOES anyone know what the viewer count for the AMAs was this year???

@Bing - Once again your comment sums up so eloquently and truthfully “all things Adam” that we have had the honour of witnessing and watching during the last few weeks: Listening to his wise words and encouragement to young talented children, lovely red carpet moments with and without Sauli and that totally A--M-A-Z-I-N-G, forever unforgettable Queen medley… Thank you for always being so supportive and positive (in the best sense of those words).

Adam is such a talented speaker, fluent and quick witted. His PRONUNCIATION is exemplary and “listener friendly” (whether he sings or speaks) in which ever country he visits. He’s music to my ears even when he isn’t singing…
