Today, I was out for most of the day and I heard Ricky Martin and that country singer lady (sorry I forgot her name) on the radio. I thought to myself these two artists weren't true about themselves and walked on red carpet with a girl or a guy. They sold millions of albums just by not being honest about who they are. After they made their millions they decided to be honest about their sexuality to the world. People still love them and cheer for them even though they lied.

Here we are fans of a remarkable person, Adam, who is truthful and honest about his sexual orientation (that's how God has wired him. It's not his fault. He's born this way). Yet we see and read so much hatred on blogs and in the fandom towards Adam. Because he's honest!

What kind of a world are we living in? Lie to people then you can get ahead in life. Be honest and truthful to people then you can get scorched. WHY?

I burned a cd yesterday of Adam favs and blasted this song on my car radio in the parking lot of my supermarket just tying to do my part to spread the awareness. It is a good thing my 40 something year old kids live out of state because I'm sure this would trigger another intervention conversation!

Adam and Sauli really are the hottest couple in the whole world! No one can be hotter. They look amazing.

8:29am, I think that 7:27am meant something different with the word "act" than what you understood. "Act" as in do things in public that show that they are gay, such as holding hands. This is about being true to themselves, and "acting" accordingly.

I am hoping that this bill is passed and Washington State becomes the 7th state to legalize Gay Marriage and the only one in the Western US.. You don't know WHAT All could have been keeping them from coming out of the closet. Admire Adam all you want to and be positive about that, but STOP judging something you know nothing about. Re; marriage equality - just read that the New Hampshire legislators currently have a bill on their desks to do away with marriage equality in their state. Unbelievable! The article is NOT homophobic. They are treated as any other couple. There's only the offical police report now included. Nothing new really. Except that boys kissed a lot while wrestling. And that boys don't remember anything. And that Adam got a good attorney right away. Adam is not mentioned at a bad way as a person. The incident was handled as a lovers quarrel. So, now we can move ahead and concentrate on Adam's music and the tv shows. Finnish radio stations play Adam's music and mags write about Sauli's jogging, so everything is well in the end.

Ricky Martin mentioned on his BTM that he didn't want to jeopardize his career if he came out in public. So he adorned himself with women on red carpet events to disguise his true identity. Money came before his honesty.

Do you care about tabloid magazine which you can see in any grocery stores? I don't.
Also, Adam and Sauli look fantastic on these pictures! I thought everybody agree that bad publicity better than no publicity.

For info only - Adam still losing by less than 1% on the Q102 poll. My theory is - I don't think Avril Lavigne is that popular. I think all the people who are voting FOR her are Adam haters, and just don't want to see him win.

Thanks for letting us know what was said in the article..since it was too small on my laptop screen I couldn't use any translation app to know what it said...It was inferred by others that perhaps it was perhaps more sensationalist over the top exaggeration of the incident..I don't think I was worried about it being homophobic at all, just hoped it represented the truth...All along the police report said that there was not really much going on, other than yelling and wresting...and as Sauli said "hugging"...and two guys that needed to sober up. I'd love to see an exact translation..maybe I will somewhere...But thanks again...

I don't think it's proper to judge Ricky Martin too harshly. He started out in a boy band, Menudo. That bands target audience was young fangirls, and they had plenty of young girls idolizing them and falling all over them. It could have hurt the band's success if Ricky had come out then. He may not have even been sure of his sexuality then. As he got older, so what if he hid it because it would have hurt his career. That speaks more of the society we live in than it does of a singer just trying to get ahead. He did come out later. I often wonder how many celebrities never come out at all.

I think a lot of delay on Ricky's part was due to his families affiliation to his church. The disapproval of the Catholic faith held him back and was a hard thing to admit to. I think his final decision was made to be honest with his children.

I believe I remember in an old interview that Adam said he would never presume to tell all gay people that they had to "come out." Each person's situation is different. Just because it was the right thing for him to do doesn't mean it's the right thing for everyone. Some gay people would really be in jeopardy if they came out. Someone might even harm or kill them, even in their own family. So don't assume that just because every gay person doesn't come out, that they want to "lie" or not be truthful. Circumstances are different for everyone.
