OT

Adam needs some positive comments on this site. I'm currently composing one. The article is about Haley Reinhart's new single and here's the relevant quote ...

'Personally, I dig the song. (At least this acoustic version.) It’s a welcome reprieve from the bland, over-produced pop that singing-competition alums often serve up with their first singles (see: Katharine McPhee’s “Over It,” Cher Lloyd’s “Swagger Jagger,” Adam Lambert’s “For Your Entertainment,” Committed’s “Break Free,” or, arguably, Pia Toscano’s “This Time”). The lovely, sloping melodies of the chorus show off Reinhart’s impressive range — she makes what could be a difficult song to sing sound effortlessly smooth.

You Go BB . . . .

I don't know, Anon. I took a look at those comments and they are mean to each other. You might feel better if you vote at vh1 again instead.

2:19 AM

I can't vote for VH1 where I live.

Of course it's nice to have Adam mentioned on a news show, but did it have to be FOX which is jam packed with homophobes?

I thought the Fox report was good, They didn't mention the AMA's or anything like that.

you can vote on vh1 wherever you live....you just can't watch the videos.
I can't watch the videos, but it accepts my votes each day, you just need to be on twitter or facebook. I've just set up a twitter account just to vote for Adam

Forgot to say, I love this clip they used, Adam singing Mad World at top 2, I think my favourite Idol performance of his, that look straight to the camera at the end....

12:56 I'm sure Adam would approve. Haley was his favourite Season 10 Idol contestant.

It's the comment by the author of that article 'It's a welcome change from the BLAND, OVER-PRODUCED pop that singing competition alums often serve up with their first singles ( ...... ADAM LAMBERT'S "FOR YOUR ENTERTAINMENT" .....)' that doesn't sit well with me but perhaps others aren't bothered by it.

6:30, I thought the same thing. I thought that this was criticizing that list of songs. Anyway, I like Haley well enough, but I'm not really following her. She was fine on AI. I am not reading any of the comments on articles about Adam and Queen. There is no point in making myself upset by the mindless haters. They make no sense whatsoever. They would hate anyone who they perceive as trying to "replace" Freddy. Adam will kick butt at that concert.

Adam's, For Your Entertainment, will stand the test of time. It was and is a great, original album - like no others out there. The writer of the article is an idiot. Just my opinion.

I really loved the clip and of course the beautiful Adam(still miss the emo hair though,)but that said we move on and yes I too think FYE was a really good cd!

First single done while on AI tour and popped out within 2 months....guess what I FRIGGIN LOVED IT . . don't care about bland, overproduced CD. . . . .when he went on tour he changed the songs up and all I really cared about is THE VOICE..OK I care about BB too!

Also agree with 6:30.

@ 3:36 If you really watch FOX and not listen to the hype about FOX you would know that they are not all homophobes.

I love Adam and FOX news.

was this a local station?

I get tired of things very easy I will listen to a song once- if I like it maybe 5 or 6 times then I am done with it just does not hold my interest now adam lamberts album FYE I have had in my car every since it came out have listened to it daily over & over have not been tired of it yet so for me that says a lot. I have tried to follow different artists on the computer but I go back to Adam daily boring I don't think so.

10:32 again I have been to hundreds of concerts once no desire to see who ever again Adam Lambert I have been to three I can not wait till he has another one so to me & my family Adam is not boring in any way. Just go to a live concert then see if you think he is boring.

All of could think of was Yay it was on Fox, whereas everyone I know watches that station except me!! Won't watch it!

I loved Haley on season 10! just checked out her song (thanks for the link @12:56) I love it, I think she is wildly unique (in an adele sort of way) she will go far. I'm for anyone that's different than these pop-diva's today.

10:32 -- Exactly what I wanted to write. I NEVER tire of listening to that CD. People complaining about that album have never listened to it, that I'm absolutely sure of.

By the way, you peeps copying this ignorant's comments everywhere doesn't help Adam in any way. People are entitled to their own opinions. Even Adam once said that not everybody will like his music and he was fine with that.

Let's just focus our energies on promoting Adam everywhere, not responding to stupid/haters/homophobic comments.

I just have to say, to place Adam's first single, to which the article that @anon 12:56 AM refers (not the whole Album FYE in this case..) in the "Bland and Overproduced" category, is pretty hilarious, and I have a feeling that person never actually listened to "For Your Entertainment", the single, because it sure as hell isn't "bland"!! LOL!! And as a bonus, they should watch the Music Video...Hahahahahaha! Bland??? No way in hell! And well, we know the AMA performance was in no way bland either..Still laughing about that comment....LMAO!!

glitzylady said...

Also, while it's just slightly ironic that Fox News, with their right-slanted political views, would post this..it actually makes complete and perfect sense, because after all, American Idol is on Fox..So as a result I am forever thankful to the Fox Network for broadcasting American Idol and introducing us to the fabulous and brilliant Adam Lambert...Not to mention thanking the Universe, God, Adam's parents, and most importantly Adam himself..

Anonymous said...

I go to VH1 . . . where do I find Adam's video so I can vote . . I was voting now I can't find it....

Anon @3:08

Right above the main heading to the right, click on 'Browse Artist A-Z'
Go to aqua colored alphabet bar and Click on L for Lambert.
A very old picture comes up. Scroll down past it about half way,to MUSIC VIDEOS. BTIKM is the first one. ENJOY, & vote too from the top 20 page. =)

Awwww...a bunch of right-wingers that love Adam...all is right with the world...
I love Adam, but I have to agree with the comment about "FYE", the single. To me, it ws over-produced pop. I wasn't crazy about it. I thought "WWFM" should have been the first single. Maybe it was "over-produced" pop, too. I don't care, I liked it. Hey, it is what it is. Don't get so upset over words. If you like it, who cares what people label it?
Oh, anon @10:44, you don't watch FOX news? Watch it, you'll die laughing. The bias is so obvious, it's humorous. But I do like Shephard Smith.

@Anon 3:26
I was personally cracking up at the "bland" label...because whatever else you describe it as, bland it isn't! And since most pop is "overproduced" it seemed to be a redundant statement to be honest. Not that it matters... : )))

I actually left a comment on the Haley Reinhart Entertainment Weekly article, first praising her beautiful song and then joking about the author's use of the word "bland" to describe "FYI" the single, because whether one likes the song or not, it isn't bland..I mean seriously...and the author chose not to publish my comment, which I found interesting..It was in no way disrespectful to his judgement, just suggesting that perhaps he revisit that single, and I also left a link to the Music Video, which was in NO WAY bland (LOL!!) Oh well...Water under the bridge and all......

To all you Foxophobes:

Just shows how unknowledgeable you left-wingers are. This Fox channel is a local one as are NBC, CBS, ABC. Shepard Smith is on the cable Fox channel along with some very intelligent people who always give both sides of the story. CNN, MSNBC, CNBC are the cable channels you would want to watch.

If you don't know what you're watching, how can you hate it. And if you don't watch it, how can you say you hate it? It is folks like you who are keeping
Adam down with your biased speech.

Open your eyes and horizons; you might find it useful when you vote next time for Obama who is against gay marriage. And you liking these rising gas prices? Obama said "Under my plan, energy costs will necessarily skyrocket." Energy = fuel. Fuel = gas.

I LOVE ADAM LAMBERT AND I'M A CONSERVATIVE CHRISTIAN! Now I'll face the other way so you can all stab me in the back.
