How sad that a tweet like this from Adam is even necessary. He's brave, but how must he feel inside? Such an uphill battle for such an outstanding talent. The irony is huge.

How sad indeed. Since I'm not on twitter, is this one from Adam referring to the announcement of his performance with Queen? I've read that there are many Queen diehards that don't think anyone can/should replace Freddie. If they took the time to stop hating, they would know that Adam has said he is NOT trying to replace Freddie -- only honor his memory. Sad ...

I am not sure what this is all about, but if it's the Queen diehards, would they rather that the two remaining members get up on stage without a singer. It's about celebrating their music and the spirit of Freddie for an entirely new generation. These people are idiots.

This is really sad. I don't think this is from Adam's twitter but under comments about Sonisphere. These diehard Freddie fans should realize Adam is not trying to replace Freddy but honor him! It amazes me how hateful people can be and I hurt for Adam. I know he will blow them away with Queen and they can all eat their words, Karma is a bitch!

Look, Adam is, in spite of what we all like to believe, a human being with feelings. He wasn't so much calling out the haters, as telling them FU, I'm stronger than that hate. I've been reading some of the various postings about the Sonisphere-Queen concert and yes, there are many Queen fans out there who do not approve..but they would not approve of anyone really. Some want a Freddie clone..some want Queen to disband and no longer play the music, out of respect for Freddie. Whatever the case, they disapprove of Adam and therefore wish to discredit or insult or dismiss him. Many don't even know anything about him but don't like him anyway. This is obviously not true in the case of many fans, but those who hate or disapprove are often the most vocal. If nothing else, EVERYONE seems to have an opinion. I'm sure Adam is hurt by some of the things he reads, in spite of the fact that Roger and Brian of Queen are such big fans of his and asked him to join them on stage. Some of the hate is even directed at them, for daring to continue on without Freddie. Adam is good at forging ahead and trying to ignore the shit..but it still has to hurt a bit. I think he was really just feeling he had to acknowledge it and move on...I've left some positive comments in a few places, for instance a Huffington Post article that has drawn a lot of comments. As @JAK said in another comment on another thread, Adam always inspires passion..and I think he always will. I hope that someday all of the passion will be positive..

I try to keep that in mind when commenting on articles. "Educate" with love...not hate.

The best way to kill a hater is not to feed them. The whole goal of a hater is to get everyone upset and dig the hole deeper and deeper. Pounding on the top of ones head over and over again to make them feel small. I am sure all of us in our life have experianced that feeling at work,school,church etc.
We have to dig down deep in ourselves and find strength to overcome this. Adam however since he is famous it is coming at him in a rapid fire from all directions. That is where his family,friends and fandom come in to assure him his is loved,respected, and has a right to be here with his amazing talent.
As for the person who said they are questioning his self esteem is just another example of someone who loves to stir that pot of underlying hate. The old saying it takes one to know one....well...? and know I question that? Since I have been on the receiving end of that jealous hater it took me years to over come it and be strong.;when I quite reacting it seemed to go away. With Adam it is so strong no wonder he calls on his "Band Of Brothers" for back up. And that he should that is why we are called fans because we support him.#peace

So let me understand this - if a very popular lead singer of a group dies are the remaining members suppose to just stop performing? Does this also apply when the lead singer simply leaves the group? Should the remaining members spend the rest of their lives grieving and sitting in a corner sucking their thumbs in despair? I guess that's what some folks want. IMO they arent fans of Queen, rather only fans of Freddie Mercury and they should own up to that fact. I really should have had a bigger family, I keep finding people I want to add. As far as only as old as you feel, today I feel 120!
Had to use wheelchair to go to doctor, hurting like hell and he gouged on all my boo boos till my ears were filling with tears! Not exactly how I'd planned to spend my 55th anniversary! On the way home, sweetheart stopped at McDonalds and bought me a Big Mac and fries and milk shake....since I know arteries are clear, why not?
He bought me pink roses and two anniversary cards. Since I've been flat on my back, I got him nothing. I felt bad. As I rolled into bed with a lot of grunts, groans and whimpers, I said "Honey, I'm so sorry I didn't have a gift for you". He said "how about sex?" I threw all 4 bedpillows at him! He is wonderfully crazy.
