Adam Lambert Album "Trespassing" #1 on Amazon's Movers & Shakers Ranking

Filed Under ( ) by Admin on Saturday, December 17, 2011

Posted at : Saturday, December 17, 2011

It is currently #153 in Music overall. When "For Your Entertainment" was up for pre-order in 2009, it took it less than 24 hours to hit #1 on the overall ranking, can "Trespassing" do the same thing? Pre-order the album if you haven't!

Just ordered one Trespassing and one Trespassing Deluxe. I will do everything to support Adam and his amazing talent. Of course it will give me wonderful hours of ecstasy listening to his album in March!

Oh! dear I just checked the twitter fandom that the Christian For A Moral America is trying to sabotage Adams latest song to the radio 98.5 KTIS.

These people are bloody hell fools!!!!!

I'm a Christian and crazy in love with Adams voice!!!!

No brains at all hmmmmmm:(((((((

What's the difference between the "Trespassing" Deluxe & the reg album??I WILL buy @ least 2 albums, but couldn't see an explaination on Amazon or any place what the difference is.

Anonymous said...

Canadian, what does that mean? They want to play it on that channel? 8:17 the deluxe has more songs.

Anonymous said...

What possible reason could Christians For A Moral America have to sabotage the song? Is it simply because Adam's gay? Sheesh! All the more reason to buy the music and request it on the radio. I can't believe these crazies have much influence anyway. Like I've said before, being an Adam fan is not for the timid or the faint of heart. Never a dull moment in this fandom.

The Christian For A Moral America (organization or movement) are asking everyone to boycott Adams Music to any radio station. The 98.5 KTIS is on board right now.

Foolish people with no hearts at all!!!!!

They can't stop Adams fandom and he is going on top no matter what!!!!

Now Trespassing is #44 best sellers and #43 in pop, up 20 or so spots. Good job, order it if you haven't yet! Will be exciting to see where it is tomorrow.

Anonymous said...

Those numbers were on Amazon but I'm sure you figured that out.

Anonymous said...

Canadian, he needs radio play no matter what!! The single will go no where without it.Oh why oh why can't there be dull moments aroung here. kinda lol

Anonymous said...

Don't worry that radio station is a Christian music station. They wouldn't play pop music anyway. Adam's song will be all over top 40 and AC stations. It's been getting great reviews and seems this time the dj's are excited to start spinning the song. It's all good!

glitzylady said...

I heard about the boycotters even though I haven't been on twitter for hours. I doubt it will affect most stations outside the Christian station community..somehow I don't see them playing much "secular" pop music anyway, but correct me if I'm wrong. I would guess too that their other intent is to create problems with other non-Christian stations, to encourage parents to ask Top 40 stations not to play Adam's music, simply because of who he is, or rather who they THINK he is. I hope most can see through that. Its ironic that a beautiful love song, whose message is LOVE and nothing else, is already being boycotted. I also would bet money that many of those supporting the boycott have not even heard it, and are following along, blindly. There are far more disturbing songs out there in the Pop Music world. Discriminatory and hateful are the best words to describe this boycott crap. I hope it goes away quickly.

Glitsylady Do you think they are upset about the song or because Adam is gay? I don't see them boycotting other gay artists like Sir Elton John and Lady G is suppose to be bi. There are more and more gays on tv also.

Pure speculation on my part, but I cannot imagine WHY they would be upset with "Better Than I Know Myself". There is NOTHING in there to be remotely upset about. So that takes us the the other far more likely part of your question. I would guess it's a holdover from his controversial appearance two years ago, when became very high profile and "visible", and because he is gay. It would make more sense to me, in a sad sort of way, if they were boycotting "Outlaws of Love", not because they should but because they might not like the meaning behind it. Adam is a sweet, honorable, proud, talented, and decent man who wishes to live his life in a meaningful and loving way, and wouldn't hurt a flea. He also loves to sing and entertain. I doubt those boycotting his music really know anything about him, beyond what they THINK they know. I think they erroneously perceive him as a threat. They are so wrong.

Here's another really positive and enthusiastic review:

"Adam Lambert aims high with “Better than I know myself”"
by KC Claveria | Filthy Pop | Vancouver Music Blog

"Adam Lambert is set to release his sophomore album in the new year, and he’s starting off this new era with a big bang. His lead single, “Better than I know myself”, hits the spot in all the right places, and I’m predicting it to be a huge hit.

To put it quite simply, “Better than I Know Myself” is pop perfection at its finest: it sounds current and “in”, but it also doesn’t quite follow the most popular formula. Instead of hooking up with someone like David Guetta, Lambert called up professional hit makers Dr. Luke (responsible for Katy Perry‘s Teenage Dream) and Claude Kelly. Avoiding the predictable dance route, Lambert took his previous hit “Whataya Want From Me” and updated it with more restrained vocals and a more genuine delivery.

The emotion behind the song is what truly elevates it. Whereas 90% of pop music offerings right now are about sex, drugs, and more sex, “I Know” tackles a more emotional subject. The song starts on a reflective and even regretful tone as Lambert sings “Cold as ice and more and more bitter than a December, winter night that’s how I treated you”.

But as the song progresses, it becomes clearer that “I know” is about holding on to a relationship no matter how many times you’ve thought about leaving. Backed by a drum-lead chorus, Lambert sings, “If I wanted to leave I woulda left by now but you’re the only one that knows me better than I know my self.” The American Idol runner up puts his heart and soul into the song, and it works.

The song’s one downside for me is the lack of a single climax. With his stunning upper range, Lambert could have easily added one high note after the bridge or just before the song’s closing.

But that’s really just a minor detail though as the song does show off Lambert’s vocal chops several times. The chorus is the absolute highlight, with its strong beat, catchy lyrics, and anthemic melody.

For the past two years, pop radio has been cluttered by too many house- and dance-infused tracks, many of which are peppered with vapid lyrics and formulaic beats. It’s great to see a pop-rock single (with some R&B leanings) bursting into the scene. Here’s hoping “I Know” becomes the big hit that it deserves to be."

you don't understand the christian thinking. All Adam's love songs are about a man loving a man. They follow the bible , that says its wrong. Adam has been really pushing being gay by having Sauli on the red carpet with him now.Actually flaunting his beliefs.I wish that they would leave the judgement of his lifestyle, to God and himself. If Adam is wrong in his beliefs, then he must answer for them, not us. I am not a troll, and have already placed my order. I love Adam's voice, and if that is wrong, then I must answer for it too.

Anonymous said...

Anon@ 12:16am: Being gay is not about BELIEFS. It's as much a part of someone's being as color of their eyes or their shoe size.

I respect Adam (and Sauli) SO much for "flaunting" their orientation, in other words being true about themselves and showing their true selves to the world. It takes a lot of courage to go to the red carpet at American Idol or AMA together. Most gays in entertainment (musicians, especially actors) are tightly in the closet. Can you imagine living a double life year after year? Maybe more people, both celebrities and the regular folks, get to be themselves when they see that you can do that and still be successful. Adam is one example, lovely and amazingly talented Neil Patrick Harris is another.

...And yet ANOTHER Rave Review:

THE PROPHET BLOG

[REVIEW] ADAM LAMBERT – BETTER THAN I KNOW MYSELF

"The sophomore slump is something that every artist has to worry about at some point, but the chances of falling victim to it are especially high for Idol alumni. Once all the hype dies down and the next batch of talented hopefuls hit TV screens, old favorites are quickly forgotten and replaced with fresh faces, and thus the wheel keeps turning.

Adam Lambert may have outsold Kris Allen, graced the cover of Rolling Stone, and become the biggest star that American Idol has produced in the past five years, but now is when the hard work really begins. With a hit album behind him and Idol now a distant memory, Lambert and his slickly-gelled quiff are now in the big leagues competing against the Katy Perry’s and Rihanna’s of the world, and anything less than pure pop perfection just won’t be good enough.

But Adam knows that. As an avid Top Forty listener who cites the likes of Lady GaGa and P!nk as personal favorites, Glambert understands exactly what it takes to make a good pop song, so it’s only natural that he’s enlisted the indestructible team of Dr. Luke and Claude Kelly to helm his new single, “Better Than I Know Myself”.

“Better Than I Know Myself” positions Glambert somewhere between being the male Katy Perry and the gay Bruno Mars. The production is tighter than a Thai teenager, with cascading, Tedder-style drums and twinkling piano melodies that have been carefully engineered to burn a hole in the Z100′s afternoon playlist. It’s incredibly radio-friendly, but at the same time, it doesn’t feel even the least bit redundant or generic.

Lyrically, Lambert takes a more realistic look at love than most made-for-radio pop ballads before him have, confessing his flaws as a bad boyfriend, while desperately professing his undying love at the same time. For a Top Forty tune, it’s beautifully poignant and honest, containing that rare type of magic that’s made records like Katy Perry’s “Teenage Dream” and Kelly Clarkson’s “Because of You” so timeless and touching.

And as much as this is the masterwork of Dr. Luke and Claude Kelly, Glambert deserves just as much of the credit as the hitmakers behind him. It’s his emotional delivery that truly brings “Better Than I Know Myself” to life, topped off with those now trademark rock star high notes that have made the 29-year-old one of the finest male vocalists in the industry today.

As far as pop music is concerned, it just doesn’t get much better than this. With songs this stellar, Adam Lambert could be looking at his very own Teenage Dream when Trespassing hits stores this March."

SCORE: 4.5/5

How come we never see Jews for a Moral America groups? Perhaps it's because they leave your relationship with God between you and God? Because they don't think it's their mission in life to judge others.

If Adam were a cringing, closeted, fearful, ashamed homosexual he would be ignored by the self righteous hypocrites. They can't bear that he is unashamed of the fact of his orientation, that he choses to be proud of himself as a hard working, successful, talented singer who just wants to live his life, not judging others and accepting himself as God or Nature made him. His being so open is what drives them crazy. As proof he's a sinner, he must fail! And it's their job to see to it!

If anyone is cringing it's probably God and ashamed of the term 'christian'. I believe in the days of Jesus they were referred to as Pharisees. The ones who make a big show of their piety and who have hearts filled with hate.

Christian is suppose to mean Christ-like. Do any of these fanatics remind you of what we know about Christ?

@ HK fan

I looked up the link about Gay Bands and the danger of them recruiting your children thru music into homosexuality. What dedicated people these are...I counted 130 bands and/or people on their list! Including Frank Sinatra!
They gave an email address so that we could inform them of other bands to add...as we ferret them out. Apparently it's a time consuming job and they welcome the assistance in judging and evaluating dangerous gay recruiters.

I emailed the guy and suggested that though I'm sure God appreciates their assistance, that God is pretty capable and if he felt the need could zap all 130, well, Franks already gone. I'm not quite sure how his music could "turn" their childen...Maybe "Strangers In The Night" or "My Way" was what put him on the list!

Do children listen to a lot of Frank Sinatra music?

JAK...feeling a little snarky
