The heavily-praised 'American Idol' runner-up and Grammy Award nominee Adam Lambert officially came out to the press as gay in a 2009 'Rolling Stone' interview, saying, "I don't think it should be a surprise for anyone to hear I'm gay," adding, "I'm proud of my sexuality."

Adam's in some great company on this list!
Adam looks spectacular. He has revealed so much about himself to us in the past several years, probably even more than we should be entitled to know. But let's not always identify him as a gay celebrity, a gay singer,etc. He is the best talent in the music business today and it just so happens that he is gay. That should not be an issue, but unfortunately for some it still is. He is in great company as has been said, but his voice is what makes him so special and hopefully with the release of his sophomore album, Adam will get the fame and critical acclaim he so deserves.
